Ruan Mumu was unaware that her parents in the modern world had moved back to their old house in the countryside. Because her current room was extremely cramped and she was sleeping in the same bed as Chen Donghua, she dared not sneak into the space at night.

Furthermore, even if she entered the space, she wouldn't be able to see her parents, so she didn't think about these things too much.

The next morning, when the sun was already high in the sky, Ruan Mumu slowly got out of bed.

"Your eldest and second eldest brothers said they were going to check on the rice seedlings in the fields early this morning, and they'll probably be home soon," Chen Donghua answered Ruan Mumu's question without looking up as she squatted in front of the stove cooking porridge.

"Mother, we're back!" As soon as you say that, two excited voices came from outside the door, and then two figures appeared at the gate.

As Ruan Xiaojun put down the shovel, he said excitedly, "Mom, you don't know, the rice seedlings we planted last night have grown half a foot tall overnight."

Ruan Xiaohai chimed in from the side, "Mother, I'm not lying to you, it really is like that."

Chen Donghua looked at her two sons suspiciously, wondering if they were just trying to make her happy.

“Mom, look.” Ruan Xiaohai took a rice seedling out of the basket and handed it to Chen Donghua. “I knew you might not believe me, so I brought one back to show you.”

Chen Donghua took the seedlings and saw that they were indeed seedlings, and the roots looked quite thick and strong, clearly good seedlings. She quickly exclaimed, "I didn't expect them to grow so well. It must be your father's blessing from heaven. I guess your father felt sorry for us, so he blessed our seedlings to grow back quickly."

Ruan Xiaojun and Ruan Xiaohai nodded in agreement with delight.

Seeing the three of them looking so happy, Ruan Mumu nodded in agreement and said, "I guess so."

"Alright, let's get ready to eat! Mu Mu and I are going to go up the mountain to pick some wild vegetables later." Chen Donghua had already turned off the fire and placed the earthenware pot on the wooden board to the side.

The family ate their meal standing up again.

After breakfast, Ruan Xiaojun and Ruan Xiaohai went to their land to weed. The summer harvest was over, and they hadn't decided what to plant yet, but they still needed to turn the land over first.

He cursed the old woman in his heart again, thinking how cruel she was. This wasn't her own child, yet she didn't care about it at all!

"Mom, I'm fine now. I'll go up the mountain with you. That way we can pick more wild vegetables. I'll also check if there really are any treasures up there, hehe..." Ruan Mumu said as she pulled Chen Donghua out the door.

The two chatted as they walked.

Before they knew it, the two had reached the mountainside. Chen Donghua looked at the increasingly dense forest and said, "Mumu, let's stay here and see what wild vegetables we can find. We can't go any further, otherwise it won't be safe if we go into the deep mountains. I haven't gone any further either, and I'm not familiar with this path."

Ruan Mumu looked around and saw that although they were halfway up the mountain, the plants were all ordinary. If she took out something different later, she would probably arouse suspicion. Looking at the dense forest, Ruan Mumu mentally called out to the Purple Elf again: "Mr. Purple, if we encounter danger, can I take my mother and hide in the space?"

Chen Donghua was surprised that the taro was so big and asked incredulously, "Mumu, is that really a taro?"

Ruan Mumu helped Chen Donghua carry the basket on her back and comforted her, "Mother, do you think I don't understand taro? It's probably because the soil here is good that it grows so big."

Chen Donghua agreed, thinking that the child had helped with chores since he was little, so how could he not understand? She then fell silent.

The two walked together into the mountains for another fifteen minutes.

"Mother, let's search around here. Let's split up and look for wild vegetables or something in this area. Just don't go too far," Ruan Mumu instructed.

"Okay." Chen Donghua replied and began to look for wild vegetables around her. Soon she had picked a large handful.

"Mom, I just dug this up over there. It looks a bit like glass. Look at this, you can even see things on the other side through it!" Ruan Mumu said, holding up a glass to Chen Donghua's eyes so she could see things clearly through it.

"This is really a good thing!" Chen Donghua exclaimed, then looked around nervously. "Quickly put it away, otherwise if someone discovers it, it might be stolen." After saying that, she quickly put it into her basket.

"Mother, let's hurry down the mountain! We've already picked so many wild vegetables." Seeing that they had achieved their goal for the day, Ruan Mumu urged Chen Donghua to go down the mountain.

"Mumu, why don't we look again? Look how many you've found so quickly! Just like the news you got, there are lots of treasures in these mountains," Chen Donghua said with a beaming smile.

Ruan Mumu remained unmoved. If she revealed too much at once, no one would believe it was true. She should hurry up and leave; she could take things out slowly.

"Mom, let's go! One shouldn't be greedy. We've had a great harvest today." Ruan Mumu took Chen Donghua's hand and started walking down the mountain.
