Chapter 1 (Knowledgeable) Will the Swallowtail Butterfly Land in Your Palm?

The premise is that the two are deeply in love and living together.

OOC apologizes

When Alhesen was young, he encountered a beautiful swallowtail butterfly, which gracefully flew away. Later, Alhesen met a handsome senior, who was exquisitely beautiful and somewhat resembled the swallowtail butterfly from before. However, this time the butterfly did not fly away but landed in his palm.

Kavi felt something was off ever since he finished his last job. His back was always itchy, as if something was there, but when he touched it, there was nothing there but a smooth surface.

"Elheisen, can you take a look at me? My back feels a bit itchy. Do you see any marks?" Kavi sat sideways on the sofa, his shirt half off. He turned to Elheisen, who had just come home, and spoke to him.

Elhesen put down what he was holding, walked closer to Kavi, and said, "When you went to accept that commission in the forest, I reminded you that you shouldn't have worn those clothes in the forest."

Kavi seemed a little guilty, but put on a confident demeanor. "That outfit of mine was specially designed, and the order was urgent, so I didn't have time to buy new clothes."

Elhesen sighed. That idiot Kavi always left him exasperated, yet he didn't want to be harsh with him. Elhesen examined it carefully; there were no marks. He reached out and touched it—hmm, quite smooth.

After touching Kavi's back, Elhesen felt there was nothing wrong. "Do you still feel itchy? Could it be that you bumped into something? There's nothing wrong with your back."

Kavi paused, carefully feeling around, and confirmed that the itching had indeed subsided. He scratched his head and said to Elhesen, "It's not really itchy anymore. Did I make a mistake?" Then he blushed again, turned around, and unleashed a torrent of abuse at Elhesen: "Stop touching me! You're taking advantage of me!"

"Tsk." Seeing this, Elhesen lowered his hand and tapped Kavi on the head. He turned and went to the kitchen. "Get yourself ready, we'll eat in a bit." He left the blonde beauty sitting on the sofa, looking ashamed and indignant, like a cat with its fur standing on end.

Things are starting to change.

The first to notice was Elhesen. That morning, as usual, Elhesen patted Kavi's back, who was nestled in his arms like a child. After the pat, his hand stopped. He was quite certain that two small bumps had inexplicably appeared on Kavi's back. They hadn't been there the night before.

Elhesen turned Kavi over in his arms and lifted his shirt to look at his back. Two small bumps of the same size had appeared on a patch of fair, smooth skin. They were the same color as his skin, only raised. Elhesen reached out and touched the two bumps; they were soft, like normal skin.

Kavi was also woken up by Elhesen's actions. He tried to turn over and go back to sleep, but couldn't because Elhesen had pressed him down. Kavi groggily opened his eyes, "What are you doing so early in the morning?" Unable to turn over, Kavi muttered a reproachful rebuke to Elhesen, then tried to go back to sleep. However, the touch on his back made it impossible for him to fall back asleep, so he could only open his eyes and stare blankly with some resentment.

"Kavi, I think there's something wrong with your back. We need to see a doctor." Elhesen's somewhat hoarse voice reached Kavi clearly. Kavi wondered what could be wrong, then touched his back. It wasn't as smooth as usual; he could clearly feel two bulges.

Kavi snapped back to reality, even sitting bolt upright and repeatedly touching his back to make sure it wasn't a hallucination. He pinched his cheek, realizing with a sense of despair that it wasn't a dream, and then grabbed Elheisen, clapping, "What do we do! What do we do?"

03

Elhesen looked helplessly at the people sneaking around behind him.

He was wearing the same clothes he always wore, just with a coat over them. Even though they'd left together, the creature wouldn't walk beside him, instead trailing behind like a member of a scheming heist gang. Sighing, Elhesen could only ignore the bewildered looks from passersby and continue walking.

"Tinari, what should I do? I have two lumps on my back! My body has become like this, ahhhhh..." Hearing Kavi's wails, Tinari painfully grabbed his ears and tried to press them down, hoping to quiet the noise. Then he stared at Elhesen, who was sitting in a classic reading posture beside him. Elhesen also felt the gaze and closed his book.

“He’s been like this all morning. I noticed it when I touched him this morning. He refuses to go to the health center; he trusts you more.” Al-Hysen paused, his tone serious. “Kavi mentioned a few days ago that his back was a little itchy, but there was no problem then. These two bumps just appeared this morning. Please help me.”

