Out of curiosity, Su Yuanyuan once soaked her father's leftovers in boiling water. It took at least half an hour to soak before she could eat them, and the taste was indescribable.

So when she had the opportunity, she still chose not to endure that hardship.

"Mom, can I bring some dried mushrooms?"

Su Yuanyuan flipped the dried meat over, then remembered that she could bring some dried mushrooms and cook them together in a soup for a hot meal.

Why are you bringing that?

While making the flatbread, Yue Niang asked, "This time, Su Yuanyuan is also coming along, so she needs to make more than usual."

"Okay, I've brought everything, let's go."

Su Jiye looked at her with a smile, thinking how well-behaved his daughter was!

Remembering what his wife had told him last night, Su Jiye silently suppressed his smile, his face gradually turning dark.

His daughter is still young, so there's no rush for her to get married.

Su Yuanyuan's family home wasn't too far from the village chief's house; they arrived in no time. From a distance, they could see a group of people standing at the village chief's door.

Upon approaching, Su Yuanyuan obediently bowed to the uncle she knew, and then looked at her father.

"Yuanyuan, you can just call him Uncle. We all share the same surname."

Seeing the questioning look in her daughter's eyes, Su Jiye gave her a brief introduction.

They're all from other villages; she doesn't need to know them all, just someone to address her when she meets them.

"Hello uncles, this is my first time going up the mountain. Please forgive me if I do anything wrong."

Su Yuanyuan greeted each of her uncles, saying sweet words to coax them, and her father received several envious glances.

Su Jiye proudly puffed out his chest, "Envious, aren't you? This is my daughter," which made Wenli and his brother roll their eyes at him.

“Girl, come with me after we go up the mountain. Your father is going hunting, and it will be dangerous if you go with him.”

Xu Wenli smiled kindly at Su Yuanyuan, trying to lure her to him.

Su Jiye's daughter is truly adorable; she's well-behaved and beautiful, far superior to his sister.

His sister is an illiterate girl who always acts superior.

Xu Wenli smiled gently, which made Su Yuanyuan sigh, "He truly is a scholar."
