The Rise of a General's Daughter-in-Law Doctor

Chapter 139 Feng Yuhan Asks Li Muxia for Help on How to Win Her Heart

Everyone was very satisfied with the meal. Li Anran patted her round little belly and thought to herself: I ate too much again. I'm going to get a lecture from my mother again soon.

After finishing her meal, Li Muxia went to the kitchen. Her bone broth was still simmering, and it should be ready by now.

Li Anran naturally followed Li Muxia to the kitchen. She hadn't seen Li Muxia all day, so she definitely wanted to spend more time with her now.

The two arrived at the kitchen and saw that the hot pot broth had already solidified. Li Muxia was grateful for her wisdom; thankfully, she had asked someone to fetch some ice from the freezer when she left. Otherwise, given the current weather, it would probably be midnight before it completely solidified.

They went to check on the bone broth that was simmering. They could smell the rich aroma of meat from outside the kitchen. Luckily, they were both full, otherwise they would have really wanted to have two more bowls of soup.

By the time everything was finished, it was completely dark. Li Anran had gone back to sleep half an hour earlier because she couldn't stay awake any longer.

Li Muxia had the chopped ingredients placed in the freezer for preservation.

I used chopsticks to test the hot pot base and found that it had completely solidified. Then I used a knife to cut the hot pot base into cubes of the same size.

They were also wrapped piece by piece with oil paper.

After everything was wrapped, Li Muxia counted them and found that there were fifty pieces each of chili oil and bone broth.

Pack the portions meant for Li Anjin and Jun Mochen separately, and have the rest stored in the ice cellar.

With everything prepared, Li Muxia stretched and returned to her own courtyard.

As soon as they arrived in the courtyard, Cui'er had already prepared bathwater for Li Muxia.

After taking a nice hot bath, Li Muxia felt some relief from the soreness in her body. She told Cui'er and Hong'er to go and rest before returning to her bedroom.

As soon as I entered the room, I saw a dark figure sitting next to the table.

Startled, Li Muxia instinctively screamed, but quickly covered her mouth when she saw who it was.

However, Cui'er and Hong'er overheard them and ran towards Li Muxia, asking, "Miss, what's wrong?"

Seeing that the two were almost upon her, Li Muxia quickly closed the door and said to Cui'er and Hong'er, "It's nothing, it's nothing. I just suddenly remembered that there's something I haven't done yet. You two go back and rest, don't worry about me."

Although Cui'er and Hong'er had some doubts, they still believed Li Muxia unconditionally as long as she said it.

Cui'er pulled Hong'er and said to Li Muxia, "Then Miss, please rest quickly after you're done. If you need anything, just call me."

Li Muxia quickly nodded with a smile.

After watching the two walk away, Li Muxia opened the door and went inside.

Dongfang Jincheng looked at the person in front of him with a complicated expression. He couldn't sleep at all tonight. He was getting agitated thinking about how to explain things to Li Muxia. In the end, he decided to stop thinking about it since he couldn't sleep anyway, so he might as well go and see her.

When he arrived at her courtyard, he found out that Li Muxia was making hot pot base in the kitchen. He thought he would see her in a quarter of an hour, but he ended up waiting for an hour.

He thought a lot during that hour, and finally decided to first use Feng Yuhan's identity to subtly probe Li Muxia before deciding how to explain to her what he had been hiding from her.

Li Muxia was also completely surprised that Feng Yuhan would come to find her. She came up to him and asked, "Sect Master Feng, what brings you here?"

Feng Yuhan said, "I was just passing by, so I thought I'd drop by to see you."

Li Muxia looked at him suspiciously, which made Feng Yuhan feel a little flustered.

Li Muxia asked, "Is there something you need, Pavilion Master Feng?"

Upon hearing Li Muxia's words, Feng Yuhan followed up by saying, "Indeed, there is something I would like to ask you."

Li Muxia said, "Why ask for advice? Pavilion Master Feng, just say what you need."

Feng Yuhan knew that Li Muxia was straightforward, so he didn't beat around the bush and said directly, "I have a friend who recently fell for a girl. However, when he approached her before, he couldn't reveal his identity for some reason, so he used a fake identity to date her. They developed feelings for each other, but they were separated for a while for some reason and agreed to meet again in Kyoto. After the girl returned to Kyoto, she kept asking about my friend, but for some reason, my friend didn't go to the girl in time to explain things, so she couldn't find him. Now, my friend doesn't know how to face this girl."

After hearing Feng Yuhan's words, Li Muxia thought to herself: "Usually, stories that start with 'I have a friend' are about the person in question. I never thought that the dignified Master of the Shadow Pavilion would be troubled by personal matters."

Knowing full well that the friend Feng Yuhan was referring to was Feng Yuhan himself, Li Muxia pretended not to know and asked, "What does Pavilion Master Feng want to ask me?"

Feng Yuhan said, "If you were that woman, would you be angry about what my friend did?"

After listening to Feng Yuhan's words, Li Muxia thought for a moment and said, "If there is indeed an unavoidable reason for concealing one's identity, I wouldn't be angry if it were me. However, if the best time to explain has passed and one doesn't try to make amends but instead keeps running away, that's too irresponsible, and I would be angry."

Feng Yuhan breathed a sigh of relief when he heard Li Muxia say she wouldn't be angry. But when he heard that she would be angry because of what he had avoided, he became a little nervous and quickly asked, "If you were my friend, what would you do now?"

Li Muxia thought for a moment and said, "If it were me, I would find that woman immediately, explain the whole story, and ask for her forgiveness. I believe anyone with common sense would understand."

Feng Yuhan was delighted to hear Li Muxia's words and wanted to explain things to her as she suggested. Just as he put the mask on, he heard Li Muxia say, "However, I suggest your friend find a more romantic and beautiful place to explain. A woman's anger will dissipate when she is in a beautiful environment."

Upon hearing Li Muxia's words, Feng Yuhan's fingers stiffened, and he stopped, lowering his hand to ask, "What is a romantic and beautiful place?"

Upon hearing this, Li Muxia rolled her eyes inwardly: Well, this guy is a total straight man. Sigh, Pavilion Master Feng, how did you manage to win over that girl?

But she still kindly said, "It's best to have a nice environment, preferably with flowers around, and not too many people. Girls are shy, so your friend should prepare a bouquet of flowers and an apology gift. Young girls are always happy to receive a gift from someone they like."
