Chapter 73 Human Race's Response (Please add to your favorites and recommend)

Meanwhile, inside the human holy city.

Upon hearing Laozi's words, the three ancestors of the human race all emerged from seclusion. After learning the details, they hurried to the place where the Taoist Kongtong was in seclusion. However, Kongtong was not there, so the three of them had no choice but to pay their respects to the Holy Mother Nuwa.

Having received the visit of the three human races, Nuwa had no choice but to leave her secluded retreat. A short while later, the benevolent corpse left behind by the other party appeared, and the three ancestors all stepped forward and bowed, saying, "Greetings, Holy Mother."

Seeing the three men, including Suiren, Nuwa was puzzled. She had been in seclusion and paid little attention to external affairs. The human race usually wouldn't bother her unless there was a major problem. Seeing their anxiety, she lifted them up and asked, "What brings the three of you here together?"

"Your Majesty, Laozi from Kunlun Mountain has come to our human race to spread his teachings. I wonder how we should deal with this." Suirenshi, as the elder brother of the two, stepped forward first to inform Nuwa of the information he had received.

Upon hearing the other party's words, Nuwa sensed something and realized that Suirenshi's concerns were not unfounded. After the human race's period of seclusion, she knew that the human race she had created was extraordinary, and she already regretted entrusting Beiming with its care. Now, Laozi was interfering in the human race's affairs, which greatly displeased her.

He then sensed the location of the Kongtong Daoist's seclusion and found that the other party was not in the Holy City, but still asked, "What is the Holy Master's opinion on this matter?"

At this moment, Youchao replied, "The Holy Master is not in the Holy City, and we have not received a response to our messages. Therefore, we would like to ask Your Majesty how the human race should be treated."

Although the Three Ancestors only came looking for her after discovering that Beiming was not there, Nuwa knew that this situation could not be changed in a short time. After thinking for a moment, she said, "Let's go and see the situation together first, and then discuss this matter."

As soon as they finished speaking, the four of them disappeared from the holy city. Several hours later, when Nuwa and the three ancestors arrived at the place, they found the other party still preaching to the human race.

Although Nuwa wanted to ask, she remained quietly to the side. She knew that even if she was in a hurry, interrupting the other person's sermon would be disrespectful to her senior brother. It would also offend the listeners; didn't they see how engrossed they were in listening?

When Suirenshi saw Nuwa arrive but remained standing there, he knew that no one should disturb the sermon. Otherwise, even as the ancestor of mankind, he would not be able to withstand her anger. So he pricked up his ears to listen. Afterwards, he was extremely shocked, because the three of them discovered the extraordinary nature of Laozi's Golden Elixir Dao, which gave them a sense of enlightenment.

Time flies, and ten years have passed in the blink of an eye. Lao Tzu stopped preaching at the appropriate time. What he was talking about was the Dao before the Quasi-Saint stage, and all of humanity understood its meaning. He only combined body refinement, essence cultivation, and spirit concentration into one, then removed the dross and took the essence to make up for the deficiencies. Of course, it wouldn't take too long.

Although the Golden Elixir Dao is concise and to the point, it contains many obscure and difficult-to-understand passages. Those listening below either smiled broadly or frowned deeply. Before they could react, Nuwa and the three ancestors of humanity had already landed beside Laozi.

Lao Tzu already knew of the four's arrival, but he was preaching at the time and couldn't afford to be distracted. Now that he had finished preaching, he bowed to Nuwa and the other three, saying, "Greetings, Junior Sister Nuwa, greetings, three ancestors of humanity."

The crowd below also knelt down in unison, chanting repeatedly, "Greetings to the Holy Mother, greetings to the Holy Mother... greetings to the Three Ancestors, greetings to the Three Ancestors..."

After everyone knelt in worship, Nuwa gestured for them to rise. Then, she waved her hand and cast a barrier, preventing those below from hearing their conversation. She then coldly addressed Laozi, saying, "Senior Brother, you come to the human race to preach. Don't you know I'm in the Holy City? You show far too little respect for me, the Holy Mother of Humanity?"

Laozi was taken aback, never expecting that Nuwa, usually so gentle and refined, would utter such hurtful words. But little did he know that Laozi's actions had already diminished Nuwa's standing among the human race.

Although it's not obvious yet, if more and more people cultivate the Golden Core Dao in the future, Nuwa's fortune among humans will likely decline rapidly. This is tantamount to stealing food from her mouth; how could she not be angry? Fortune is like merit; who among the cultivators of the prehistoric world doesn't know its benefits?

Laozi then came to his senses and said calmly, "I came to the human race to spread the Dao, to pass down cultivation methods suitable for the human race. This is beneficial to the human race. Does Junior Sister Nuwa think there is anything wrong with it?"

Laozi originally wanted to explain, but seeing Nuwa's expression, he didn't bother to pay attention and said confidently. Then he looked at the three ancestors of the Suiren clan, "Three ancestors of humanity, I came here after being guided by the holy teacher of humanity to spread the teachings of the ancestors of humanity."

Lao Tzu meant that Nuwa's status among humans was clearly inferior to that of Beiming. When the other party had already stated that his path to sainthood lay with the human race, he probably already foresaw the matter of spreading his teachings.

As expected, upon hearing Laozi's words, the three members of the Suiren clan lowered their guard. Although they didn't know why the Sage Master would agree to their actions, his thoughts were beyond their comprehension. They knew that without the Sage Master, humanity would not have achieved its current prosperity, and the three of them would not have reached their current level of success.

Nuwa, however, reacted with displeasure upon hearing Laozi's words. She was both extremely displeased with Beiming's unauthorized decision and furious with Laozi. She then coldly snorted, waved away the restriction, and rode a cloud towards the Holy City.

Seeing Nuwa leave, Laozi didn't care. In his view, Nuwa's status among humans was worlds apart from that of Beiming. He had already noticed this during his hundred years of travel.

He then smiled at the three ancestors of the Suiren clan and said, "Three ancestors of humanity, I wish to establish a religious order in the human race to educate and enlighten the human race. Today, I ask the three of you to be my witnesses."

Meanwhile, far away in the Netherworld Blood Sea, the Mosquito Daoist, who was comprehending the Daoist alchemy inheritance given to him by Lao Tzu, suddenly sneezed. He then touched his nose, feeling somewhat puzzled. But he didn't dwell on it and continued his comprehension.

Unbeknownst to him, Lao Tzu was using him as a pretext. The Mosquito Taoist's approval of Lao Tzu's preaching among humans stemmed from his concern for the development of humanity. In his view, for humanity to become powerful, everything, regardless of its nature, should be constantly innovated.

Of course, he wouldn't let Laozi establish his sect so easily; he'd have to offer some benefits first. But how could he know that the other party would travel among humans while the Kongtong Daoist was away from the Holy City?

As for whether the other party's establishment of a religion would steal his fortune, he didn't care too much. As long as the human race becomes strong, after the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors, even if he were to have half a percent of the fortune bestowed upon him in the future, it would be incomparable to what he has now.

The three members of the Suiren clan didn't say anything about Laozi establishing the religious order. Since the Holy Master had given his approval, even if they were unhappy, they could only keep it to themselves. But when the Holy Master returned, they would still inquire about it, otherwise they would inevitably harbor some resentment.
