Beast Taming Star Journey
Chapter 340 Exploring the Path of Training Methods
Chapter 340 Exploring the Path of Training Methods
In the secluded training area, the air was filled with a faint scent of herbs mixed with the aroma of earth. The Beastmaster and I sat on the ground, with that dreadful list of resources laid out before us.
“Look, what if we add the powder of Crimson Flame Stone to the daily drinking water of our beasts…” I pointed to a resource on the list and tried to propose a new solution.
The Beast Tamer shook his head. "The energy of the Crimson Flame Stone is too domineering. Ordinary beasts cannot withstand it and it will damage their meridians instead."
I sighed and crossed that off. This was already the tenth option we'd rejected. The scarcity of resources felt like a mountain, suffocating me.
"Perhaps we can start with the Beast Tamers themselves?" After a moment of contemplation, the Beast Tamer proposed a new idea.
I looked up at him, puzzled. He continued, “Every beast tamer has their own unique beast-taming ability, and their beasts also have their own characteristics. If we can find a way to perfectly combine the two, perhaps we can achieve twice the result with half the effort.”
His words struck me like a bolt of lightning, piercing through my chaotic thoughts. My eyes lit up, and a feeling of excitement welled up within me.
"You mean..." I couldn't wait to hear his specific thoughts.
The beast tamer pointed to the young Nuo and his tamed beast, a lithe snow leopard, who were training. "You see," he said, "the young Nuo's beast taming ability is speed enhancement, and his snow leopard is also known for its speed. If we can design a special training program that targets this, we might be able to maximize their advantages."
I followed his gaze and saw the young boy and his snow leopard racing across the training field, moving so fast that they were almost just afterimages. A sudden inspiration struck me, and a bold idea began to take shape.
“We can tailor training programs to the characteristics of each beast tamer and beast! For example, for strength-type beast tamers, we can increase weight training; for speed-type beast tamers, we can set up obstacle training; and for beast tamers with strong mental power, we can…” I became more and more excited as I spoke, and all sorts of ideas came to mind.
The Beastmaster smiled and said, "That's right! We can categorize the existing resources and then allocate them according to different training programs. This will not only improve training efficiency but also save resources."
We worked together, refining the new training plan. An unprecedented hope rose within us. We seemed to see a path to success unfolding before our eyes.
I stood up and walked to the edge of the training ground, watching the beast tamers training diligently. Some looked dejected, some confused, and some full of hope. I took a deep breath, my heart filled with confidence. I believed that as long as we persevered, we would definitely find the most suitable training methods for them, helping them break through their bottlenecks and become true powerhouses!
“Yao, come and see this…” I turned around excitedly, wanting to share this new discovery with Su Yao, but I saw her walking towards me with her brows furrowed and her expression serious.
“I heard you,” Su Yao’s voice was tinged with coldness. “You’re planning to tailor training programs to the characteristics of each beast tamer and their beast? That’s too risky!”
I was taken aback; I hadn't expected her to object. "But this is exactly what we need right now! Resources are limited, and we must find the most effective method..."
"Effective? I think it's dangerous!" Su Yao interrupted me. "Every beast tamer's physique and the attributes of their beast are different. What if something goes wrong if you blindly formulate a plan like this? Can you bear that responsibility?"
Her tone was sharp, like a thorn piercing my heart. I took a deep breath, trying to suppress my dissatisfaction. "Yao, I know you're worried, but we have no other choice. Rather than waiting to die, we might as well take a gamble! Besides, the Beastmaster agrees with this plan..."
"Meng is only a mid-level beast tamer; his experience is insufficient to support such a major change!" Su Yao's voice grew louder and louder. "Have you considered how much harm your plan would cause to these beast tamers if it failed?"
Her question left me speechless. I understood her concerns, but the distrust in her tone made me feel wronged. "Of course I've thought about it! It's precisely because I've thought about it that I'm even more cautious! We've already rejected over a dozen options; this one is the result of our careful consideration..."
"Deliberately considered? I think you've been blinded by pressure!" Su Yao's face turned bright red with anger, her chest heaving violently. Even in her anger, she possessed a unique charm that stirred a warmth in my heart.
I couldn't help but step forward, gently pinch her chin, and softly said, "Xiao Yao, let's not argue over such a small thing." Her skin was delicate and smooth, and the touch made my heart flutter. Su Yao was taken aback by my action, and a hint of panic flashed in her originally angry eyes, her heart beating faster.
"You..." She wanted to say something, but couldn't get the words out. I looked at her red lips so close to mine, and a surge of emotion welled up inside me.
"Trust me, okay?" I released her chin, gazing at her tenderly. Su Yao lowered her eyes slightly, her long eyelashes trembling like a startled fawn.
She didn't speak, but simply nodded slightly. I took her hand, our fingers intertwined. "We will succeed."
I returned to the training ground and watched the beast tamers. The beast tamers had begun training according to the new plan. Some tamers showed confusion and discomfort, and their beasts appeared restless.
The Beastmaster walked up to me and said in a low voice, "Nongyu, my Firescale Lizard doesn't seem to be adapting well to the new training method..."
My heart sank. Could it be that Su Yao's worries were justified? I looked at the somewhat chaotic scene on the training field, and a sense of unease rose within me.
"Stop training!" I shouted. All eyes turned to me, filled with doubt, confusion, worry... a mix of emotions that enveloped me like an invisible net.
I looked at them and silently prayed: I hope my choice was not wrong... I walked to Su Yao's side. She was looking at me with a complicated look in her eyes, as if she wanted to say something but couldn't.
"I think..." She had just started to speak when she was interrupted by a gasp from afar.
