Chapter 166 (Prison Trial) Whispering Sweet nothings
"Wait, stop touching me."
Navelette began to struggle, but fearing he might hurt the human in front of him, he moved very gently.
"Um... let me go first."
Villette's struggles did not make Leosley release him; instead, they only aroused Leosley's interest even more.
Leosley lowered his head and kissed Navelette's cheek to comfort her, then continued to stroke the pair of deep blue, dragon-horn-like hairs with his fingers.
Navelette is not good at saying no to Leosley, and he is always the one being led along, especially in matters of the heart.
As Leosley continued his unrestrained movements, Vilette's trembling intensified, her struggles weakened, and she began to breathe softly. To Leosley, this was incredibly arousing.
Leosley leaned close to Villette's ear and planted another lingering kiss on it.
"I've always been curious, are these your dragon horns? They feel really nice to touch."
Leosley whispered something in Vilette's ear as he put down the pair of dark blue shoes. But he didn't let go of Vilette's hands, still holding him intimately.
“Yes.” Navelette paused, seemingly to calm her breathing. “This place is very sensitive.”
After hearing Villette's words, the warden was stunned for a moment, then burst into laughter. Under Villette's bewildered gaze, Leosley felt that his presiding judge was rather dim-witted, actually telling him such a weakness so directly.
Leosley's eyes brightened slightly, and he couldn't help but kiss Vilette. One, two, light kisses landed on Vilette's lips one after another, reminding him of the feel of a crystal butterfly landing on his fingertips.
In those light kisses, Navelette thought of the pleasant sunshine and the vast ocean. Feeling the person in front of her release his hands, Navelette didn't push him away, but instead embraced the human before her.
A warm embrace, warm-hearted people.
Navelette thought that although she still didn't understand humans, living like this was quite nice.
The two lingered intimately by the door for a while before returning to their normal interactions. Thankfully, the door was closed; otherwise, if others had seen them, gossip about the judge would have quickly spread through the newspapers.
Navelette looked at Leosley, who was almost collapsed on the bed, and asked him a question.
"Have you not had a proper rest for a few days?"
Navelette, having removed his coat, wore a white shirt, revealing a slender waist. His light-colored hair fell obediently down his back, swaying gently with his movements. Leosley, seeing this, felt a renewed surge of attraction.
"Ah, I was a little excited the other day."
Upon hearing Leosley's reply, Navelette walked over and sat down on the bed next to him.
Leosley hugged Navelette and kissed him affectionately before lying down on his lap. His dark head rested on Navelette's lap, and Navelette couldn't resist stroking his hair. Soft and fluffy, it really did resemble a large dog.
“It wasn’t originally my business to go out to buy things, but I haven’t seen you in a long time. We both have a lot of things to do, so we can’t just find an excuse to meet.”
“But,” Leosley seemed to have thought of something and chuckled, “our head nurse is very clever.”
"Higwen?"
Navelette immediately thought of her; he had always thought highly of this child.
"The original purchasing agent was unwell, so we found her. As a result, she was unable to make the purchases on her advice. It just so happened that I, the warden, was free recently, so I came out to make the purchases."
"That application on your desk was her idea too."
Leosley laughed, his icy blue eyes narrowing.
"This is the first time someone has applied to have the presiding judge accompany them, and it actually went through."
Navelette paused for a moment upon hearing this, then decided it was best not to tell Leosley the truth.
In fact, that application would never have been approved under normal procedures.
However, Siegfried was clever; she contacted Navelette beforehand. Navelette, of course, didn't refuse and took the document directly back to her office. Needless to say, those working at the time were utterly shocked by Navelette's actions.
Navelette said nothing, but continued to stroke Leosley's head. His movements were very gentle, making Leosley feel a little sleepy.
The room was quiet for a while, then Villette heard Leosley murmur, "I just can't sleep because I'm about to see you."
Leosley stirred, burying his face in Vilette's waist and abdomen. Feeling Vilette's presence, Leosley's weary mind finally calmed down.
The environment was so pleasant, like being immersed in a bed on a quiet afternoon, surrounded by a sense of peace. It seemed that the dappled shadows of the trees outside the window were scattered and intertwined, leaving a patchwork of dappled light on the ground.
In such a comfortable environment, Leosley's consciousness gradually became hazy, and he almost fell asleep.
"...I missed you so much."
In his hazy state, Leosley's voice vanished as quickly as a bird flitting by. But Villette heard the whisper clearly. His hand clenched unconsciously, then quickly released it upon realizing it.
Navelette stroked the head on his lap again; the soft hair felt like cotton, softening his heart. He gently touched Leosley's cheek, his fingertips tracing the lines on his face. The touch was as light as a gentle drizzle, not enough to wake Leosley.
After a long pause, Villette finally gave a faint smile.
The dim bedside lamp blurred the vision and cast a warm glow throughout the room.
Exhausted, Leosley's breathing was heavy, prompting Navelette to gently touch his cheek. A sudden surge of emotion welled up within him, an emotion he still wasn't quite used to. A sour, astringent feeling, like eating an unripe tangerine.
After a long while, it seemed as if Villette had made up his mind. He whispered, "I miss you too."
His ear tips were a little red and hot.
It wasn't just one person who was longing for her, otherwise Villette wouldn't have agreed to Siegwen's strange idea. No one knew that when Villette first thought of that dark figure, the tip of her pen smudged the entire page.
The water dragon, attempting to integrate into human society, tasted for the first time how lingering and intense longing was, making it impossible for him to concentrate on his work.
It wasn't until I saw the other person again that my restless heart finally calmed down.
