"Mom, we're having meat tonight!" Su Yuanyuan ran home, closed the door, and shouted to the kitchen.

Moon Maiden immediately ran out and saw the rabbit in her hand, her face full of worry.

"You brat, how many times have I told you not to go up the mountain by yourself? Wait for your father to come back, and we can eat meat tomorrow. You can't even wait one night? You're going to drive me crazy."

Su Yuanyuan hugged her arm, twisting and turning her body, her face full of flattery, "Oh! Mom, I didn't go inside, I'm right here, please help me cook the rabbit, I just want to eat meat!"

Moon Maiden pushed her away with disgust, "Get up quickly, you've covered me in dirt, you don't look like a girl at all. Go wash up and change your clothes, I'll make you some in a bit."

"Mom is the best, I love you!" Su Yuanyuan hugged her and kissed her, then ran to fetch water to wash her hands.

"All you ever do is write such mushy things." Moon Lady complained, but a smile remained on her face as she picked up the rabbit and began to skin it.

"Mom, did Dad say when he'll be back for dinner?" After washing her face and changing her clothes, Su Yuanyuan was once again a fair-skinned and beautiful young woman. She stood to the side watching her mother cook.

“Your father isn’t coming back to eat, so I’ve already served him some. Once it’s done and warmed up, take those out first.”

As Yue Niang spoke, her hands never stopped moving, quickly preparing a dish and serving it out.

"Okay," Su Yuanyuan replied, picking up the stir-fried dishes and heading out.

By the time she had taken everything out, her mother had already cleaned up the kitchen and kept her father's food warm on the stove. Su Yuanyuan exclaimed in admiration how efficient her mother was.

"Mom, come and eat." Su Yuanyuan summoned the spinning wheel, pressed it casually, and then ignored it, urging her mother to eat quickly.

Now, participating in the lottery has become a daily routine for her. She clicks on it whenever she has a spare moment, and then checks the rewards later when she has more time.

Su Yuanyuan was also impressed with her own luck. After so long, she hadn't drawn anything normal; the only thing she could use was food.

She has given up struggling. She still participates in the lottery every day, but she has no expectations for the prizes at all. She feels like she has a pile of garbage in her space now.

"Mom, your cooking is so delicious." Su Yuanyuan picked up a piece of rabbit meat and put it in her mouth. She finished it in a few bites and didn't forget to praise the chef.

"Then eat more, there's still so much left." Yue Niang smiled and put another piece on her plate, clearly pleased with her praise.

"Mother, I'd like to go up the mountain again tomorrow," Su Yuanyuan said to her mother while eating.

"Why go up there when you've already eaten the meat? Besides, your father will bring more meat back tonight, enough for you to eat for a few days."

Moon Maiden put down her bowl and frowned slightly. The mountain is so dangerous. Is it a place a young girl can go?

"I picked some mushrooms today, and I was planning to go back tomorrow to see if there were any more. I was in a hurry to get back today, so I didn't look around."

Su Yuanyuan didn't even look up, answering her mother's questions between bites of rice.

She dared not look up, for fear of meeting her mother's eyes. Her mother had forbidden her from going up the mountain since she was little, and she always went secretly, getting scolded a lot.

"Let your dad go. You go to your grandma's tomorrow and bring them some meat. Don't run around."

After Yue Niang finished speaking, she picked up the bowl, looked at Su Yuanyuan who dared not look up, and couldn't help but laugh out loud.

"What, do you think I'd eat you? Look at you, hurry up and eat."

Su Yuanyuan secretly pursed her lips. She would sneak up the mountain after delivering the meat tomorrow, and if she moved quickly, no one would notice.

"If you dare to sneak up the mountain tomorrow, I'll punish you by making you embroider a screen."

As Su Yuanyuan was thinking, she heard her mother casually say something, and she looked up at her mother in disbelief.

"Mother, how could you say such cruel things?"

"I can do even crueler things, do you want to try?" Yue Niang glanced at her coolly.

Su Yuanyuan silently shut her mouth and lowered her head to eat. She couldn't afford to offend them!

After finishing the meal, Su Yuanyuan helped tidy up the table and stood at the door looking around, but her father was still nowhere to be seen.

She glanced at what she had drawn; it was a skill. After carefully reading the description, she learned that it allowed her to locate the trash can through telepathy.

Ah!

Su Yuanyuan sneered and casually tossed it into her spatial storage, knowing it wouldn't be anything good.

Under what circumstances would she need to rely on telepathy to locate the trash can?

After waiting for a while, the sun had already set, but his father still hadn't returned.

"Mom, when will Dad come home?" Su Yuanyuan ran into the house to ask her mother when no one came.

"Don't wait anymore. Your dad won't be back until late at night. You should go to sleep first. I'll leave the door open for him." Her mother said without stopping her work.

"Mother, don't work tonight, take a rest." Su Yuanyuan went over and pulled her mother, stuffing the purse she was embroidering into the basket and tossing it aside.

Yue Niang looked at her careless manner with heartache, raised her hand and gently patted her, "You naughty girl, be gentle, don't break it, it's something to exchange for money."

Su Yuanyuan stuck out her tongue and pushed her into the inner room. "Mother, you should rest. I'm going back to sleep too. Don't do any more work tonight!"

She put her hands on her hips and gave the same instructions again, sounding fierce but actually quite weak.

"I know, I know, go to sleep now, I won't embroider anymore, okay?" Her mother waved her hand with amusement, urging her to go to sleep quickly.

The little kid was even trying to tell her what to do, but she knew it was because the girl cared about her, so she just went along with it.

Su Yuanyuan lay in bed, her mind preoccupied with the thought that she wouldn't be able to pick mushrooms tomorrow. She sighed, turned over, and closed her eyes.

While she was half asleep, Su Yuanyuan heard the sound of the door opening outside. She guessed that her father had returned, and then things quieted down.

She was awakened by her father's hearty laughter. Su Yuanyuan sat on the bed in a daze for a while before getting up and getting dressed.

"Dad, what's making you so happy so early in the morning?" Su Yuanyuan said as she walked out the door and saw her parents quickly separating. The blush on her mother's face hadn't faded yet.

Su Yuanyuan stared blankly, her eyes lifeless. "Well, no need to ask anymore," she thought. "Looks like she came out at the wrong time."

She clicked her tongue and glanced between the two of them before her mother slapped her on the back of the head.

"What are you doing? Get up and go wash your face. I'll bring your grandma some meat after dinner."

"Ouch~~ That hurts!" Su Yuanyuan cried out in pain when she was caught off guard and slapped.

"Father, look at Mother!"

Su Jiye shrugged, indicating that he couldn't help her; his wife was the one who made the decisions at home.

Seeing that she was still causing trouble, Yue Niang immediately looked over, as if to say that if she didn't leave, she would slap her again.

Su Yuanyuan shut up sullenly and ran off to fetch water.

After she left, Su Jiye immediately fawned over Yue Niang and whispered something to her. Yue Niang ignored him, so he followed her to the kitchen.

Su Yuanyuan caught a glimpse of this scene out of the corner of her eye and rolled her eyes in disdain. It must be that her father had offended her mother. She shouldn't have come out in the morning. She was definitely being blamed for the incident.
