Quick Transmigration: Survive to the End
Chapter 590 World 48
Stella made an excuse to go back and deliver a message, asking Catherine to wait for her a while.
She estimated the speed at which the greenhouse was moving, and after a slight delay, she returned to Catherine.
Stella gave Catherine the two things she needed: "Take a look at them first, then put them away. Open them only when you need them."
"These two boxes are specially made so that you can still get the best results when using them."
Even if you leave them out, let alone the jewels and fruits inside, just these two boxes alone could fetch a high price.
After all, some precious things need to be preserved in the same good condition.
“Thank you, teacher,” Catherine said, giving Stella a kiss. “I have to go to other races now. I hope you’ll see a completely new me next time we meet.”
Stella also said, "I hope that next time we meet, you will see a completely new me."
Catherine didn't understand what she meant, and Stella didn't explain either.
Stella escorted Catherine to meet her waiting servants before returning to the flower room, intending to go home.
Halfway there, Stella suddenly heard a hoarse voice: "Look what I found, a flower bud?"
Stella peered through the gaps in the greenhouse and discovered that this was a necromancer who should have only existed in the dark abyss.
The necromancer appearing on the border of the Elf Forest—what an obscure and absurd connection!
Because of the angle, Stella could clearly see the soul fire burning in the necromancer's eyes.
"Alright, skeleton," a deep voice that sounded pleasant yet somewhat ambiguous and sticky rang out. A man dressed in gorgeous clothes appeared behind the necromancer, but with conspicuous sharp teeth when he opened his mouth. He glanced at the man casually.
"This is the Fairy Forest. What's so strange about having flower buds here? Can't you see all the other flowers over there? Don't forget the important matter."
"Once I've taken care of everything, I'll buy you a hundred flowers."
“Alright, whatever you say,” the necromancer said with some regret, looking at Stella’s motionless little greenhouse. “Charlie, have you found the person you’re looking for?”
“We found her, but she just left,” Charlie shrugged. “I didn’t expect the Elf King to be so easy to talk to, not even giving her a moment’s delay. It seems we’ll have to think of another way.”
The necromancer scoffed, "Isn't that because you were delayed on the way? So even your vampires' dog noses can be off sometimes."
“Shut up, skeleton,” Charlie said, his face frosty. “Don’t compare me to those stupid werewolves. Use your brain.”
"Okay, I forgot. You're not very bright, which is why the adults don't trust you to go out and do things on your own."
As the necromancer gathered black magical mist in his hands, the vampire Charlie spoke unhurriedly: "You don't believe me when I say you're brainless? This is the Elf Forest, not the Dark Abyss. Using necromancy here, are you trying to hasten your death?"
“When elves get into a fight, it’s not like the petty squabbles you have within your own tribe.”
The necromancer was angry, but had no choice but to reluctantly stop the spell.
Stella clearly saw that the necromancer not only did not suffer any backlash from pausing his magic midway, but even opened his robes and stuffed the magical mist directly into his bones.
Stella's eyes widened in surprise. Magic could do that?
Stella rolled her eyes, choosing to continue eavesdropping.
The necromancer said, "Then tell me, what should we do now?"
“Of course we’ll keep chasing,” Charlie glanced in the direction of the Elf Forest. “Can you contact that fairy from before?”
The necromancer shook his head: "The mark of the soul has long since disappeared."
“Well,” Charlie said nonchalantly, “it seems she was rather unlucky, dying too young. What a pity for the century-long plan that the adults made back then.”
"But that fairy wasn't strong enough. She was still a few years away from five hundred years when she was gone."
Stella stroked her chin. Judging from the information they were conveying, the fairy they wanted to contact might be Anna.
But does Anna possess a soul imprint?
Although the necromancer had no facial features, Stella could clearly see his disdain in the changes in the flames in his eyes.
"Fairies can live as long as elves, so why do you think she's dead? Couldn't she still be alive, just with her mark erased?"
“Impossible,” Charlie asserted. “That soul mark uses adult methods, specifically designed to target non-dark creatures that still cling to the gods.”
"If she wants to disappear on her own, she would have to choose to live in darkness all day long."
"Which of these innocent fairies, yearning for light and brilliance, possesses such courage?"
This time, the necromancer didn't argue anymore, but urged Charlie to leave quickly: "If you're late and don't find the target in the next place, you can go back and find someone more capable to take over!"
"What do you mean by replacing him with someone more capable? Am I not good enough?" Charlie was very dissatisfied, but he also quickened his pace to cooperate.
Stella sat there for a while longer before starting the greenhouse, summoning a leopard to roll around in the grass and "ruthlessly destroy the flowers," then leaving a "monitoring" spot before leaving with peace of mind.
If the "fairy" mentioned in those two sentences refers to Anna, then their identities are obvious: they are members of the rebels against the gods.
But Stella wasn't sure whether they were talking so much because the conversation had gotten to that point, or if they had discovered something and were deliberately putting on a show.
Stella returned to the palace and saw that there were other elves in the Elf King's study. Instead of going in to disturb them, she flew directly to the Mother Tree, sat on a branch, and activated "monitoring".
Stella discovers that the necromancer and the vampire returned shortly after she left.
They were still somewhat bewildered by the mess on the ground.
Just then, a faint sound rang out, and they came face to face with the leopard that Stella had summoned.
This leopard is quite something; it smells wonderful and has flower petals on its head.
As soon as the leopard saw them, it vanished in an instant.
Charlie the vampire cleared his throat: "Who would have thought? Don't you think so?"
