Without the slightest hesitation, Su Yao immediately understood my meaning. She flashed and stood between me and the crowd, the long sword in her hand emitting a dazzling light, forming a barrier that blocked out the noise.

"Are you feeling better?" Su Yao's voice came through the barrier, carrying a hint of concern.

I nodded, closed my eyes again, and focused all my mental energy on sensing that energy fluctuation. Although Su Yao's barrier blocked out most of the noise, the roar of the giant bear beast tamer was still deafening, making it difficult for me to fully concentrate.

Suddenly, I felt a warm power surge from my chest, flowing throughout my body. It was my contracted beast, Xiao Jin. Sensing my predicament, it proactively shared its power with me, helping me shield myself from interference.

Xiao Jin is a small, golden-yellow creature, resembling a squirrel, but possessing immense spiritual power. We have a contract of equality; we share each other's strength and are connected at heart.

Just then, a warm body gently leaned against my shoulder. I turned to look and saw Su Yao. She didn't say anything, but simply stood quietly beside me, expressing her support through her actions.

I smelled the delicate fragrance of her hair, faint like morning dew, refreshing and soothing. This fragrance was like a clear spring flowing into my heart, washing away my restlessness and unease.