Tina was taken aback by Elhesen's serious expression for a moment, then replied earnestly, "I'll do my best, leave it to me!" The two then looked speechlessly at Kavi, who was still shouting himself hoarse. They didn't know what to say.

After a while, Kavi, forced to quiet down, finally lay obediently on the bed. Tinari carefully examined his back, made some notes, and then carefully extracted some blood with a syringe. After completing a series of examinations, Tinari told Elhesen to wait for the test results, and then Elhesen took the listless Kavi home.

When he got home, he felt sorry for Kavi, who was still looking a bit listless.

"Won't it really hurt?"

"Of course, it doesn't hurt."

Looking up at Elheisen, Kavi clearly saw the concern in his eyes. Feeling genuinely cared for, Kavi felt a warmth in his heart. Although still worried about the two bags behind him, Kavi still cheered Elheisen up and comforted him. Kavi was always like this, treating others far less well than himself.

Elheisen reached out and touched Kavi's cheek, a hint of worry in his eyes. Kavi brought his cheek close to Elheisen's palm, took his fingers in his hand, and then smiled brightly. He looked at Elheisen with a sweet expression, and the two comforted each other in a heartwarming moment.

04

Somehow, things seem to have changed.

The two bags on their backs had grown quite large over time, causing them both distress. Kavi hadn't left the house for two days, and Elheisen had also stayed home, quietly keeping him company.

Finally, after dinner that evening, a shocking change occurred to Kavi's back. At that moment, they had just finished eating; one was hunched over the sofa, sketching and writing, while the other sat beside him, engrossed in a new book. Suddenly, Kavi let out a muffled groan of pain. Al-Hysen's pupils constricted sharply, and he quickly went to the sofa, staring in astonishment at the change in Kavi's back.

Visibly, the package burst open, like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon. No, it should be said that it was a butterfly emerging from its cocoon. The two packages inexplicably disintegrated into fragments and gradually disappeared, replaced by a pair of incredibly beautiful wings. The wings grew larger and larger, then slowly unfolded and fluttered.

After watching the whole thing, even he felt like he was dreaming. The wings were incredibly beautiful, with a predominantly gold base and scattered crimson patterns. They looked somewhat like a swallowtail butterfly, but without the black background.

Elhesen touched the wings with a dreamy expression. They were a little cool, but still slightly warm, probably because they had just been born. They should cool down after they calmed down. They resembled butterfly wings, but without phosphorus powder; instead, they looked more like the wings of a crystal butterfly.

"Are you alright? How are you feeling?" Elhesen asked Kavi after putting his hand down.

Kavi turned around, somewhat bewildered, feeling something flapping against his back. Turning his head, he saw a pair of wings that perfectly matched his aesthetic sense. He admired them inwardly for a moment, then realized what was happening. He murmured to Elhesen, "No...nothing's wrong, it doesn't hurt anymore..."

Some of them snapped out of their daze, touched the wings on their backs, were startled by the sensation, and then looked on with a sudden, sorrowful realization. "Have I turned into a monster? What am I going to do, Elheisen!"

Elhesen didn't know either, but looking at Kavi who was shouting again, Elhesen had a headache.

05

This wasn't the first time Tinari had visited their home, but this was the first time he had been so shocked.

"I never imagined your dream wings would be like this. It really suits your personality." Tinari stroked his chin, looking at the wings on Kavi's back with some amazement. After his exclamation, he even gave Kavi a thumbs up.

Just as Kavi looked at Tinari with grief and indignation, Elhesen understood something from Tinari's words, and his nerves, which had been tense for several days, began to relax.

"You...you...you're still laughing at me? Aren't we best friends? Damn it, next time I'm going to get you drunk and then have Seno chase after you telling you lame jokes!"

Enraged, Kavi launched an attack on Tinari, but it was ineffective. Tinari, however, was confident that Kavi couldn't out-duel him, and that Seno was more obedient to him. But the astute Tinari didn't intend to reveal this. He shared the information he had gathered with the two men before him.

