Imprisoning the Black Moonlight
Chapter 41: Find and kill him by any means necessary!
Pursat City in Japan is a small city brimming with the country's glory. Its seemingly ordinary traditional buildings contain a wealth of secrets.
The reason for coming to the agricultural development conference was just an excuse the father made. The son was being stubborn, and the father couldn't bring himself to do it, but six months of his son's stubbornness was the greatest patience he could give his eldest son.
Inside the white Khmer-style building, Mrs. Vanila looked helplessly at her brother, who was silently sipping his tea, and shook her head with a wry smile. "Why are you getting angry with a child like Ah-jin? What kind of father holds a grudge against his child!"
"Is he a child? He's half the backbone of the Hong family. What a despicable thing he did! He released Hagnu in front of so many important officials, and then killed him in Myanmar in less than half a month. It's utterly lawless!" Hong Sang Neng slammed down his teacup in anger.
“In my opinion, it’s not necessarily Ah Jin who did it. Our Ah Jin is a gentleman, how could he go and kill someone!” Mrs. Vanila said calmly, her bouquet of flowers tucked into her hands.
Hong Sang glanced at his sister, picked up his teacup and took another sip. "I know my own son's character best!"
At that moment, a servant came in to report: "Madam, Prime Minister, Young Master Jin has arrived!"
Hong Jin, tall and slender, as upright as a pine tree, dressed in a black business casual suit, walked in, clasped his hands together and lightly touched his forehead, and respectfully greeted, "Father, Aunt!"
Hong Sangneng narrowed his wolf-like eyes and remained silent, while Vanila put down the flower basket in her hand and waved, "Ajin, come here to your aunt! Our Ajin looks handsome again!"
Hong Jin glanced at his father's expression, gave his aunt a look, and then sat down opposite the two of them. "I brought some fish from Doukou Mountain for Father and Aunt to try!"
"Was this fish caught by the Burmese Allied Army with their guns?" Hong Sang Neng asked with a stern face, unmoved by any external influence.
"Father is joking. Fish are not as valuable as bullets!" The eldest son was neither humble nor arrogant, but his arrogance was fearless.
Hong Sang sneered, "Young Master, have you grown wings?"
“Father, what are you saying? Everything I have is given to me by the family and by you. Without your approval, I would have nothing!” Hong Jin said respectfully, but there was no trace of humility on his face.
Hong Sangneng looked at his eldest son, who had surpassed him in ability, his temples throbbing. "Did I give you permission to kill Hagnu?"
"Haghnu must die!" On matters of principle, the eldest son was unyielding, staring directly into his father's wolfish eyes. "I only promised Father that Haghnu would not die at the hands of the Hong family, I promised nothing else!"
"So you think you can find someone to kill him in Myanmar? Do you know the consequences of this?" Hong Sang was able to reprimand his son sternly. Having held a high position for many years, the imposing aura of a superior spread throughout the living room.
“I have personally sent an email to the Myanmar side and contacted the embassy in Myanmar. Prince Haghnu’s ashes will be brought back for burial with state honors soon. At that time, a high-ranking monk will be invited to perform a ritual. The world will only praise my father’s noble character, and no one will be able to criticize the Hong family!”
The eldest son answered calmly and handled the situation flawlessly. The father picked up the teacup on the table, drank it all in one gulp, and said, "Then, thank you for your hard work, young master!"
Hong Jin knew his father was angry, so he picked up the kettle and filled his father's cup with water. "Father, Hagnu can die in glory, but he can't live like a stray dog! One day, when he gains power, he won't let you and me off the hook either!"
The matter was settled, and further words were pointless. Hong Sangneng closed his eyes, then opened them after a long while, speaking earnestly, "Ajin, you're too reckless! This might not be a good thing!"
The Prime Minister is extremely busy, and it's already a feat that he could find time to have lunch at his sister's place. As he was leaving, he looked at his son with complex emotions in his eyes, "Once you've caught enough fish, go back to Phnom Penh as soon as possible. Your grandfather has been talking about it!"
