HP: The Root of Everything - The Magician

Chapter 11 The Aurors' Encirclement

The day the incident occurred at the monastery.

Teach Carr, far away in the Dark Forbidden Forest of the magical world, suddenly felt a sharp pain in his heart, almost causing the last material ball bird in his trap to escape.

After retrieving the drowned ball bird, Teach touched his chest and inexplicably thought of his mother, Maggie.

[From completing the debt collection mission in London to now breaking into the magical world and mastering magic circuits, it's been about a month. I'm just one centimeter away from completing a full circuit. After that, I'll go home and visit my family,] Teach thought to himself.

After practicing the formation skillfully, place the dissected Bird of the Ball on the formation plate.

The final centimeter of the golden return path has been completed.

Subsequently, after enduring 40 excruciating pains, a complete 40-centimeter-long magic circuit finally formed on Teach Carl's back.

In the instant it was formed, Teach felt a force wanting to be released coursing through his body, wanting to burst out, but since it could not find an outlet, this force could only return to the magic circuit and be stored there.

The magic book explains this situation.

Once a magic circuit is completed, it requires the blessing of a training array to unleash the magic power transformed from one's own life force.

Therefore, following the meridian pathways of the Ball Bird, Teach inscribed a 'Flash Magic Circle' on the back of his left hand.

Once completed, it will naturally need to be verified.

Teach had been eagerly anticipating it for a long time.

After communicating with the magic circuit on his back through his senses, the circuit released the life magic that Teach had stored up over the past two weeks. As the magic passed through the magic circle on the back of his hand, a mysterious and magical force enveloped Teach.

Then, in the next second, within a ten-meter radius, Teach teleported away, releasing the Flash magic.

This teleportation sensation is completely unlike the shrinking, spinning, and dizzying effects of Apparition in Wizarding World. Instead, it's like standing still and the scene changes instantly, as if you've appeared elsewhere the moment you open and close your eyes—it's truly magical.

Tichy Carr stroked the magic circle on his arm, clearly delighted with it.

Overwhelmed with joy, Teach began packing his things in the underground base, planning to go home to see his mother, Maggie, today.

Teach hummed a cheerful tune as he left the underground cave after loading his luggage.

But the very next second of his joy, a fireball was launched at him from a distance. This sudden turn of events prompted Teach to quickly use his Blink Circuit to dodge.

The fireball missed its target and exploded in the ground, creating a crater nearly five meters deep.

Without giving the Auror wizard time to be surprised that his spell had failed, Teach immediately drew his pistol and fired after safely teleporting away.

At this moment, Teach Carr had no idea what was happening or why he was suddenly attacked by wizards. [Did they discover that I, a Muggle who had intruded into the magical world, was being targeted for extermination?]

It's just speculation, and Teach won't delve into why. All the answers will be revealed after the battle.

The bullet was fired, and the well-trained Auror wizard, targeted by Teach, quickly deployed two layers of defensive spells, just like Nicole. However, the result was the same; the power of the pistol failed to penetrate the wizard's defensive spells at all.

Teach's first attack failed, and he immediately realized that the pistol was not powerful enough, so he leaned against the giant tree and took out a large-caliber rifle.

Just as he raised his gun to fire, three explosive fireballs shot in from all directions, surrounding Teach.

The three wizards stood not far away, watching the fireball rapidly approach Teach Carl, their minds already conjuring images of their target's death.

But reality is often contrary to expectations; after the explosion, the crater was completely empty.

"What happened? It missed, that can't be..." Just as an Auror wizard was wondering, Teach appeared from a teleportation, grabbed a fully automatic rifle, and began to unleash a barrage of fire at him.

All the bullets hit the defensive spell, but despite the barrage of bullets, the spell remained unbroken.

Seeing this, Teach seized the moment when the wizard was incredulous and surprised, and used the teleportation magic again. This time, the teleportation brought Teach behind the wizard.

The situation reversed instantly. Teach didn't give the Auror wizard time to turn around and cast a spell. He pulled out the grappling hook dagger that he always kept hidden behind his waist and slashed at the other wizards before they could even raise their wands.

In an instant, hot blood gushed from the back of the wizard's neck.

The three Auror wizards were horrified. They had never imagined that a lowly Muggle could kill them. Moreover, this Muggle could use a teleportation technique similar to their Apparition.

Amid the deaths of his fellow wizards, an Auror was the first to realize the gravity of the situation and unleashed a barrage of spells upon Teach Carr: "A Muggle who can so easily kill their wizards must not be allowed to live."

Amidst the barrage of spells, the two wizards belatedly realized what was happening and joined in the relentless attack on Teach.

One of the wizards even used the 'Avadasor Curse,' an unforgivable dark magic that kills upon contact.

Unfortunately, they couldn't hit Teach at all, who had the ability to teleport.

As Teach repeatedly used teleportation magic to evade the spells of the three Auror wizards, the life magic stored in his magic circuits was about to run out.

If he continued to use it beyond its capacity, it would deplete Teach's own life force. But in this life-or-death crisis, Teach couldn't afford to conserve energy.

As his life force was drained by the magic circuits, Teach once again felt the pain of his flesh being torn apart and devoured, but thankfully, this pain was not as intense as when the magic circuits entered his body.

The three Auror wizards already knew that Teach Carr possessed the ability to teleport, so they naturally wouldn't stand still and foolishly allow Teach to get close and kill them. Therefore, while casting spells to pursue him, they used Apparition in conjunction with Apparition, constantly engaging and fighting Teach who was teleporting around.

In a flash, Teach pulled the trigger on his pistol with both hands.

With a phantom-shifting movement, the Auror wizard perfectly dodged the incoming deadly bullet.

And so, in this battle of chasing and fleeing, retreating and attacking, neither could gain the upper hand.

But this stalemate was only temporary, and Teach Carl understood this perfectly well. He was about to reach the maximum limit of his life force extraction, and if he didn't stop, his life would be in danger.

In contrast, the Auror wizard showed no signs of fatigue, and his magic power showed no signs of running out.

Only then did Teach Carr recall the wizards' behavior in the Harry Potter movies of his previous life. They... they seemed to have no problem with running out of magic, as if they had an inexhaustible supply of magic.

[What is this? Is it some kind of magic like the Third Law perpetual motion machine?] Teach thought to himself, panting heavily from the pain in his body.

But to verify this, Teach would need to dissect some wizards for research.

But now that the situation has become clear, it is not the time to consider such things, because after a brief pause in the battle, the three Auror wizards once again raised their wands at Teach Carl.

What should I do? I can't defeat these three wizards who have endless magic!

[There's an illusion that allows me to teleport; I can't escape even if I want to.]

With no other option, Teach had no choice but to risk his life to accompany him.

So, after flashing out of the encirclement, Teach ran into the depths of the swamp.

[There are two giant anacondas in the swamp. May A-men bless me and Ma Qi bless me. I hope luck will be on my side so that I can take advantage of the anacondas' interference and achieve a counterattack.]

Now that he has the Blink spell, Teach's fear of the Magical Anaconda is not as intense as it was at the beginning.
