The Young Swordsman of Dalu
Chapter 4 This older sister is so beautiful
When Wenjie arrived at Wenfei's courtyard, after paying his respects to the Prince and the old imperial physician Liang, he couldn't wait to go to Wenfei's bedside. Seeing Wenfei sleeping soundly on the bed, he became anxious again.
"Why did he fall asleep again?" Wenjie looked at Prince Wen and Imperial Physician Liang.
"It's alright, Wenfei will be fine. Imperial Physician Liang is here," Prince Wen comforted him.
"Second Young Master, don't worry. Fourth Young Master only has a head injury. He'll be fine after we give him acupuncture in a bit," said the kind Imperial Physician Liang.
"Old Imperial Physician, please hurry up and insert the needles!" Wenjie said anxiously.
"But the person who will administer the acupuncture hasn't arrived yet, so please wait a little longer," said the old imperial physician Liang calmly.
"Who could be more skilled than the old imperial physician?" Wenjie asked, puzzled.
"No rush, you'll find out soon," said the old imperial physician Liang, stroking his beard with a smile.
Prince Wen stood by with a smile, saying nothing. Only Wen Jie looked at Wen Fei lying on the bed, extremely anxious.
"Your Highness! Miss Liang has arrived!" Changsheng rushed into the room.
Before Changsheng could finish speaking, a beautiful and charming young woman walked in.
"Greetings, Your Highness." Liang Feiyan bowed and walked towards the old imperial physician, Liang. "Grandpa, I've arrived."
"It's good that Feiyan has arrived!" Prince Wen was overjoyed.
Upon seeing Liang Feiyan, Wenjie stood frozen, unsure of what to do. Since coming of age, Wenjie had become somewhat shy about matters between men and women, and besides, it had been many years since he had seen Liang Feiyan. He naturally felt a great deal of unfamiliarity between them.
"Wenjie, what are you standing there for? Don't you recognize Feiyan?" Prince Wen was worried for his son.
"Miss Liang." Wenjie only came back to his senses when he heard Prince Wen's voice.
"Greetings, Second Young Master," Liang Feiyan returned the greeting.
"I presume the person the old imperial physician is waiting for is Miss Liang. I humbly request that Miss Liang take the trouble to examine my fourth brother carefully," Wen Fei said respectfully.
"You're too kind, Second Young Master. This is a doctor's duty, and I will do my best," Liang Feiyan said as she walked to the bedside.
"Bring the medical kit over," Liang Feiyan said, sitting down.
The attendant placed the medical kit by the bedside, opened it, and Liang Feiyan took Wenfei's pulse again, proving that the old imperial physician Liang's diagnosis was accurate in every way.
Liang Feiyan took out a bag of silver needles from her medical kit, lined them up, and prepared to insert the needles. With a series of fluid movements, Wen Fei's head was covered in needles. Prince Wen, Wen Jie, and the others watched in stunned silence, marveling at her incredible skill.
Half an hour later, Liang Feiyan removed the needles. Everyone in the room was extremely nervous, especially Wenjie, who was really worried about Wenfei. Liang Feiyan turned her head and saw the nervous Wenjie.
"Second Young Master, please rest assured, Fourth Young Master will wake up soon," Liang Feiyan said.
"Thank you, Miss Liang. I also thank you on behalf of my fourth brother!" Wenjie said respectfully.
As she spoke, Liang Feiyan had already removed all the needles and put them into the needle bag. She then casually put them into the medical kit. After tidying up, she was about to get up when Wen Fei woke up groggily.
"Ah! Beautiful woman." Wen Fei blurted out as he vaguely saw Liang Feiyan sitting in front of the bed.
"You unfilial son, you open your eyes and start spouting nonsense! Call me 'sister'!" Prince Wen said angrily.
"It's alright, Your Highness, it's good that the Fourth Young Master is awake." Liang Feiyan got up and was about to leave.
"Sister, don't go! You're so beautiful!" Wenfei exclaimed from the bottom of his heart.
"You bastard, just wait until you're better, I'll see how I deal with you." Prince Wen felt very embarrassed.