After his father left, Hong Jin was preoccupied with his own thoughts. He sat down next to his aunt, but hesitated to speak.
"What's wrong, Ajin? Just say what's on your mind. You're just like your father, you never come here unless there's something wrong!" Mrs. Vanila gracefully stroked the snow-white fur of the Persian cat in her arms and asked with a faint smile.
“Aunt, is Hagenu really as useless as we see him?” Hong Jin finally asked.
He didn't know much about the relationship between Hagnu and his aunt. He only knew that Hagnu was obsessed with his aunt back then, but at that time, the country was engulfed in war, and the People's Army led by his grandfather was besieged and on the verge of being annihilated.
In order to borrow troops from the Yue Kingdom, the father asked the old King of Thailand to mediate. In the end, he had no choice but to send his aunt, who was only nineteen years old, into the Thai royal palace.
When Hagnu found out, in order to get revenge on his father, he took away the woman named Baina, who was also the only woman his father had ever loved in his life.
"Ah Jin!" Vanila's smile faded slightly as she looked at her shrewd and upright nephew and sighed, "How could someone who could cause your grandfather and father to suffer losses time and time again in the arena of power be an ordinary person!"
A word to wake up the dreamer!
Hong Jin felt as if he had been struck on the head, a chill running from his head to the soles of his feet. His wolf-like eyes were filled with unrestrained killing intent, and his whole body emanated a strong murderous aura. He looked at the elegant woman opposite him and said, "Aunt, are you saying that Hagnu deliberately made me kill him?"
"If he's certain of victory, he's capable of starting with his life on the line!"
"Hmph!" Hong Jin sneered, "Don't worry, Aunt, he won't win whether he's alive or dead!" The arrogant nephew was incredibly cocky.
“Ah Jin! Hagenu, his cunning and scheming are no less than your father’s. You still have to be careful. Our Hong family can win a hundred times, but we cannot lose even once!” The elegant lady’s brows were filled with deep sorrow.
The entire Hong family felt a natural sense of guilt towards this woman who had dedicated her life to the family. "Aunt, don't worry, as long as A-Jin is here, no one in the Mekong River basin can harm the Hong family!"
"Good child!" Mrs. Vanila looked lovingly at her almost perfect eldest son, whom the family had raised, tears welling up in her eyes. "Auntie is not afraid. As long as the Hong family is well and you children are well, Auntie is at ease!"
After the old King of Thailand passed away, my aunt, as the most favored concubine, was targeted by those people and was driven out of the palace. After her family took her back, in order to avoid the family being criticized, she settled here in a low-key manner and lived a secluded life. Hong Jin respected this aunt from the bottom of his heart.
After having dinner with his aunt, Hong Jin couldn't stay any longer; he had too many things to take care of. He quickly said goodbye and called Wu Meng as soon as he got in his car.
"Hey! Meng!" He was preoccupied, and even his tone was unusually sharp. "Have you found out who the last person Hagnu saw that you mentioned last time?"
"No!" Wu Meng said, sounding a little annoyed. "They've just vanished into thin air!"
Hong Jin sensed his good friend's bad mood and frowned, asking, "What's wrong?"
"It's nothing! My wife is always causing trouble, she's so damn annoying!"
"Hmph!" The man smirked. "I thought it was something serious. I never imagined that one day, you, Young Master Wu, would be troubled by a woman!" The gloating man lit a cigarette and continued, "Who told you to go to the underground sex market for entertainment and bring back a 'grandmother' for yourself!"
"I'm willing! Whether it's important or not, I'm hanging up!" Wu Meng had already lost all patience.
"Find that person by any means necessary, and assassinate him!" The man abandoned his casual conversation, his dark eyes turning cold, and a murderous aura spreading through him.
"understood!"
Just as he hung up the phone, the butler called, sobbing uncontrollably, "Sir, sir, the young mistress is missing!"
