The Frosty Continent, as its name suggests, is covered in ice and snow all year round. The biting cold wind, mixed with ice shards, relentlessly lashes at the face like a knife. As soon as Lu Lingxi and Nalan Rongzhi landed, they were enveloped by this extreme cold.

Lu Lingxi frowned slightly, a thin layer of frost condensing on her eyelashes. She raised her hand to brush it away, a faint, glistening light emanating from her fingertips, warding off the biting cold wind.

Nalan Rongzhi draped a thick black mink coat over her shoulders, his deep voice carrying a hint of concern: "Yaoyao, be careful not to catch a cold."

Lu Lingxi nodded, then looked around and found that they were in a desolate snowfield. As far as the eye could see, there was only a few withered trees covered in ice and snow, except for the vast expanse of white snow.

"Is this the Frostbite Continent?" Lu Lingxi's voice was cold and devoid of any emotion.

Nalan Rongzhi nodded, his slender fingers gently stroking the back of her hand, trying to bring her some warmth.

"Let's go." Lu Lingxi said succinctly, taking the lead in walking forward. A faint golden light emanated from her, keeping out the oppressive chill.

Nalan Rongzhi followed closely behind, a hint of worry flashing in his eyes. The Frostland Continent was fraught with danger, and he had to remain vigilant at all times to protect her safety.

The two walked in the snowfield for about an hour. The scenery around them was still monotonous and boring. Just when Lu Lingxi was getting a little impatient, a simple village built of ice and snow suddenly appeared in front of them.

“It seems that people live here,” Nalan Rongzhi said.

Lu Lingxi didn't speak, but quickened her pace. She wasn't interested in these trivial matters; she just wanted to find Jing Shilian as soon as possible and save Lan Yuan.

The two entered the village and found it quiet and deserted, with all the doors and windows of the houses tightly closed, as if they had been abandoned.

“Something’s strange.” Nalan Rongzhi frowned, a sense of foreboding washing over him.

Suddenly, a chilling laugh came from behind, sending shivers down one's spine.

"Who is it?" Lu Lingxi Yao looked in the direction from which the voice came and asked in a cold voice.

A short, menacing-looking man approached, his body wrapped in thick animal hides, his eyes fierce. "I am Ice Fiend, the leader of the Ice and Snow Tribe. Who are you? What are you doing here in the Ice and Snow Tribe?" he asked gruffly, his tone full of hostility.

“We are just passing through and would like to ask for lodging for the night.” Nalan Rongzhi spoke calmly, his tone composed yet carrying an undeniable authority.

Ice Fiend sized them up, a glint of greed in his eyes. Their clothes were magnificent, clearly indicating they were not ordinary people. In this resource-scarce Frostland, outsiders often meant wealth, but also... becoming their prey.

"You can stay here, but you'll have to pay a price." Bing Sha grinned, revealing a mouthful of yellow teeth that was nauseating.

A cold glint flashed in Lu Lingxi's eyes. She hated being threatened the most. Just as she was about to speak, Nalan Rongzhi stopped her.

"What price?" Nalan Rongzhi asked, his tone still calm, as if he didn't care about Bing Sha's threat at all.

Bing Sha extended his stubby fingers and pointed at Lu Lingxi Yao, "Leave her here."

A murderous glint flashed in Nalan Rongzhi's eyes, and a chilling aura emanated from him. "You, say it again?"

Bing Sha was intimidated by Nalan Rongzhi's imposing aura and involuntarily took a step back, but greed still overcame fear. "Leave her here, and you can stay here for the night, otherwise..."

"Otherwise what?" Lu Lingxi sneered, her eyes flashing even colder.

Before Bing Sha could answer, the ground suddenly began to shake violently, and a deafening roar came from afar. A huge ice beast appeared in their field of vision, its body covered with thick ice armor, its eyes flashing with ferocity, and it charged towards them.

"Yao Yao, be careful!" Nalan Rongzhi pulled Lu Lingxi Yao behind him, his eyes full of worry.

"Overestimating yourself." Lu Lingxi snorted coldly, a cold glint flashing in her eyes.

Upon seeing this, Bing Sha turned pale with fright and turned to run away.

"Trying to run?" Lu Lingxi sneered, condensing a ball of icy blue spiritual energy in her hand and shooting it towards Bing Sha's leg.

Ice Demon screamed and fell to the ground, unable to move.

"Now, it's time to settle our score." Lu Lingxi walked step by step toward Bing Sha, her eyes filled with killing intent.

However, the giant ice beast had already rushed in front of them, its huge claws slamming down towards Nalan Rongzhi.

A cold glint flashed in Nalan Rongzhi's eyes as he condensed a ball of black demonic energy in his hand to meet the giant beast's attack.

With a deafening roar, the demonic energy collided with the giant claw, unleashing a powerful shockwave that shattered the surrounding igloos and sent snow and ice flying everywhere.

Nalan Rongzhi remained motionless, while the giant ice beast was forced back several steps, letting out a painful roar.

"Yaoyao, step back first," Nalan Rongzhi said in a deep voice, a hint of solemnity flashing in his eyes. The strength of this ice field behemoth was even greater than he had imagined.

Lu Lingxi shook her head, "Let's solve it together."

Looking into Lu Lingxi Yao's determined eyes, Nalan Rongzhi felt a surge of warmth in his heart. He smiled slightly and said, "Okay."

The two stood side by side. Lu Lingxi raised her hand slightly, and five-colored light flowed between her five fingers. Colorful spiritual power quickly gathered at her fingertips. A cold smile appeared on her lips as she said softly, "Beast, prepare to die."

Just then, a melodious flute tune drifted from afar. The tune was gentle and lingering, carrying a strange magic that seemed to penetrate the depths of the soul.

Upon hearing the flute, the previously ferocious ice beast suddenly ceased its attack. The fierce light in its enormous eyes gradually faded, replaced by a trace of confusion and fear.

It scratched at the ground uneasily, making low whimpering sounds, trembling like a child who had done something wrong.

"Controlling beasts with flute music?" Lu Lingxi frowned slightly, a hint of doubt flashing in her eyes. She turned to look at Nalan Rongzhi, only to find that he also looked puzzled.

Nalan Rongzhi pursed his thin lips, his deep gaze fixed on the direction from which the flute music came. "Interesting."
