The feeling of falling lasted only a moment before I crashed heavily onto a soft net. The net was very elastic, and I bounced a few times like a ball before finally landing steadily on it. Before I could even catch my breath, I heard Su Yao exclaim in surprise, and then she also fell, landing next to me.

"Fortunately, it wasn't a fatal trap."

Su Yao dusted herself off and stood up. I looked around and realized we were in a huge pit with smooth walls that were impossible to climb.

Above us, where we had been standing, the stone gate covered in runes still stood silently, as if mocking our foolishness.

I punched the net hard and realized that it was no ordinary net. It was woven from some special plant fiber and was extremely tough.

Zhao Laoda's voice came from above the pit, tinged with smugness. I looked up and saw Zhao Laoda and Liu Lao Er standing at the edge of the pit, looking down at us.

I pulled Su Yao behind me and stared warily ahead... The passage suddenly opened up, and we fell into a more spacious underground space.

Before they could even catch their breath, Zhao Laoda and Liu Laoer caught up and blocked the entrance to the passage.

Zhao Laoda grinned maliciously, his face full of mockery.

A flash of light appeared in his hand, and a ferocious beast resembling a giant lizard, covered in black scales, appeared beside him. Its scarlet eyes stared intently at us, and its deep roars made the cave hum.

"Black-Scaled Demon Lizard! High-level Beast Taming!"

My heart sank. The aura of this Black Scale Demon Lizard far surpassed that of any beast I had encountered before, and I felt a little difficulty breathing.

With a wave of his hand, Zhao Laoda's Black Scale Demon Lizard immediately opened its blood-red maw and pounced on us.

A foul stench assaulted my senses, and I instinctively took a step back, but Su Yao suddenly stepped in front of me.

Su Yao shouted, drew her long sword, and with a flash of cold light, a sharp sword aura shot straight at the Black Scale Demon Lizard.

I held Su Yao's hand tightly, my heart filled with worry. Su Yao turned and glanced at me, her eyes firm, and gave me a reassuring smile.

She moved with lightning speed, locked in combat with the Black-Scaled Demon Lizard. Sword light flashed, lizard shadows darted about, and for a time, it was difficult to determine a winner. Although I couldn't help, I kept a close eye on the battle.

Su Yao's swordsmanship was exquisite and her movements were agile, but the Black Scale Demon Lizard had thick skin and great strength, and Su Yao gradually fell into a disadvantageous position.

Just then, the walls of the pit suddenly began to move, and countless sharp stone spikes emerged from the originally smooth walls, approaching us.

While dodging the stone spikes, we also had to be wary of sneak attacks from Zhao Laoda and Liu Laoer, putting us in a precarious situation where we were attacked from both sides.

A thought struck me, and I remembered the method I had used to break the trap. I grabbed Su Yao and, while dodging attacks, ran towards the patterns.

"Want to repeat the same trick? It won't be that easy!"

Boss Zhao saw through my intentions and ordered the Black-Scaled Demon Lizards to intensify their attack in an attempt to stop me. I gritted my teeth and dodged the attacks with all my might, finally reaching the pattern.

I took a deep breath and, following the same method as before, began to touch the patterns.

The pattern emitted a faint glow, and the walls of the pit began to move again, but this time the movement was different from before.

The stone spikes on the wall did not disappear, but began to change position, forming a passage to the other side.

"Come on!"

I grabbed Su Yao and rushed into the newly appeared passage. Boss Zhao and Boss Liu were in hot pursuit, and the roars of the Black Scale Demon Lizard echoed through the passage.

Just as we were about to reach the end of the passage, a figure suddenly appeared at the exit.

The figure hovered in the air, radiating a powerful aura. Its face was obscured, but one could sense the ancient and mysterious power emanating from it. Who was it?