Wings of Dreams, a story existing in the rainforest. Legend has it that deep within the forest lives a group of fairies who fly through the sky, possessing the purest white wings, as clear and beautiful as crystal. Like all fairy tales, a newborn fairy in the tribe was born without wings. But it did not lose heart, nor did it give up its dream. It crossed mountains and rivers, finally reaching its dreamland, where it grew its own wings and soared through the skies with its people.

"And that elf praises all those who have dreams. It will give a pair of wings to those who are true to their ideals, called the Wings of Dreams, which symbolize your dreams. Don't worry, Kavi, I've read many books. These wings will only last for a few days, and then your life will go back to normal."

Tina smiled as she looked at Kavi, whose wings she saw as beautiful as her own dreams. Before seeing Kavi's wings, she hadn't really believed what was written in books; even if there was a case, it was from a century ago. But now everything unfolded exactly as recorded in the books, and she could finally relax.

As a good friend, Tinari was delighted. He was happy that Kavi didn't have any strange or weird illness, and he was happy for his beautiful dream. These wings perfectly embodied Kavi's dream—splendid, passionate, and breathtaking.

Kavi, who had just been condemning Tinari, paused for a moment. He stared wide-eyed, somewhat dazed, at Tinari as he listened to his entire story. Then he looked at Elheisen, and finally touched the wings on his back. My dream…

After instructing Elheisen to take good care of Kavi, Tinaly left. The dizziness and blurred vision he had experienced while researching the past two days had left him physically and mentally exhausted, and he probably needed a good rest. Before leaving, he hoped that Seno wouldn't take a break these few days; he didn't want to have to listen to someone's lame jokes on top of resting.

After seeing Tinari off, Kavi looked at Elhesen somewhat bewildered, like a child who had made a mistake.

"What should we do next?"

Elhesen glanced at Kavi and said coldly, "Eat. You didn't eat properly this morning!"

06

Kavi touched his wings again, then secretly glanced at Elhesen.

Feeling Kavi's gaze again, Elhesen sighed helplessly. That idiot had been peeking at him every now and then since morning.

"Hey, Elhesen, what do you think of my wings?" Kavi finally asked after holding it in all day; he still cared a lot about Elhesen's opinion of him.

“It’s beautiful, truly dazzling,” Elhesen commented.

Indeed, those butterfly-like wings were incomparably beautiful. The gold, like Kavi's hair, made them shimmer in the light. The crimson patterns outlined on them made them even more striking. Kavi himself was captivated by the wings, touching them repeatedly. Elhesen also liked them, but he didn't make a move, simply waiting for someone to come to him.

Of course, he also knew that Kavi wasn't just asking about the wings. That fool might not have even noticed his own anxious expression, but Elhesen could see it very clearly.

"What are you confused about again?" Elhesen sat down next to Kavi. He gently stroked the wings and asked Kavi softly, his careful manner as if he were terribly afraid of disturbing the butterfly.

Kavi felt a little uncomfortable being touched on his wings and turned away slightly. "Stop touching me, it's a bit uncomfortable." Then, somewhat bewildered, he asked Elheisen, "My dream... is to have wings like a butterfly?"

Elheisen felt he understood Kavi's meaning. After a brief moment of thought, Elheisen took Kavi's hand and guided it behind him. "It's different, feel it for yourself." Kavi immediately felt the texture in his hand. He had been touching it himself all morning and was quite used to it. It was cool, and unexpectedly somewhat hard.

"Does it feel a bit stiff? Butterfly wings aren't this stiff. Your wings aren't just beautiful, they're also resilient. Correspondingly, your dreams are also magnificent and indestructible." Elhesen's words echoed in Kavi's ears, and Kavi was still somewhat bewildered. But inexplicably, he felt at peace. He nestled in Elhesen's arms, burying his face in them. After a while, a muffled sound came from within.

"Of course I know that my ideal is the greatest."

Al-Hysen knew Kavi was doing well now. The fragile yet beautiful swallowtail butterfly, after many twists and turns, had finally landed lightly in his palm. Having entrusted him with this task, he would protect this clumsy butterfly. Al-Hysen smiled, then suddenly scooped Kavi up and carried him to the bedroom.

“You seem very energetic, so now it’s time for adults to get into it.”

He ignored the struggles of the woman in his arms and strode into the bedroom. A few angry curses could be faintly heard, but the Chief Secretary paid them no heed. Having appeased his wife, it was now her turn to appease him.
