Transmigrating to become Hua Qiangu

Chapter 74 Embarking on a New Journey, Friendships Grow Stronger

"We're finally out!" You Ruo jumped up excitedly, her face beaming with the joy of surviving a close call. "This fog was really troublesome; it almost trapped us!"

“Yes!” Tang Bao chimed in, perched on Hua Qiangu’s shoulder. “That was really dangerous! I thought we were going to be lost forever!”

Sha Qianmo flicked his sleeves and said with a smile, "Hmph, how could this little bit of fog possibly trap us? However, we can't let our guard down. Danger has been one thing after another along the way!"

Ni Mantian looked around and nodded, "That's right, we need to be careful. Who knows what the next danger will be?"

Shuofeng gripped his weapon tightly: "Whatever it is, we'll face it together. After everything that's happened, we're not so easily defeated!"

Bai Zihua gazed into the distance with a solemn expression: "This place is not safe to stay any longer. Let's continue our journey and leave this dangerous place as soon as possible."

The group continued along the path, and the surrounding scenery gradually changed. The trees became sparser, and the ground transformed from soft grass into a wasteland covered with pebbles. The sky remained overcast, as if a huge gray curtain had been draped over the earth.

"This place looks so desolate!" You Ruo said, frowning. "It has an inexplicable eeriness to it!"

"Don't scare yourself!" Hua Qiangu patted You Ruo's shoulder. "We're here, nothing will happen."

Suddenly, a strange roar came from ahead, a deep and resonant sound that seemed to emanate from the depths of the earth. The group immediately became alert and stopped in their tracks.

"What's that sound? It doesn't sound good!" Dongfang Yuqing frowned.

"Whatever it is, prepare for battle!" Sha Qianmo shouted, a weapon already appearing in his hand, its light flashing.

As the roar drew closer, the ground began to tremble violently, dust billowing up. A colossal earth-dwelling beast emerged from the ground, its massive body covered in hard scales, each scale gleaming with a metallic sheen. The beast's eyes, like two enormous red lanterns, shone with a ferocious light, and its gaping maw was filled with sharp fangs.

"Wow, this monster is terrifying!" Youruo exclaimed.

"Don't be afraid, Youruo! Let's go together!" Hua Qiangu shouted, charging towards the earth beast first, her sword gleaming with sharp sword energy.

Sha Qianmo followed closely behind, shouting, "Hmph, watch how I deal with you, you beast!" He unleashed a dazzling spell, attacking the earth-walking beast.

Ni Mantian and Shuofeng exchanged a glance and simultaneously rushed towards the side of the earth-walking beast, attempting to attack its weak point.

"Everyone be careful of its attack!" Bai Zihua warned, flashing in front of everyone to prepare for the earth-walking beast's attack.

The earth-walking beast opened its massive jaws and lunged at Hua Qiangu. Hua Qiangu dodged the attack with a swift movement, simultaneously thrusting her sword towards the beast's eye. The beast roared in pain and fury, its enormous claws slamming down towards Hua Qiangu.

"Master, be careful!" You Ruo shouted. She cast a spell, summoning an earthen wall to block the earth-walking beast and Hua Qiangu. The earthen wall collapsed instantly under the earth-walking beast's attack, but it bought Hua Qiangu some time.

"You Ruo, well done!" Hua Qiangu shouted, and attacked the earth beast again.

Sha Qianmo's spells kept hitting the earth-walking beast, but the beast's scales were too hard, only making it angrier.

"That won't do, its scales are too thick, we have to attack its belly!" Ni Mantian shouted, noticing that the scales on the earth-walking beast's belly were relatively thin.

"Alright, let's give it a try!" Shuofeng replied, and the two attacked the earth-walking beast's abdomen.

Bai Zihua seized the opportunity and unleashed his swordsmanship, stabbing at the earth-walking beast's leg joint in an attempt to restrict its movement. The earth-walking beast, wounded in the leg, became sluggish.

"Now! Everyone, attack its belly!" Hua Qiangu shouted.

With everyone working together, they launched a fierce attack on the earth-walking beast's abdomen. The earth-walking beast struggled in pain, but under the combined assault of the group, it gradually lost its strength and finally collapsed to the ground with a thud.

"Phew, we finally defeated it!" Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

"Is everyone alright?" Hua Qiangu asked, relieved to see that everyone looked tired but safe and sound.

"It's alright, but this monster is really hard to deal with!" Sha Qianmo wiped the sweat from his forehead.

“Yes, we need to rest and recover our strength,” Dongfang Yuqing said.

The group found a relatively safe place to rest, ate some dry rations, and regained some strength.

"After so many battles, I feel like I've gotten stronger!" You Ruo said with a smile.

"Haha, Youruo, you have indeed made great progress!" Hua Qiangu praised. "However, we still have a long way to go and will face many more challenges."

"Yes, no matter what challenges we face, we're not afraid!" You Ru clenched her small fist, her eyes resolute.

After resting, the group continued their journey. Along the way, they shared their combat experiences and techniques, making the atmosphere much more relaxed.

"Sister Sha, your spell just now was so powerful! Can you teach me?" You Ruo asked Sha Qianmo curiously.

"Haha, little girl, you haven't learned it yet! Wait a few more years of training, and then I'll teach you," Sha Qianmo replied with a smile.

"Hmph, Sister Sha, don't underestimate me. I will try my best!" You Ruo said defiantly.

As they walked, a wide river appeared ahead, its waters swift and turbulent. A thin layer of mist hung over the river, obscuring the view of the opposite bank.

