Before the 100-day celebration, Stella welcomed her good friend.

Because they share a common king and live in the same forest, the fairy and elf races have always had a good relationship. For such an important event as the 100-day celebration, the fairy race naturally had to come early to help.

"Stella!"

The three children had barely arrived in the Elf City when they saw their friend flying beside the Elf King. Ignoring the elder's instructions before they left, they immediately surrounded him.

Stella, I miss you so much.

"Me too, me too, Stella, how have you been lately?"

"Stella, look, this is the fruit I brought for you. It's the biggest and sweetest one I picked myself!"

Stella's ears were filled with the voices of her cub friends.

The adult elves around them chatted with the other elves, and unconsciously watched them with smiles, but they all tacitly refrained from disturbing them.

When her friends arrived from the Elven realm, Stella naturally wanted to take them sightseeing as she had previously promised.

In fact, elves have a very large range of activities, and the elven city is just a place to settle down, modeled after human cities.

However, for the little fairies, Elf City is enough for them to do as they please.

The fairies followed Stella and saw many treasures rarely seen in the fairy lands, and also played and frolicked with unicorns, pegasi, and other creatures.

When it was time to go back to rest, the little fairies were reluctant to leave and wanted to sleep with Stella until they heard that she lived in the palace.

The next day, Stella planned to take her friends to the place where the fruit was grown and let them try other delicious food. However, she bumped into Eugene, the magic god who had come to see the Elf King, as soon as she stepped out the door.

"Wow, it's a human!" the three little fairies exclaimed and immediately found a place to hide.

After they hid, they saw Stella still standing there, and they anxiously called out to her, "Stella, hide quickly! He's human! He'll catch little goblins!"

Because fairies are innocent and lively, they easily believe what others say, and being so small, they don't have much ability to protect themselves. So, the first lesson they learn in the fairy class is to stay away from humans.

Although there are good and bad among humans and other races, the fairies have a rather sharp attitude towards humans because humans once captured fairies as pets, resulting in the unnatural deaths of many fairies.

Stella looked at the little fairies, then at Eugene.

Although she knew Eugene wasn't a bad person to her, Stella didn't intend to break the beliefs that the fairy teachers had taught the little fairies.

Humans are still too dangerous for little fairies who can't yet distinguish between good and evil, Stella whispered to Eugene, "I'm sorry."

After saying that, she ran off to meet up with her friends.

The little fairies cheered from behind the obstacles.

Seeing that Eugene had cooperated and stood still without disturbing the little fairy who had already left, the elf next to him also stepped forward to apologize to him.

As Eugene entered the palace, Reid, who had already flown to the rooftop, asked, "Stella, why was this human allowed to see the king?"

Stella then told them, "The king has invited some foreign tribes to participate in the hundred-day celebration. He is the god of magic of mankind and has also been invited."

Grey said softly, "Then he can go see the king, he's a good man, right?"

“That’s not necessarily true,” Blue said, arms crossed. Despite being the youngest of the trio, he seemed most like the older brother. “In the Elf City, right under the King’s nose, he’s definitely a good person. But if we see him alone or outside, that’s another story.”

Stella nodded in agreement: "Bruce is right. Even if he is a guest, we cannot judge its quality solely based on that status."

“I don’t think he’s a good person,” Bru suddenly said after they had flown quite a distance from the palace. “I hate the way he looks at us.”

The other two little fairies seemed to understand but not quite, while Stella immediately grasped what Blue meant.

When Stella first met Eugene, she was with the Elf King, so Eugene was very friendly to her and even gave her a gift.

But Eugene may have had something on his mind just now, because his eyes were filled with scrutiny and inquiry as he looked at the little fairies.

That's why the little fairies, who are very sensitive to emotions, would run away without a trace as soon as they saw each other.

Thinking about Eugene's purpose in meeting the Elf King, Stella wanted to find out more.

“Stella,” Grey leaned closer to her, “what are you thinking about? Have you thought of a fun place to go?”

Stella looked at her friends who were right in front of her and said, "I just realized that we can do something else besides visiting the Elf Forest."

The little fairies gathered around: "What is it? What is it?"

Stella said, "Garcia said that many elves who went out to travel have returned because of the Hundred Days celebration. I think we can go and find them to hear their stories and learn something about what's happening outside."

“I heard that human say that the forces of darkness are expanding rapidly in the outside world, and I want to ask if it’s true.”

“Then what are we waiting for?” Reed said coolly. “Let’s go ask.”

Led by Stella, the fairies quickly found a red-haired elf.

After the elf opened the door, Reed exclaimed in surprise, "Your hair is red too! It's so long and beautiful! How do you take care of it?"

Reed rubbed his hair with some distress: "Mine is very frizzy and gets tangled all the time, so I had to cut it very short."

The red-haired elf was surprised to receive a knock at the door from the cubs, and even more surprised that the first question he heard after opening the door was about hair.

He invited the little fairies in and spoke to them.

Stella also successfully learned everything she wanted to know.

Eugene was indeed telling the truth about the expansion of dark forces.

Although darkness sounds more terrifying than light, the Dark Temple is ruthless in recruiting followers and its doctrines are more radical, so many people, especially those with greater ambitions, have turned to the Dark Temple.

However, from the red-haired elf's account, Stella keenly realized that the so-called invasion of the continent by darkness was more like the Temple of Light's expulsion and targeting of heretics.

The two forces were vying for power and had not reached a balance, which naturally resulted in damage.

Stella couldn't understand why Eugene would unite so many races to fight the Dark Temple if things were developing this way.

After bidding farewell to the fairies, Stella returned to the palace only to find that Eugene had already left. Naturally, she asked the Elf King about it without any hesitation.

The Elf King replied, "Because Eugene worships only one god."

"The greater the power of the god he worships and the more believers he has, the more he can gain."

The Elf King's eyes were calm: "But elves and fairies are different. We are the darlings of nature, born to connect with many elements and favored by many gods."

"Therefore, our 100-day celebration is a celebration in which all the gods will offer sacrifices."

Stella understood; the elves worshipped both the god of light and the god of darkness.

Besides these two, they also worship the elemental gods of wood, fire, water, earth, and wind.

So no matter how passionately Eugene spoke, or how many times he came to see him, the Elf King never gave him a definite answer.

What a joke! The elves have conquered everyone, so why would anyone bother taking sides?
