HP: The Root of Everything - The Magician

Chapter 37 Magnificent Magic Circuit

The temperature produced and the temperature of being wrapped feel completely different.

That night, Teach Carr slept very soundly...very soundly.

Teach didn't wake up until the sun was high in the sky, around noon. Feeling refreshed, he threw off the covers and realized why the blanket was "so heavy." He saw Hermione lying on his chest, drooling, with a silly expression on her face.

Sleeping in is a child's natural habit, so Teach didn't wake Hermione. After gently moving Hermione's upper body aside, he wiped the sticky drool off her clothes and then left the small underground base.

After conducting a routine inspection of the defensive line, they began preparing breakfast on the ground.

First, they cut off a piece of tender meat from the giant monster in the nearby forest. Then, they stir-fried it with plenty of scallions, ginger, and garlic to remove the odor. But after taking a bite, Teach spat it out with a contorted expression: "[It's absolutely disgusting! The meat has a strong smell like a stinky sewer!]"

[It's also sour, bitter, and tough; this is not something a normal person could eat.]

Even if Teach himself could stomach the taste, he wouldn't give it to Hermione. So, having failed at cooking, Teach could only soak military-grade compressed biscuits in water and then eat them with canned meat.

When Teach finished cooking, Hermione came out timidly, wiping her mouth and blushing.

When she woke up and found drool on her face, she immediately thought that Mr. Teach must have been incredibly embarrassed after seeing her silly expression.

......

After having breakfast at noon, Teach took out the large tools he would use to dissect the forest monster and then began to teach Hermione about biology.

The process of skinning and dissecting the bones was the same as the dissection of the Ball Bird, but the observation of the flesh was different.

The first step was to observe the muscles of the giant monster in the mountains and forests.

Teach wanted to understand why these giant creatures possessed the immense strength recognized by wizards. For magical creatures, enormous size did not necessarily equate to equal immense strength.

Through anatomical observation and sectioning studies, Teach realized that although the muscles of these forest monsters were very well-developed, this was not the fundamental reason for their great strength.

In terms of muscle strength and density, forest trolls can easily lift weights twice their own body weight, but according to Kington Kitsch and the magic books that describe magical creatures, the maximum strength limit of forest trolls can lift weights of over ten tons, which is three to four times their own body weight.

Teach Carl attributed this illogical phenomenon to the magical powers inherent in this mountain monster, but this conclusion would be determined later.

Next, Teach used this to dissect the monster's muscles, joints, blood vessels, bones, trachea, internal organs, and, with the help of modern microscopic instruments, to separate its nerves.

Hermione looked at the bloody scene. Even though she had dissected small animals before, she felt a little nauseous. The more than three-meter-tall forest monster had been dismembered, and the pieces of flesh had been piled up into a small mountain. This small mountain was really disgusting in front of Hermione, who was only 1.6 meters tall.

Teach didn't comfort or care about Hermione's nausea, because such things were unavoidable in order to study magic that led to the source of truth in this magical world.

Hermione, who did not receive comfort from her teacher, knew that she was being a bit dramatic and sensitive. She knew that in the magic of knowledge, being a girl did not give her any special treatment.

Hermione took a deep breath, calmed her nausea, and watched with wide eyes as Teach examined the dismembered pieces of flesh, casually wiped his bloody hands, and began recording his observations in his notebook.

Just as Hermione said last night, with the giant monster's corpse intimidating them, no foolish magical creatures dared to cause trouble.

This allowed Teach's anatomical research to proceed smoothly.

After an unknown amount of time, Teach put down his tools and called to Hermione, "Hermione, come here... let me tell you something."

Teach picked up a piece of the forest monster's muscle and said, "This muscle is twenty times denser than human muscle and twenty-six times more resilient."

"Based on the analysis and understanding of this muscle, and by identifying its blood and flesh tissue arrangement and gene chain, we can use modern technology to create various types of research products... that is, biological research, or human research."

After listening, Hermione quickly added, "Teacher, in this regard, my unfinished 'Structure and Cell' analytical array is the best research tool, isn't it!"

"Hmm~, not bad, so later you can cut off a piece of muscle to prepare materials for your analysis and formation."

After that, Teach explained to Hermione the differences between the various parts of the forest troll's body and the advanced development that modern biological technology could achieve.

As they talked, Teach Carr understood why wizards hid the magical world and established strict laws to prohibit anyone from revealing its existence to Muggles in any way.

Leaving aside the serious consequences that revealing this would have on wizards, just the fact that these various magical creatures are captured and studied by modern humans will inevitably lead to the creation of superhuman beings with advanced technology.

Then, these superhumans will launch a devastating attack on the magical world, ruthlessly capturing and slaughtering wizards.

In the end, if there really is a 'god' in this world, Teach Carr has no doubt that these superhumans will challenge the gods.

This... it's so exciting just thinking about it!

Teach's lips curled into a grin involuntarily as he imagined himself, only snapping back to reality when Hermione called out to him.

Shaking his head, Teach Carl banished the chaotic imagery from his mind and continued explaining the forest monster.

After the explanation was finished and Hermione had sorted and put away the flesh and blood materials, Teach was about to proceed with the final step—mastering the Mighty Magic Circuit.

At this point, Teach cannot stop. Flesh and blood have freshness. The higher the freshness, the higher the success rate and quality of the magic circuit. This will prevent the life magic from being blocked or obstructed in the circuit when the magic is running.

A large bowl of essence blood extracted from a mountain monster, and a large bowl of Teach's own hot blood of equal amount.

Next, stir with mercury.

With Hermione's help as he lost too much blood, Teach used his hands as a brush to draw the vein patterns on the entire forest monster's body.

Finally, place the limbs and organs of the mountain monster on the array plate written in magic script.

Before completing the circuit array, Teach did not use the emerald, but instead activated the array directly with his life magic.

As the life magic continued to be released, the training array grew brighter and brighter, finally illuminating the area after a blinding burst of light...

A golden, one-centimeter-long 'Giant Strength Magic Circuit' has been completed.

Teach Carl drilled the new magic circuits into his body, and then... that long-lost, excruciating pain returned.

Despite having endured this excruciating pain 40 times, it seemed as if the pain did not develop any resistance, mentally or physically, continuing to torment those who desired 'He' in the slightest.

Teach's agonizing struggle between life and death terrified Hermione.

She knelt beside Teach, who was convulsing, tears streaming down her face, at her wit's end. She wanted to find a way to ease Teach's pain, but she couldn't.

All she can do now is wait... helplessly wait for Teach's suffering to end naturally.

At this moment, little Hermione felt an unusually strong surge of emotion; she didn't want to just wait.

So Hermione hugged Teach, who was struggling in pain, wanting to use her meager warmth to ease Teach's pain, wanting to feel, to bear, and to share this pain.

During the embrace, Teach was conscious but overwhelmed by intense pain and saw Hermione being tightly bound in his arms.

I heard Hermione scream as she cried out in pain from the tight constriction.
