Beast Taming Star Journey

Chapter 305 Trapped in an Encirclement

The artifact's light grew ever brighter, and the surrounding mist churned like boiling water. My ominous premonition grew stronger. The power released by the Mercury Beastmaster was like an invisible giant hand, gripping the artifact tightly. The artifact trembled violently, emitting a buzzing sound.

"Not good!" I growled, feeling the air around me freeze, an immense pressure making it almost impossible to breathe. The Mercury Beastmaster was trying to forcibly seize the divine artifact!

"We can't let him succeed!" Su Yao's voice rang in my ears. She was surrounded by dazzling golden light, like a goddess descending to earth. I had never seen her with such a powerful aura, as if she wanted to burn everything.

The mercury tamer's actions thoroughly enraged her.

The enemy's encirclement tightened, forcing us to retreat step by step, with almost no way to escape. The thallium-wielding beast tamer's chilling laughter echoed in our ears: "Nong Yu, just surrender obediently! You can't escape!"

I gritted my teeth, my heart filled with anxiety. At this rate, they would wear us down sooner or later. Just when I was almost in despair, Su Yao suddenly moved.

She let out a clear whistle, and a golden spear appeared in her hand, its tip pointing straight to the sky. A vast and boundless energy erupted from her body, distorting the surrounding air. I had never seen her use such a skill before; the golden light, like a blazing sun, illuminated the entire battlefield.

"Martial God - Heavenly Punishment!" Su Yao's voice seemed to come from beyond the heavens, carrying an irresistible majesty.

The golden spear transformed into a streak of light, instantly shattering the encirclement of the Mercury Beastmasters and creating a huge gap in our path.

"Now!" I exclaimed with delight, immediately commanding my beast to rush towards the gap. The lead boy and the bismuth beast tamer followed closely behind, not daring to hesitate for a moment.

"Trying to escape? Not so easy!" the Mercury Beast Tamer roared, surprised that Su Yao had such a powerful trump card. A ruthless glint flashed in his eyes as he turned to the Thallium Beast Tamer and ordered, "Take your men and pursue them! Capture them all! I'll stop them!"

The thallium beast tamer obeyed and led a group in pursuit of us. The mercury beast tamer himself stood before the breach, radiating a suffocating pressure, like an insurmountable barrier… His cold gaze locked onto me, and he said, word by word, “Nong Yu, you… can’t escape!”

The moment we broke through the encirclement, I felt Su Yao sway slightly. Her attack had clearly taken a heavy toll. I immediately supported her and asked with concern, "Yao'er, are you alright?"

She forced a smile and shook her head: "I'm fine, just... a little exhausted."

I held her hand tightly, a warm current flowing from my palm into her body. She leaned against me, her eyes filled with dependence. I could feel her soft body, smell the fragrance of her hair, and an indescribable sweetness and sense of responsibility welled up inside me. I must protect her, no matter the cost!

"Let's go!" I roared, leading Su Yao, the lead boy, and the bismuth beast tamer as we continued to race forward.

Behind them, the shouts of the beast tamers grew louder and louder: "Don't let them get away! Chase them!"

The Mercury Beastmaster stood blocking the breach, his face terrifyingly grim. He hadn't expected Su Yao to have such a powerful trump card, nor had he expected that they could seize this fleeting opportunity to break through. His body surged with violent energy as he roared furiously, "Nong Yu! You think you can escape? I will tear you to pieces!"

I dared not look back, and could only run forward as fast as I could. I knew that the Mercury Beastmaster's strength was unfathomable, and if he caught up with me, the consequences would be unimaginable.

We raced through dense jungles and climbed steep mountains, with our pursuers relentlessly close behind. I was filled with anxiety; at this rate, they would wear us down sooner or later.

"What should we do?" the lead boy asked breathlessly, his face pale, clearly on the verge of collapse.

The bismuth tamer's expression was grave. He looked around and said, "We must find a way to shake them off, otherwise..."

Before he could finish speaking, suddenly, a powerful force came from ahead, like an invisible barrier, blocking our path.

I was startled and immediately stopped in my tracks. This power... was somewhat similar to the power emanating from the Tin Envoy before, but it was much stronger and more vast, like a towering, unshakeable mountain.

"What is this?" Su Yao's voice trembled slightly as she gripped my hand tightly; I could feel her fear.

I shook my head, indicating that I didn't know either. This force came too suddenly, too strangely, and was completely unpredictable.

Just then, a deep voice rang out in the air: "Those who trespass on forbidden grounds shall die!"

The voice seemed to come from the depths of hell, carrying a chilling aura that sent shivers down one's spine.

My heart sank; a sense of foreboding washed over me. It seemed we were in new trouble…

"Who's playing tricks there?" I shouted, mustering my courage.

As soon as he finished speaking, a tall figure slowly emerged from the mist. He wore a long black robe, a hideous mask on his face, and held a huge black scythe in his hand, exuding a suffocating aura of power.

I gasped; this pressure was even stronger than that of the Mercury Beastmaster!

He slowly raised his head, his eyes beneath the mask gleaming with an eerie green light, like a demon from hell.

"You...all of you must die..."
