HP: The Root of Everything - The Magician

When Griffin carried Hermione to the ground, it caused quite a stir.

The third-year wizards gathered in a circle, their eyes shining as they looked at the mythical griffin Griffin Hufflepuff, casting envious glances at Hermione riding on Griffin's back.

Unlike the young wizards, Rumen Hagrid stared blankly at the drastically changed Griffin, muttering absentmindedly, "Buckbeak, my Buckbeak..."

With Teach's explanation and persuasion, Hagrid could only silently watch the interaction between Griffin and Hermione, master and servant.

Hagrid's disappointment came and went quickly. After he came to terms with it, his mood changed drastically. He smiled infatuatedly and joined the young wizards around the Griffin, wanting to reach out and touch this wondrous creature from mythology.

But Griffin showed great disgust at Hagrid's large hand reaching out, tilting his head to avoid it, and then took Hermione to the side to eat the food Hagrid had prepared for Buckbeak.

Before long, Dumbledore arrived, accompanied by his phoenix, Fawkes.

Not only that, Professor Snape, Professor McGonagall, Professor Lupin, and all the other professors from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry came to the edge of the Forbidden Forest, to Hagrid's outdoor classroom.

Dumbledore craned his neck and tilted his head back, took off his reading glasses from the bridge of his nose, wiped them with his sleeve, and put them back on.

He wanted to be sure that the creature he saw through his reading glasses was real, alive, and within reach of him.

Snape's perpetually cold face furrowed deeply as he squinted, constantly assessing the accuracy of what he saw.

After watching for a while, he took out a bottle of potion and drank it, wanting to make sure he wasn't under some kind of illusion spell and was hallucinating. Then he used another bottle of potion to wipe his eyes.

Professor McGonagall was quite emotional. She was frightened when she saw the mythical griffin, but after calming down a bit, she quickly stood in front of the young wizards who were watching, afraid that the griffin, who did not know its temperament, would get angry because of the young wizards' commotion.

When Professor Lupin arrived at the scene, he stood aside, first looking at Griffin with surprise, then at Hermione on Griffin's back, and finally staring at the smiling Teach Carr.

He wanted to learn from Teach why the mythical griffin had appeared in this world, since everyone at Hogwarts knew that Hermione was Teach's apprentice.

After Headmaster Dumbledore learned the whole story from Hagrid, he ordered all the professors that all classes for today would be turned into self-study for the young wizards.

Including the third-year students surrounding Griffin, let Hagrid take them back to the castle.

Subsequently, Dumbledore, in his capacity as headmaster, summoned Teach Carr, Hermione Granger, and the professors to his office for a meeting.

Griffin wanted to go with Hermione, but was dissuaded by his young master.

In the office, the professors sat in order, with Teach and Hermione in the middle, making the scene resemble a court trial.

Dumbledore frowned, and after a long while, he began a discussion with the professors.

The meeting, led by Griffin, lasted for a long time.

After consulting with Hermione and arguing with Hermione's teacher, Teach Carl, the three-hour meeting finally came to an end.

Dumbledore then said to Hermione, "Miss Granger, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry warmly welcomes your friend, Griffin Hufflepuff."

"As long as you remain a student of Hogwarts, Hogwarts will fully protect your and Griffin's safety."

"At the same time, all of Hogwarts' libraries, both the general and restricted sections, will be fully open to you."

"Not only that, all the professors at Hogwarts will teach you any magical knowledge you wish to learn, if you want."

Hermione remained unfazed by Dumbledore's conditions and instead asked, "Headmaster, what are your conditions for being willing to pay such a price?"

Dumbledore smiled kindly, then slowly said, "Miss Granger, Headmaster, I have only one request: that Griffin reside at Hogwarts while you are at the school."

"This old man has no other purpose than to use Griffin. I just want to use the ancient mythological magic in Griffin to strengthen the castle magic of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry."

Magic Castle Academy is not comparable to ordinary schools in the real world.

Every brick and tile of the magic castle contains profound magic, which sustains everything within the castle and has allowed it to stand for thousands of years.

After Headmaster Dumbledore finished speaking, Snape stood up and tried to raise the corners of his mouth in front of Hermione, trying to make his expression look more friendly.

But little did he know that his carefully crafted friendly expression almost ruined the tense atmosphere in the office.

The professors were desperately trying to suppress their laughter, but they couldn't help but chuckle.

Snape then said in an unusually amiable tone, "Miss Granger, we professors are willing to exchange our life's magical knowledge for some of the materials on Griffin's body to conduct our respective magical academic research."

"Of course, the materials we need won't harm Griffin."

"We professors will report the materials to you, and you have full authority to screen them."

"If Griffin ultimately disagrees, we will not hold you, Miss Granger, accountable."

After hearing all the demands, Hermione looked at her teacher, Teach, who was standing beside her, hoping to get the right choice from her.

But Teach shook his head and said, "My foolish disciple, you should make your own judgment on this matter."

"Use your clever little brain to think about what the appearance of the griffin Griffin Hufflepuff means for the entire magical world."

"What does it affect?"

What consequences will this have?

"What kind of danger will this bring to Griffin and you, his young master?"

After thinking for a long time, Hermione spoke to Headmaster Dumbledore, "Headmaster, as Griffin's master, I agree to your proposal."

“As long as I am at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Griffin will not fly away from here.”

Hermione then turned to the professors present and nodded, saying, "I agree with you professors' request to exchange knowledge for the materials from Griffin."

"But I solemnly declare that although Griffin is my familiar, he is essentially my friend."

“I will not force Griffin to give up its magical materials unless it is willing to do so, and you cannot force it in any way or by any means.”

After the meeting ended, Snape's comical and strange smile returned to normal.

He then turned to Dumbledore, the headmaster, and asked, "Should we cast a Forgetfulness Charm on the third-year students, those young wizards who are taught by Professor Haig?"

"I think it's best to keep Griffin's existence strictly a secret from the magical world."

After hearing this, the professors unanimously agreed with Snape's proposal.

But Dumbledore waved his hand and said, "Severus, you're being far too tense with the Griffin. You should know... the Griffin is a mythical creature."

"The era in which they lived was an era in which many gods walked in this world~".
