Beast Taming Star Journey
Chapter 80 A Classroom Disrupted, Yet Accompanied by Love
Suddenly, Zhou spoke up, "Teacher Nong, I heard... that you and Su Wushen have a close relationship?"
She drawled out the last syllable, her tone full of mockery. A murmur rippled through the classroom. I felt my cheeks flush slightly, while Su Yao remained calm, only tightening her grip on my hand.
I cleared my throat and tried to speak calmly: "Su Wushen is my friend and was once my mentor. She provided a lot of help in my teaching."
I deliberately emphasized the word "mentor" in the hope of dispelling some unnecessary speculation.
"Oh? Mentor? Then Su Wushen must have taught you many powerful beast-taming techniques, right? Why don't you demonstrate them to us today?"
Zhou persisted, her eyes gleaming with defiance. I knew she was deliberately making things difficult for me, trying to embarrass me in class.
I took a deep breath and tried to keep myself calm.
"Su Wushen's skills are profound and cannot be learned overnight. Today's lesson will mainly focus on..."
I tried to steer the conversation back to the lesson content, but Zhou was clearly not going to give up.
"Teacher Nong, are you scared? Is your relationship with Su Wushen just a formality?"
She continued to fan the flames, and the atmosphere in the classroom became increasingly tense.
I smiled slightly and said, "Since you are so curious, I will give you a simple demonstration of a beast-taming technique that Su Wushen taught me—'Mind and Body in Harmony'."
I walked to the center of the classroom, closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and connected my mental energy with a laboratory mouse in the classroom.
I guided the lab mice to perform a series of complex actions and explained the underlying principles of animal control.
The students were stunned, and some who had previously been skeptical of my teaching methods began to look at me with admiration.
After the demonstration, the classroom erupted in enthusiastic applause.
I saw Zhou's face turn somewhat unpleasant, but she did not give up. Instead, she continued to ask some tricky questions, trying to find my weaknesses.
However, I was prepared. I cleverly transformed these questions into teaching cases, guiding students to think and discuss them together.
In a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, the students not only learned new knowledge, but also deepened their understanding and trust in me.
I glanced at Zhou; her previously defiant gaze had dimmed considerably, replaced by a hint of barely perceptible annoyance.
I secretly breathed a sigh of relief; it seemed the crisis for this lesson was temporarily averted.
Just as I was about to continue my lecture, I noticed that Zhou started whispering something to the student next to him, and occasionally making giggling noises.
I frowned, a sense of foreboding creeping into my heart.
Suddenly, a paper airplane flew from Zhou's direction and landed steadily on my podium... I unfolded the paper airplane, on which was drawn a crooked heart, and next to it was written, "Teacher Nong, I like you."
The classroom erupted in laughter, and my face flushed bright red. Zhou and the girls next to her were laughing so hard they were doubled over, showing no sign of stopping.
I took a deep breath and tried to suppress the anger in my heart.
"Zhou, please pay attention to classroom discipline."
My voice was much harsher than usual.
"I was just expressing my affection for the teacher, Teacher Nong, why are you taking it so seriously?"
Zhou feigned grievance, but her eyes were full of provocation. I was about to speak when Wu suddenly stood up.
"Teacher Nong, it seems your teaching methods are seriously flawed. You can't even manage classroom discipline, how can you teach students well?"
His tone was full of sarcasm.
I suppressed my anger and explained, "I just wanted to make the classroom atmosphere more lively, but I didn't expect..."
"Active? I think it's more like chaos!"
My colleague Wu interrupted me, saying, "Professor Qian said long ago that your teaching methods are not suitable for our college, so you should give up as soon as possible."
I clenched my fists, my heart filled with helplessness and anger.
I know that my colleague Wu has always been dissatisfied with my teaching methods, and this time he is using this as an excuse to try to expel me from the college.
The bell finally rang, and I practically fled the classroom.
Su Yao had been waiting for me outside the classroom. When she saw me come out, she immediately came up to me and asked with concern, "What's wrong? You look so pale?"
I shook my head, not wanting her to worry. Su Yao pulled me to the academy's garden, where flowers were in full bloom and a faint fragrance filled the air.
She leaned gently against my chest and said softly, "Nongyu, don't let these people influence you. I believe in you."
Her body pressed tightly against mine, and I could feel her warmth and softness. In that moment, all my worries and anxieties vanished, leaving only endless warmth and tranquility.
"Thank you, Su Yao."
I said softly.
"Fool, why are you being so polite with me?"
Su Yao looked up and gave me a sweet smile.
In the following days, Zhou's disruptive behavior continued, classroom discipline deteriorated, and my teaching was greatly affected.
I've tried all sorts of methods, but nothing has worked. I've started to doubt myself—am I really not suited to be a teacher?
I sat in the library, flipping through various books on beast taming techniques, hoping to find some new ideas.
Manager Li came over. He was an eccentric old man, but he was very friendly to me.
"Are you studying teaching methods again?"
He asked. I nodded and sighed.
“Class discipline has been very poor lately, and I don’t know what to do.”
After a moment's thought, Administrator Li said, "Perhaps you can try a different approach."
"Another way?"
I looked at him with a puzzled expression.
"for example……"
Administrator Li smiled mysteriously, "Private tutoring."
I froze, and a thought suddenly flashed through my mind.
I stood up abruptly and said to Manager Li, "Thank you, I understand!"
I returned to the classroom and announced that I would be offering private tutoring to interested students after class. The classroom erupted in commotion, and Zhou, in particular, looked utterly surprised.
Upon hearing this, Professor Qian and his colleague Wu rushed over, their eyes filled with suspicion... I looked at them, a faint smile playing on my lips, "It seems the real show is just beginning."
I turned around and began tidying up the teaching materials on the podium, my gaze firm.
