Another World: The Failed Magician

After Los finished speaking, many villagers looked conflicted.

After a brief period of hesitation, more than a dozen villagers stepped forward.

However, all of these villagers were stopped by the people of the Loca Federation and the Magicians' Association.

Los walked unimpeded to the village chief's side.

He patted the old man on the shoulder: "Let's go, the outcome is already obvious."

The old man glanced around unwillingly, and the villagers he saw turned their heads away with complicated expressions.

After sighing, the old man reluctantly led Los into the wooden house.

After entering the cabin, Los closed the wooden door behind him.

Los and the old man stared at each other in the cramped wooden hut.

Los looked at the old man with graying temples and said with a hint of regret, "I never thought that a former genius would fall to such a state. At only 29 years old, you are already like this. Anust, if I hadn't come, you would have lived for at most another month."

Upon hearing this, the old man frowned slightly, and his expression became somewhat unnatural, as if something important in his heart had been touched.

Anus quickly calmed down and looked at Los as well: "How is my brother now?"

Los looked at him with a mocking expression after hearing this.

"What else can happen? Shouldn't you have already felt the power of that curse? Even a genius like you has ended up like this. Your teacher couldn't hold on for a year, and he believed in you until his death that as long as he could break through to the Saint rank, he could break this curse."

Anuste had already guessed this outcome, but upon actually hearing the news, he still couldn't help feeling a little bitter.

"Who is the president of the Mage's Association?"

A complex magic circle appeared on the wall of the wooden house.

Anus looked at him, puzzled.

"In your current state, how much essence and blood do you have left? Are you out of your mind?"

"You still care about my life?"

"Of course I don't care, but some people do."

Los took out a crystal bottle from his spatial ring, which contained a vial of bright red blood.

It's unclear how Los preserved this vial of blood, but the blood in the bottle is still alive.

"This is?"

Anustra looked at the crystal bottle filled with blood.

“This is what the teacher left for you. He knew his days were numbered, so he left this bottle of blood.”

Anuster's aged hands trembled slightly as he accepted the blood.

Breaking this seal requires the lifeblood of their entire clan, but given Anust's current state, even draining his lifeblood might not be enough to open the seal. He hadn't expected his brother to have foreseen this.

Anust dripped blood onto the magic circle as he chanted an ancient incantation.

Suddenly, the ancient magic circle began to flash with a strange light.

Just then, Los felt a shackle in his heart break.

Los instantly felt a huge weight lifted off his shoulders.

His teacher never truly trusted him, and Los did all this because of the contract his teacher had made to him before his death.

He fulfilled his promise to his teacher, and from then on, he was truly free; the contract would no longer restrict him.

A sharp crack, like the sound of shattering glass, reached Los's ears.

Then, a terrifying aura filled the entire island.

Los knew this was a sign that the seal had been broken and the demons had regained their freedom.
