The four of them ran wildly and finally escaped the pursuit of the light-eating moth.

At this moment, they arrived at a relatively open area, with some huge stone statues scattered around. These statues had no faces, but they gave people an eerie sense of oppression.

"Where is this place?" Lu Lingxi looked around warily, an unusual atmosphere permeating the air.

“These stone statues… are a bit strange.” The white tiger walked up to a stone statue and examined it carefully.

Nine-Tailed Fox also came over. He stroked the cracks on the base of the stone statue and said thoughtfully, "These patterns... look a lot like the markings on the ancient star map of the demon race, but... the position of July seems to have been altered."

"An ancient star map of the demon race?" Lu Lingxi was taken aback, as she didn't know much about the demon race.

"The ancient star chart of the demon race is an ancient totem used by the demon race for divination and recording celestial phenomena. Each position corresponds to a different star and power," Nine-Tailed Fox explained. "The seventh position represents... wait, why is there a gap here?"

Nine-Tails was surprised to find that the place where the July star mark should have been engraved was actually blank.

"Could it be that it's been too long and weathered away?" Youming guessed.

“Impossible. The stone statues here are made of very hard material. Even if they were weathered, they wouldn’t leave such a clean gap.” Nine-Tails shook his head. He had a feeling that something was hidden behind this gap.

Suddenly, Youming seemed to have discovered something. He exclaimed "Eh!" and jumped onto the shoulder of a stone statue, pointing behind the statue's ear and saying, "Look! There's a Luyao Divine Mark here!"

Lu Lingxi and Baihu quickly went over and saw a faint mark behind the stone statue's ear. It was the divine mark of Lu Yao, one of the four ancient gods.

"Lu Yao's divine markings... how could they appear here?" Lu Lingxi Yao's doubts deepened.

"This gap... needs to be filled with both light and darkness simultaneously," Nine-Tailed Fox suddenly said, seemingly having received some kind of inspiration from the ancient star map of the demon race.

Upon hearing this, Lu Lingxi Yao immediately mobilized the light and darkness elements within her body, slowly injecting them into the empty space at the base of the stone statue.

The moment the light and dark elements were injected, the twelve faceless stone statues suddenly moved, forming a strange array that surrounded Lu Lingxi and the others.

"This is a killing formation!" Baihu's expression changed as he felt a powerful killing intent rushing towards him.

"These stone statues have been activated!" Youming also became nervous.

"It seems we've triggered a mechanism here," Lu Lingxi said calmly, gripping her Flying Snow Sword and assuming a fighting stance.

The White Tiger noticed that the weapons held by these stone statues seemed to have something special about them. He tried to infuse the gold element into the spear held by one of the stone statues, and then had Youming channel the wood element into the shield of another stone statue...

When Lu Lingxi Yao infused the light and darkness elements into the eyes of the stone statue, a three-dimensional star map projection suddenly appeared on the ground. The light from the star map converged into a beam of light, pointing towards a snow-capped mountain in the north.

"This is... guidance?" Lu Lingxi Yao looked at the beam of light, lost in thought.

"It seems we have to go and check out that snow mountain," said the white tiger.

After the star map projection disappeared, the twelve stone statues returned to their static state.

The four of them bypassed the stone statue and continued forward. They passed through a pile of ruins and came to a secret chamber. The door to the chamber was half open, revealing half of a bronze coffin.

"There seems to be something in here." Nine-Tails walked up to the bronze coffin, about to examine it closely.

Suddenly, several crystallized tentacles emerged from the coffin and entangled the Nine-Tailed Fox!

"Nine-tailed!" Lu Lingxi exclaimed in surprise, and quickly swung her sword to slash at the tentacles.

The nine-tailed fox tail instantly exploded with a nine-colored halo, but was eroded in the opposite direction the moment it touched the crystallized tentacles. The translucent purple crystals spread rapidly along the tip of its tail.

"These tentacles are strange!" The white tiger tried to attack with gold element, but found that the gold element was absorbed by the tentacles, which instead accelerated their spread.

Youming also tried to attack with fire and dark elements, but to no avail. Those crystallized tentacles have a special ability to devour, and can absorb the power of various elements.

"Don't use elemental attacks!" Lu Lingxi Yao immediately reminded him upon seeing this.

The Flying Snow Sword in her hand gleamed with a cold light, and layers of frost formed around its blade. She intended to use pure physical attacks, devoid of any elemental power.

"Crack!"

The Flying Snow Sword struck the tentacle with a crisp sound, severing a section of the crystallized tentacle. However, new tentacles quickly grew from the broken end, and they were even thicker than before.

"If this continues, the Nine-Tailed Fox will be petrified!" Youming said anxiously.

Lu Lingxi observed the tentacles and discovered that at the base of the tentacles, inside the bronze coffin, there seemed to be a purple light flickering.

"Attack that purple light!" Lu Lingxi said to Baihu and Youming.

The White Tiger and the Netherworld immediately changed their targets. The White Tiger swung its huge claws and slammed them hard against the bronze coffin, while the Netherworld transformed into its spirit pet form, using its small body to squeeze into the gaps in the bronze coffin and grab at the purple light with its sharp claws.

"boom!"

The white tiger's claw struck the bronze coffin with a loud bang, but the bronze coffin remained completely still.

"Squeak!"

The Netherworld's attack was effective; its claws tore through the purple light, which quickly dimmed, and the tentacles wrapped around the Nine-Tailed Fox stopped growing and began to slowly retreat.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, the Nine-Tailed Fox broke free from the tentacles' restraints. He looked at the tentacles that had retreated back into the bronze coffin with lingering fear, and his nine tails were somewhat stiff.

"What is that?" the white tiger asked.

“I don’t know, but it’s definitely not a good thing,” Lu Lingxi said as she walked to the bronze coffin and examined it carefully.

The surface of the bronze coffin is covered with patterns, which are somewhat similar to those on the previous stone statues, only more ancient and mysterious.

“This coffin… seems to be used to suppress some kind of evil spirit,” Nine-Tails said, having regained some of his strength and transformed back into human form.

"An evil object?" Lu Lingxi's heart stirred. She recalled the gap she had seen on the ancient star map of the demon race, as well as the appearance of Lu Yao's divine runes.

"Let's get out of here quickly," Youming suggested, not wanting to encounter anything strange again.

Lu Lingxi and Yao nodded, and the four of them walked around the bronze coffin and continued deeper into the secret chamber.

At the end of the secret room was a stone door with a groove shaped like a key.

“It seems we need to find the key to open this door,” said the White Tiger.

The four searched the secret room carefully, but found nothing.

"Could it be... that the key is inside that bronze coffin?" Youming suddenly said.

Lu Lingxi hesitated for a moment. She also thought it was possible, but the bronze coffin was too strange, and she didn't want to take any more risks.

“I’ll go take a look,” Nine-Tails said.

"Be careful," Lu Lingxi Yao cautioned.

Nine-Tails returned to the bronze coffin, took a deep breath, and slowly opened the lid.

The coffin contained no horrifying scene as one might have imagined; instead, there was only a desiccated corpse clutching a bronze key in its hand.

Nine-Tailed Fox took out the key and quickly closed the coffin lid.

"Found it!" Nine-Tailed Fox handed the key to Lu Lingxi Yao.

Lu Lingxi Yao inserted the key into the groove of the stone door and turned it gently.

"Click!"

The stone door slowly opened, revealing a dark passage.

The four exchanged a glance and stepped inside. The passage was long, and after walking for a while, a glimmer of light suddenly appeared ahead. The four quickened their pace and walked towards the entrance of the passage.
