Black Market Boss: His Beloved Wife's Lazy Life

Chapter 157 Old Gao Comes to the Door

Her son is a lazy and good-for-nothing person.

"You, you, you..." Liu Dahua was so angry that she lost her mind.

"What do you mean, 'what do you mean, 'what do you mean'? My son-in-law is great, much better than your pig-like son." Shang's mother's fighting spirit in the countryside is unmatched by any other old lady.

"You just wait," Liu Dahua said threateningly before fleeing away.

"Here I am." As soon as Shang's mother finished speaking, he noticed that Liu Dahua's running posture was not quite right.

"Sister Shang, who is your son-in-law? Why did he come in a car?" An older woman who was on good terms with Shang's mother asked.

“My son-in-law is just an ordinary person. He grew up in the village and developed his physical strength by climbing trees to pick peaches.”

"Alright, alright. Everyone, hurry back! The car is about to leave." Mrs. Shang said, taking the last bag of rice and heading home.

He even closed the door behind him.

"Jianguo, why did you bring so much stuff back?" Shang's mother had a headache just looking at the mess on the ground.

“Mom, those were all given to Grandpa by others. Grandpa said there were too many and he couldn’t finish them, so he asked me to take them back.”

Gao Jianguo held the babies in his arms. He hadn't seen them for a long time, and he missed them terribly.

"Oh, then keep it for now, and take the cured meat we brought from our hometown over in a few days." Mrs. Shang thought of the status of Old Master Gao.

Plus, having just returned to Beijing and being visited by people, I reckon there's really more food than they can eat.

"Okay, Mom, you and Dad, we'll all eat these. Don't let them expire." Back then, almost nothing had preservatives added.

Therefore, the shelf life is not that long.

"Eat, eat it all." Mrs. Shang took a bag of milk powder and started preparing it.

"Nannan, Jianguo. These milk powders are for the children." Shang Yanfang looked at the milk powder that had formed a layer of milk skin.

It feels very healthy, much healthier than those products on her social media that contain additives.

"Let me taste it to see if it's hot," Gao Jianguo said, picking up the milk in front of him.

"Daddy!" Little Xuan'er called out, patting Gao Jianguo's leg as she watched her grandma being drunk by her dad.

"Hey," Gao Jianguo excitedly put the milk powder back on the table.

He picked up the little one in his arms and agreed.

Gao Zixuan saw that her father was no longer drinking milk and looked longingly at the milk that her grandmother had placed on the table.

"Xuan'er, my daughter. Call me 'Daddy' again." Gao Jianguo taught her, turning his little daughter's face to face with him.

"Ah, ah!" the little brat protested.

"Call Dad."

"Ah ah ah."

"Call Dad."

"Ah ah ah."

"Slap." Xiao Xuan'er was annoyed by her father and slapped him across the face.

Gao Jianguo immediately stopped coaxing her and looked at his daughter with a wronged expression.

"Wife, she won't call me Dad, and she even hit me." Gao Jianguo put the little boy on the sofa and looked at Shang Yanfang for comfort.

"Good boy, I'll teach her a lesson for you." Shang Yanfang patted Gao Jianguo on the shoulder and picked up the bowl of milk powder she had just made.

"Xuan'er, call me Daddy, and I'll let you drink milk." Shang Yanfang had just posted that her eldest daughter was a complete foodie.

The little guy's eyes were fixed on the bowl of milk powder, and he blurted out, "Call me Daddy."

Gao Jianguo looked on in amazement.

“Don’t call him ‘son,’ call him ‘daddy.’” Shang Yanfang is still very patient.

"Call me Daddy." The little brat stared intently at the milk powder in front of him.

"Teach it yourself!" Shang Yanfang sighed and returned the bowl and milk powder to Gao Jianguo.

Gao Jianguo, holding the milk powder, regained his energy, picking up the baby in one hand and holding the bowl in the other.

“Come here, daughter, Daddy.”

"Dad." This time, little Gao Zixuan called the right person.

Gao Jianguo happily began breastfeeding.

The next day, early in the morning, Old Master Gao arrived at the Shang family home with Guard Zhang.

As soon as Gao Jianguo left yesterday, Old Master Gao ordered someone to buy: a bicycle, a radio, a watch, and a sewing machine.

I also bought some cloth and candy. I came to the Shang family's house today.

This time, it was Shang's father who opened the door for Old Master Gao.

"Uncle, who are you?" Shang's father was bewildered by the bustling crowd and the imposing old man early in the morning.

"Hello, in-laws, I am Gao Jianguo's grandfather. I've come to make up for the betrothal gifts for the girl. We couldn't do it before because we were in the countryside, but now that we're back, we have to make up for it."

Old Master Gao said these words while standing at the main gate, and all the people who had come to watch heard them.

Everyone's praising the Shang family's youngest daughter for marrying so well.

"Grandpa, please come in, please come inside." Seeing the Gao family's attitude, Shang's father felt relieved and quickly invited them inside.

"Xiao Zhang, distribute the wedding candies." Old Master Gao didn't forget to remind his bodyguard.

"Yes, sir." Xiao Zhang's words caused another commotion in the crowd.

"This is the leader. The Shang family is in deep trouble this time."

Grandpa Gao nodded in satisfaction. Yesterday, Xiao Zhang told him what those people had said, and he came today to support his grandson.

"Father-in-law, grandfather, come, have some tea." Mr. Shang brewed a cup of tea and brought it over.

"Hmm, not bad." Old Master Gao gave a sip of his drink as a gesture of respect and praised the product.

"Grandpa, what brings you here?" Shang Yanfang, holding her child, came out of the house and was very surprised to see Grandpa Gao.

"I've come to see my great-grandchildren. Come, let me hold them." Shang Yanfang handed the child in her arms to Grandpa Gao.

"Grandpa, wait a moment, I'll go wash up first."

After Shang Yanfang finished speaking, she went back to her room and told Gao Jianguo, who was still changing the children's diapers, that Grandpa had arrived.

"So what if they're here? They must be here to see the kids." Gao Jianguo didn't stop what he was doing.

"Aren't you going out to take a look?" Shang Yanfang asked the man.

"Look," Gao Jianguo handed his little daughter to Shang Yanfang, then carried his eldest son out of the house.

"Grandpa, Dad. Good morning." The tone was so natural and fluent.

"Jianguo, give me the children. You all go eat!" Old Master Gao just loved looking at the chubby little children.

"Grandpa, come and have some too." The breakfast that Shang's mother made today was exceptionally lavish.

"I've already eaten before I came, you all go and eat! I'll watch the children." Grandpa Gao looked at his great-grandchildren with great joy.

"Mom, you eat first. Grandpa and I will take care of the child."

“Okay, Grandpa, I’m going to eat first. I have to go to work later.” Shang’s father agreed with Gao Jianguo’s suggestion.

Everyone went to eat, and Gao Jianguo brought over three bottles of milk to feed the children.

"Grandpa, here, you feed one, I'll feed two." Grandpa Gao took the bottle and started feeding the little one.
