Beast Taming Star Journey
Chapter 323 New Schemes of Allies
Su Yao grasped my hand; her palm was warm and strong. "I know what you're worried about," she said softly, "but right now we have no choice but to trust them."
I nodded, trying to suppress my unease. The Beastmasters and Uranium Strategists were always shrouded in mystery, their plans consistently difficult to fathom. Although my doubts were deep, we had no better option at the moment. Cooperation with our mysterious allies was our only hope against our common enemy.
The next morning, the high-ranking members of the Beast Taming world gathered to discuss the new plan proposed by the Beast Tamer. I showed everyone the map and explained each step of the plan in detail.
The atmosphere in the meeting room was heavy and oppressive. The Beastmaster was the first to stand up and voice his opposition. “This plan is too risky,” he said, pointing to the circuitous route on the map. “Taking such a long detour will not only waste time but also increase our risk of exposure. I believe this is a conspiracy by our mysterious allies; they want to weaken our power.”
His words resonated with many. While previous collaborations with the mysterious allies had yielded some results, their secretive nature made them difficult to fully trust. Many beast tamers were skeptical of this new plan.
“I trust the Beastmasters,” I stepped forward and said. “We’ve cooperated many times before, and they’ve never done anything to harm our interests. This plan may seem risky, but I’m sure they have their reasons.”
My words eased the atmosphere in the room somewhat. My cooperation with my mysterious ally was evident to everyone. The foundation of trust I had built with the Beastmasters also led some to choose to believe in me, and consequently, in this plan.
The young man with thorium also stood up to support me. "I believe in Brother Nongyu," he said. "He is a trustworthy person, and I believe he will not make the wrong judgment."
The thorium boy's words began to shake the resolve of many. Although he was young, he had been in contact with the mysterious allies longer than any of us, and his words carried considerable weight.
“Even so, we cannot take unnecessary risks,” the Plutonium Envoy said. “This plan concerns the fate of the entire Beast Taming World, and we must proceed with caution.” He wiped the sweat from his brow, feeling immense pressure.
I took a deep breath and continued, “I know everyone’s concerns, but we have no time to hesitate now. The enemy is closing in, and if we don’t act quickly, the consequences will be unimaginable. I believe in the Beastmasters, and I believe in this plan. I am willing to lead my team to execute this plan first.”
My words were firm and resolute, filled with determination and confidence. My gaze swept over everyone present, finally settling on the Beastmaster's face. "Beastmaster," I said firmly, "you..."
“Beastmaster Nai,” I said firmly, “you are a highly respected elder in the beastmaster world, and you should understand the current situation. Sticking to the old ways will only lead us to destruction! Beastmaster Pu’s plan is risky, but it is not without the possibility of success. What we need now is unity, not mutual suspicion!”
The Beastmaster slammed his hand on the table, leaping to his feet, his eyes wide with fury. "Unity? Your so-called unity means blindly following the orders of an ally of dubious origin? Nong Yu, you're too young and easily deceived by sweet talk! Let me tell you, I absolutely disagree with this plan!"
His voice echoed in the conference hall, instantly creating a tense atmosphere. I felt Su Yao's hand tighten slightly, a warm force flowing from her palm, as if telling me: Don't be afraid, I support you. I took a deep breath, trying to remain calm. "Beastmaster Nai, I know what you're worried about, but please trust me, and trust the Beastmaster Pu. They are not our enemies, but our allies. This plan is well-thought-out, not a spur-of-the-moment decision!"
"Well-thought-out? I think it's malicious!" The Beastmaster pointed at the route on the map, spitting almost onto my face. "This route bypasses several of our most important defensive strongholds. If the enemy takes advantage of this, the consequences will be unimaginable! Can you guarantee this isn't a trap set by a mysterious ally?"
I met his angry gaze and said, word by word, "I can't guarantee anything, but I know that if we do nothing, we'll just be waiting to die! Instead of sitting here and suspecting each other, let's take a gamble! Beastmaster, you're a veteran who has weathered countless storms, don't you even have this much courage?"
My words struck the Beastmaster like a hammer blow. He paused, his anger fading, replaced by confusion and hesitation. Seizing the opportunity, I continued, "I know this plan is risky, but we are not without a solution. I will personally lead my team, at the forefront, to scout the way for everyone. If we encounter any danger, I will fight to the death to protect everyone."
My words were firm and resolute, filled with determination and confidence. Su Yao's eyes were full of admiration, and she held my hand tightly, giving me strength. I felt her support, as if a warm current flowed through my body. I knew that no matter how many difficulties lay ahead, I would not back down.
After a heated debate, the higher-ups in the Beast Taming world reluctantly agreed to the Beast Tamer's new plan. Although many still harbored doubts, my determination and Su Yao's support gave them hope. Immediately after the meeting, I began preparing for the implementation of the new battle plan.
However, during the preparations, I discovered some unusual circumstances. The supplies and manpower provided by our mysterious allies far exceeded my expectations. The weapons and equipment they provided were of excellent quality and in large quantities, including some advanced weapons I had never seen before. The beast tamers they sent to assist us were also highly skilled, with several even reaching the level of master beast tamers.
All of this made me uneasy. The strength of our mysterious allies seemed far greater than I had imagined. Just how much hidden power did they possess? Was their true purpose truly only to help us fight our common enemy? Looking at the mountains of supplies, a sense of foreboding rose within me…
The boy suddenly ran over, excitedly pointing to a huge transport truck in the distance, and said, "Brother Nongyu, look! So much stuff has arrived again!..."
