Chapter 328 The Truth Gradually Becomes Clear and the Alliance is Solidified

Following the Beastmaster, I entered the camp of my mysterious allies. The camp was much larger than I had imagined, with various strange buildings scattered about in an orderly fashion. A peculiar energy fluctuation permeated the air, causing my Beastmaster power to tremble slightly. Along the way, I saw almost no one, only a few figures flashing by at astonishing speed, their faces impossible to discern. This eerie atmosphere intensified my unease.

“This place… isn’t quite what I imagined,” I said, trying to make my voice sound calm.

The Beastmaster simply smiled and remained silent, continuing to lead me deeper into the camp. We arrived at a huge tent, where two guards blocked our path. They were tall and exuded a powerful aura, clearly indicating they were formidable Beastmasters.

"Lord Pu." The two men bowed respectfully to Pu the Beastmaster, then turned their gazes to me, their eyes filled with vigilance.

The Beastmaster nodded slightly and said to them, "This is Nong Yu. I brought him to see the chief."

Upon hearing my name, a hint of surprise flashed in their eyes, but they remained vigilant and silently made way for me.

Upon entering the tent, I saw an elderly man with a hunched back sitting in the center. His face was covered with wrinkles, but his eyes were bright and piercing, as if they could see into people's hearts.

"So you are Nong Yu?" the old man asked slowly, his voice deep and powerful.

"That is indeed me," I replied respectfully.

The old man looked me up and down, then said, "You're quite good. To have such strength at such a young age, your future is limitless."

I became secretly wary. The old man seemed kind, but he gave me a feeling of unfathomable depth. I wasn't blinded by his praise, but instead asked directly, "I want to know, what is your true purpose?"

The old man didn't answer my question directly, but instead asked, "What do you think our purpose is?"

I took a deep breath and voiced my suspicions: "I suspect that you are a force from another world that wants to invade our world."

Upon hearing my words, the old man suddenly burst into laughter, his laughter filled with sarcasm.

"Invasion?" The old man chuckled, then his eyes sharpened. "If we were here to invade, do you think you'd still have a chance to stand here?"

I was speechless for a moment. Indeed, with their strength, if they really wanted to invade, we would probably have been powerless to resist long ago.

"Then what is your purpose?" I asked again.

The old man finally stopped beating around the bush and slowly said, "Our goal is to save this world."

"Save the world?" I could hardly believe my ears.

“That’s right.” The old man nodded. “This world has been corrupted by dark forces. If we don’t stop them in time, the whole world will be destroyed.”

He went on to explain that they came from a hidden, ancient beast-taming sect that had always protected the origins of the beast-taming world. Now, with the origins corrupted by dark forces, they were forced to reveal themselves and seek cooperation to fight the impending crisis. He even showed me images of the corrupted origins, so horrifying that the last shred of doubt in my heart vanished.

"I understand." I breathed a sigh of relief, and the weight on my heart finally lifted.

"So, are you willing to cooperate with us?" The old man looked at me, his eyes full of expectation.

Just as I was about to agree, an angry voice suddenly came from outside the tent: "I don't believe it! This must be their conspiracy!"

I turned my head sharply and saw the Beastmaster standing at the tent entrance, his face ashen and his eyes filled with rage...

The Beastmaster stormed in, pointing at the old man and roaring, "Nonsense! You bunch of unknowns, talking about saving the world, I think you just want to take advantage of the chaos to seize our resources!" His voice was loud, and the atmosphere in the tent instantly became tense.

I frowned. The Beastmaster's reaction was unexpected; its stubborn resistance was making things difficult for me. "Beastmaster, calm down! I saw the source of the corruption with my own eyes; it's not a lie!" I tried to explain, but the Beastmaster wouldn't listen.

"Saw it with your own eyes? Who knows if it's a hoax you've staged together!" He sneered, his eyes full of suspicion. "You so-called guardians, hiding for so many years, suddenly appearing now claiming to save the world—who would believe that!"

“We…” I was about to retort when Su Yao grabbed my hand. She walked to my side and looked at the Beastmaster with a firm gaze. “Beastmaster, I believe Nong Yu. He won’t lie to us.”

Su Yao's words were firm and resolute, and the tent fell silent instantly. She turned her head, gave me an encouraging look, and then gently placed a kiss on my lips. The soft touch and warm breath sent a jolt through me, and all my anxiety and unease vanished.

This sudden action stunned everyone in the tent, including the Beastmaster. I felt Su Yao's gentleness and support, and my heart filled with strength. I took a deep breath and looked at the Beastmaster again, "I know it's hard for you to accept this, but now is not the time for infighting. We must unite and fight the real enemy together."

I replayed the images the old man had shown me and explained in detail everything we knew. My tone was sincere and my logic clear, answering all our questions one by one. I saw the anger on the Beastmaster's face gradually subside, replaced by a hint of hesitation.

“Even if what you’re saying is true,” he finally said, still somewhat unwilling, “why should we believe you? What if this is a trap you’ve set?”

The old man sighed and said slowly, "I know you still have doubts about us, but time waits for no one. The forces of darkness are growing stronger, and we must act as soon as possible." He paused, then continued, "To show our sincerity, we are willing to share all the intelligence and resources we have and fully cooperate with your actions."

Silence fell again in the tent. I knew the Beastmaster was still hesitating; he needed time to process this information and to make a choice.

Just then, the young man with thorium suddenly spoke up: "I believe them!" He walked to my side, his eyes firm. "Brother Nong Yu wouldn't lie to us, and I can feel their sincerity."

The thorium boy's words broke the deadlock and eased the atmosphere in the tent somewhat. I gave him a grateful look, then turned to the Neptune Beastmaster again. "Neptune Beastmaster, I know you're cautious, but now is not the time for hesitation. We must make a choice: continue our infighting, or unite to fight the enemy together?"

The Beastmaster was silent for a moment, then took a deep breath. "Alright, I choose to believe you."

A surge of joy welled up within me, knowing we had finally taken the first step in our cooperation. However, I knew this was only the beginning. Whether the Beast Taming World, after learning the truth, would truly accept this mysterious ally remained an open question.

I looked out at the sky, my heart filled with trepidation. Next, we would proceed to the Beast Taming Realm Council Hall to announce this news. Inside the council hall, the atmosphere was tense, like the calm before a storm; everyone was waiting for someone to break the silence… The Plutonium Envoy wiped the sweat from his brow and whispered:…