"Alright, Your Highness, the Fourth Young Master is still just a child. It's good that he's awake," said the old imperial physician Liang with concern.
"Imperial Physician Liang, Feiyan, please forgive my rudeness," Prince Wen said apologetically.
"Thank you again, Physician Liang and Miss Liang," Wenjie said, bowing.
"Alright, don't stand on ceremony. We're practically family now. I'll prescribe some more medicine for the Fourth Young Master. He should decoct it and drink it. He'll be better in a few days," said the old imperial physician Liang with a smile.
“What Physician Liang said is true. We’re about to become family, so there’s no need for so much formality. You two have been acting strangely to me since earlier. It’s not like you’re meeting for the first time. You’ve grown up together. Are you really that unfamiliar?” Prince Wen said to Wen Jie with dissatisfaction.
"Father," Wenjie called out, embarrassed. He felt that his father could not have said such a thing in front of the Imperial Physician Liang, especially with Liang Feiyan still present.
"I'm sorry, you see, boys shouldn't be so shy," Prince Wen said with a smile.
"Father is becoming more and more unreliable." Wenjie glanced at Feiyan and really wanted to find a hole to crawl into.
"Alright, you two stop bickering. My grandson and I will go check on the old princess. We'll be heading back soon too," said the old imperial physician, Liang.
"Have a meal before you go back," said Prince Wen.
"The Prince's residence is busy with many affairs, so we won't disturb you any longer," said the old imperial physician Liang as he left the room.
Liang Feiyan glanced at Wen Jie, bowed to Prince Wen to say goodbye, and followed her grandfather to the residence of the Dowager Consort.
Watching Liang Feiyan's retreating figure, Wenjie felt a mix of emotions.
"Alright, the beauties are all gone. They took your heart with them," Wenfei said weakly, lying on the bed.
"You know me, kid?" Wenjie asked, his eyes wide.
"Who wouldn't recognize Wen Jie, the second young master of the Prince Wen's mansion!" Wen Fei said mischievously.
“I heard from Afu that you don’t remember us anymore, and I was worried. If you don’t recognize me, I will…” he said, raising his fist.
"What? Want to beat me up like Changsheng?" Wen Fei said with a smile.
"What? Changsheng wants to hit you? Changsheng, do you want to rebel? How dare you hit your master!" Wenjie pointed at Changsheng and said in a fierce manner.
"How could I dare? I was just worried because I saw Fourth Master was always unconscious. Why don't you ask Afu?" Changsheng said anxiously.
"Chang Sheng, Second Master is just joking with you. Can't you even tell?" Wen Fei comforted him.
"I knew that Second Master and Fourth Master both felt sorry for Changsheng," Changsheng said happily.
“Your skin is much thicker than our Afu’s. You really take after your master,” Wenjie said with a smile.
"Second brother, what's your relationship with that Miss Liang from earlier? From what Father and the others said, it seems she's your fiancée," Wenfei asked.
“Fourth Brother woke up today, it’s a good day, let’s not talk about this upsetting thing. You know Miss Liang well, right? Didn’t you used to always follow her around calling her ‘pretty sister’? Have you forgotten?” Wenjie said.
"Second Brother, I just had the needles removed from my head, so I'm still a bit dazed. To be honest, Miss Liang is a nice person. She's not only beautiful, but her medical skills are also so high. You haven't found a new love while you're out wandering the world, have you?" Wen Fei asked curiously.
"What are you talking about? Kid, your second brother isn't a playboy, there are just some things you don't understand," Wenjie said.
“I understand, Second Brother. Love requires mutual affection. If one person isn’t sincere, then you two won’t end up together,” Wenfei said.
"I really doubt you, kid. Like people say, you really did those bad things. Otherwise, how would you know so much?" Wenjie said, waving his fist.
"Second brother, you don't believe me anymore?" Wenfei asked anxiously.
"I believe you. Second brother will always believe in my fourth brother," Wenjie said, lowering his waving fist with a loving expression.
The two brothers gazed at each other, and their brotherly bond was strengthened once again.