“This river is not easy to cross!” Dongfang Yuqing said with a frown.

"We need to think of a way to cross the river." Bai Zihua looked at the river and pondered how to cross it.

"How about we find some wood and make a raft?" Hua Qiangu suggested.

"That's a good idea. Let's split up and look for it," said Shuofeng.

The group split into several teams and searched the surrounding area for suitable wood. After some effort, they found enough wood and began building a raft.

"Everyone be careful, tie the logs tighter, this river isn't gentle," Ni Mantian reminded them.

With everyone's efforts, the raft was finally completed. They carefully pushed the raft into the river and then boarded it one by one.

"Hold on tight, let's go!" Hua Qiangu shouted.

The raft struggled to move forward in the swift river, the water constantly crashing against it and splashing high into the air.

"Ah, this river water is so cold!" You Ruo shivered.

"Hang in there, Youruo, we'll be on the other side soon!" Hua Qiangu comforted her.

Suddenly, a huge whirlpool appeared in the river, and the raft was pulled into it and began to spin violently.

"Oh no! Everyone hold on tight!" Sha Qianmo shouted.

The group clung tightly to the raft, struggling in the whirlpool.

"We have to find a way to get out of this vortex!" Bai Zihua shouted.

Hua Qiangu used magic to try to push the raft away from the whirlpool, but the whirlpool was too powerful.

Just when everyone was in danger, Ni Mantian discovered a spot at the edge of the whirlpool where the water flow was relatively weak.

"Everyone, row that way!" Ni Mantian shouted, and she and Shuofeng rowed in that direction with their wooden oars.

With everyone working together, they finally escaped the whirlpool. They continued paddling towards the other side, and after a perilous journey, they finally reached the other side.

"That was so close! I feel like this was more dangerous than any other time before!" Tang Bao said with lingering fear.

"Yes, but we've successfully weathered another crisis," Hua Qiangu said with a smile.

Once ashore, the group discovered that the scenery here was completely different from before. The trees were lush and green, the flowers were in full bloom, and the air was filled with a fresh floral fragrance.

"This place is so beautiful! I hope there's no danger here," You Ruo said happily.

"Don't let your guard down. Let's observe our surroundings first," Bai Zihua reminded him.

The group walked cautiously through this beautiful place, admiring the surrounding scenery. However, unbeknownst to them, this seemingly beautiful place also concealed untold dangers…

As they walked, they came upon an ancient temple ahead. The temple's architecture was simple and elegant, yet it exuded a sense of mystery. The temple's doors were tightly shut, and a light mist hung in the air, giving it an air of mystery and unpredictability.

"This temple looks quite old. Could there be some treasures inside?" You Ruo asked curiously.

"You Ruo, don't approach easily, there might be danger here," Hua Qiangu said.

"Hmph, so what if there's danger? What dangers haven't we seen along the way?" Sha Qianmo said dismissively, walking towards the temple.

"Sister Killer, be careful!" You Ruo shouted.

As Sha Qianmo walked to the temple gate, just as he was about to push it open, the runes on the gate suddenly flashed, and a powerful force bounced him back.

"Ah!" Sha Qianmo exclaimed and fell to the ground.

"Sister Sha, are you alright?" Hua Qiangu rushed over to help Sha Qianmo up.

"I'm fine, but there's something strange about this gate," Sha Qianmo said, frowning.

Dongfang Yuqing stepped forward and carefully examined the runes on the gate: "These runes are very ancient, and seem to be a kind of seal. We cannot act rashly."

"Then what do we do? How do we get in?" Shuofeng asked.

Just as everyone was pondering how to enter the temple, the surrounding fog suddenly thickened, and there seemed to be figures moving within the fog.

"Everyone be careful, something's coming!" Bai Zihua shouted, and everyone immediately became alert, forming a circle back to back.

Through the mist, several figures gradually came into focus; they were a group of ghosts dressed in ancient attire. The ghosts had empty eyes and exuded a sinister aura as they drifted towards the group.

"These ghosts look tough to deal with!" Ni Mantian gripped her weapon tighter.

"Don't panic, everyone. Ghosts usually have weaknesses. Let's take a look at their attack methods first," Bai Zihua said.

As the ghosts approached the group, they suddenly attacked, stretching out their long arms to grab them. The group quickly used spells and weapons to defend themselves.

"These ghosts' bodies are illusory; ordinary attacks are useless against them!" Hua Qiangu shouted as she discovered that her sword had passed through the ghosts' bodies without causing them any damage.

"Hmph, then try my magic!" Sha Qianmo cast a spell specifically designed to deal with souls, attacking the ghost. After the spell struck the ghost, it let out a shrill scream, but did not disappear.

"It seems this spell can only cause some damage to them, not destroy them," Sha Qianmo said, frowning.

“We need to find their weaknesses, which may be related to this temple,” Dongfang Yuqing said.

While fending off the ghosts' attacks, the group observed their surroundings and the ghosts' movements. Suddenly, Hua Qiangu noticed that the ghosts hesitated when they approached the runes on the temple gate.

"Look, the ghost seems afraid of the runes on the door!" Hua Qiangu exclaimed.

"Could the runes be their weakness?" You Ruo asked.

“Let’s try using the power of runes to deal with them!” Bai Zihua said.

The group joined forces to cast a spell, channeling the power of the runes on the gate into their weapons and spells, and then attacked the ghosts. This time, the ghosts vanished under the power of the runes.
