Su Yuanyuan waved her hand, telling him to hurry up and leave. There was no need for help with such a small amount of stuff; she wasn't going to be working all day anyway.

They were gone for a while, and Su Yuanyuan closed the shop and waited for a while before Naruto ran back, covered in sweat.

"Why did you run so fast? You're all sweaty now." Su Yuanyuan had already gotten used to Naruto's loud and boisterous manner.

"Sister, we're taking the Chunin Exams tomorrow morning, and I'm determined to become a Chunin."

Naruto tilted his head back and let her wipe his sweat, a confident smile on his face. Su Yuanyuan believed him; how could someone she had taught not even pass the Chunin Exams?

Later, Kakashi saw her once and told her what children should learn first, so she had to teach her from scratch.

Naruto's foundation is much more solid than others, except for the control of chakra, which he has to work on himself because of the Nine-Tails inside his body.

"If it's an exam... I remember I wouldn't be able to go home for several days."

Su Yuanyuan searched through her memories but found no information about the Chunin Exams. She only knew that Kakashi and the others had disappeared for a few days and returned as Chunin.

"Naruto, just do your best. Your own safety is the most important thing, you know?"

Naruto scratched his head, looking helpless. His sister always thought he was still a child, but he also liked being cared for by his sister.

"I know, sister."

Naruto left again less than two days after returning. Su Yuanyuan heard from a guest that she could attend the final match.

So Su Yuanyuan has postponed her closing time for the past two days. She will close the shop on the day of the official competition.

"Boss, bring me some of your signature dishes, and a pot of wine if you have any."

Su Yuanyuan was cooking in the back when she heard the voice and looked out the window.

He had long white hair and wore a headband with the character "oil" written on it. Su Yuanyuan recognized him; he was Uncle Shuimen's teacher.

She had only met him a few times, but he left a deep impression on Su Yuanyuan. His usual demeanor made it impossible for him to be called one of the Three Ninjas.

Quietly retreating back into the kitchen, Su Yuanyuan didn't want to attract his attention at all.

"Mai, take this meal out and remember to get that uncle a pot of sake."

After finally managing to close, Su Yuanyuan rubbed her aching arms. It seemed she couldn't stay open for too long; her arms were practically breaking.

I might as well take another day off. That's the good thing about having your own shop; you can go to work whenever you want.

"Mai, you don't need to come tomorrow. Let's rest for a few days and resume after the Chunin Exams."

"Sister Xiaofeng, you're trying to slack off again."

Mai looked helplessly at her boss. She had never seen such a willful person who would refuse to open the shop.

Su Yuanyuan coughed lightly, feeling guilty. "I have to go watch Naruto's exam, so I don't have time to drive. You definitely can't manage by yourself, so let's just rest together."

"Okay, okay! I understand."

Mai sighed, locked the shop door, said goodbye to her, and turned to go home.

Su Yuanyuan swung her arms as she walked back, and then she ran into Jiraiya at her doorstep. He looked like he had been waiting for her.

"Grandpa Jiraiya!" Su Yuanyuan called out helplessly.

"What are you calling me, you little brat! Call me Jiraiya, not Grandpa. I'm not old enough to be a grandpa yet!"

Jiraiya immediately bristled when he heard her address. He was still so young, and this girl was still just as annoying.

Su Yuanyuan pouted. She was already calling him Uncle Shuimen, so what else should she call him but Grandpa? But she was used to it and changed her address naturally.

"Alright, did Jiraiya need something from me?"

Jiraiya paused for a moment, then awkwardly rubbed his hair. "I heard you raised Minato's child."

"Yes, but he's not here right now. The Chunin Exams should have already started. If you want to see him, you'll have to wait a few days."

Su Yuanyuan nodded. This was no secret; everyone in the village knew. She had expected that someone would ask sooner or later.

She walked into the courtyard, opened the gate, and gestured for Jiraiya to come in with her. Now that they had found her home, they couldn't just leave her standing outside.

"I'll wait a few days if I have to. I want to see him too. How's the child?"

After Jiraiya came in, he skillfully took a drink from the refrigerator, which made Su Yuanyuan's lips twitch.

There was no need to tell her so explicitly that her family had been under surveillance. Giving Jiraiya a disapproving look, Su Yuanyuan sat down opposite him.

"Naruto is definitely a very well-behaved child. You'll know once you get to know him. Evaluations you hear from others are always biased."

Naruto sat down to one side with a conflicted look on his face. He was sure he could become stronger by following Jiraiya, but today he ignored him and left.

Will he be angry and never come to see me again? Should I go back and check on him?

Su Yuanyuan watched him struggle but didn't pay attention. She stood up, tidied herself up, and went to the kitchen to make something for Naruto. She could hear Naruto's stomach growling.
