Chapter 353 The Shakers Turn to Unity

Jin Xi, the Beast Tamer, had an uncertain expression, his hand holding the scroll trembling slightly. The hall was so quiet you could hear a pin drop, and all eyes were on him. I could feel his inner struggle, like a tree swaying in a storm, about to fall at any moment, yet stubbornly holding on. He repeatedly looked at the contents of the scroll, his brow furrowed, his lips moving as if he were silently reciting something.

Su Yao gripped my hand tightly; her palms were slightly damp, and I could feel her nervousness. I gently squeezed her hand and gave her a reassuring look.

I was overjoyed, knowing that he had made his choice.

Jinxi and the others were stunned by this sudden sight. They stared at my beast taming formation in disbelief, their eyes filled with shock. They had never seen such a powerful beast taming lineup, let alone imagined that a seemingly ordinary young man like me could possess such strength.

I placed my hand on the giant bear's head, feeling its warm fur, and said, "These are my companions. They, like me, are willing to fight to protect our home!"

My words resonated powerfully, echoing through the hall. The Beastmaster, Jinxi, looked at my beast, his gaze hardening. He took a deep breath, gripping the scroll tightly in his hand, as if grasping his own resolve.

“I understand,” he raised his head, his eyes shining brightly, “I am willing to fight alongside you!”

A burst of enthusiastic cheers erupted in the hall as people embraced each other, celebrating this hard-won unity. Looking at their joyful expressions, my heart was filled with hope as well.

However, just then, a chilling voice shattered the brief celebration… “You’re celebrating too soon…” The cold voice came from the strategist in the corner. His previously confident smile was now covered in frost, the smile vanished completely, and his face turned ashen. He slowly stood up, the folding fan in his hand snapping shut with a sharp sound that was particularly jarring amidst the cheers.

"Do you think you've won just like that?" Strategist Bo's voice carried a hint of malice. His gaze swept over the crowd, finally settling on Beastmaster Xi. "Xi, do you really think betraying the Dark Lord will end well? Do you think these beasts can protect you?" He glanced contemptuously at my beastmaster companion, his eyes filled with disdain.

The Beastmaster clenched his fist, a flicker of hesitation crossing his face, but his resolve hardened quickly. "I will no longer be deceived by you!" he declared. "I choose to stand on the side of justice!"

Su Yao walked up to Jinxi, the Beast Tamer, took his hand, and gave him an encouraging look. I could feel Jinxi's hand trembling, but Su Yao's gaze gave him strength. He gripped Su Yao's hand in return, his eyes filled with gratitude.

Seeing this, Strategist Bo's face grew even more gloomy. "Since that's the case, then don't blame me for being impolite!" He suddenly took out a black crystal ball from his sleeve. The crystal ball emitted an eerie aura, and the surrounding air seemed to freeze.

"What is this?" someone exclaimed.

The strategist, Bo, gave a sinister smile: "This is the power bestowed upon me by the Dark Lord, enough to destroy everything here!"

A commotion erupted in the hall as people retreated, their faces filled with fear. The Beast Tamer, Jinxi, was also pale, but he held Su Yao's hand tightly, refusing to back down.

It was the boy from Jinmai! He rushed out from the crowd and stood in front of Jinbo the strategist, his small body full of courage.

"What...what are you doing?" Jinbo strategist clearly did not expect that this weak and powerless boy would dare to stand up.

"I won't allow you to hurt everyone!" The boy with metal glared at the strategist with metal, his eyes filled with rage. "A despicable person like you doesn't deserve to have power!"

The courage of the boy with the metal inspired everyone, and the initially panicked people gradually calmed down.

I walked over to the boy with the metal, patted him on the shoulder, and gave him an approving look.
