Beast Taming Star Journey

Chapter 235 Trial of Power, Limit Leap

The light from the portal faded, and I found myself in a huge circular space.

Beneath my feet was a cold, hard black rock floor, and above me was a deep, endless dome.

A heavy sense of oppression filled the air, as if an invisible hand was tightly gripping the chest, making it difficult to breathe.

In the center of the site, a huge black stone monument stands, resembling a small mountain.

The stone tablet's surface was as smooth as a mirror, reflecting the dim light around it and radiating a chilling aura of oppression.

Is this the strength testing stone? I took a deep breath, struggling against the surrounding pressure, and walked towards it step by step.

Every step felt like walking through a swamp, heavy and slow.

Su Yao stayed close to me, and I could feel the tension emanating from her.

“This pressure…” Su Yao’s voice was somewhat low, “is much stronger than I imagined.”

I nodded and clenched my fist. Indeed, the pressure was far beyond my expectations, as if it were going to crush my bones.

I took a deep breath as I approached the strength testing stone and placed my hand on the cold stone surface.

A strange energy surged into my body, traveled along my meridians, and finally gathered in my dantian.

"Attack it with all your might," a deep voice whispered in my ear.

I turned my head and saw a tall, dignified man standing not far away; it was Professor Barium.

I nodded, mustered all my strength, and punched the strength testing stone with all my might.

With a muffled thud, my fist felt like it had struck a piece of hard steel. A powerful reaction force instantly spread throughout my body, making my arm go numb.

I gritted my teeth and threw another punch. But the result was the same.

Tried again and again, failed again and again.

My muscles started to ache, and my breathing became rapid.

The strength testing stone remained completely still, as if mocking my overestimation of my abilities.

Sweat beaded on my forehead, and a sense of powerlessness welled up inside me.

Am I really going to fail even at this first hurdle? "Don't give up!" Su Yao's voice rang in my ears, firm and powerful. "I believe in you!"

Her voice was like a clear spring, flowing into my parched heart.

I looked up and met her determined gaze, and a glimmer of hope rekindled in my heart.

I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and tried to calm the surging blood and qi in my body.

I recalled my past battles, the scenes of fighting against monsters time and time again, and the moments when I hovered on the edge of life and death.

The pain and despair of the past have now become my motivation, propelling me forward.

I suddenly opened my eyes, a glint of light flashing within them. I felt an unprecedented power awakening within me…

"Drink!" I shouted, and the surging power within me erupted like a volcano.

I felt much lighter, as if I had broken free from the constraints of gravity.

I threw another punch, this time, my fist carrying violent energy, slamming hard into the strength testing stone.

"Boom!" With a loud noise, the entire space shook.

Cracks appeared on the surface of the strength testing stone, spreading out like a spider web.

I felt a powerful recoil coming towards me, but I didn't take a single step back. Instead, I stood firmly in place.

I threw another punch, again and again, each time with all my might.

The cracks on the strength testing stone grew more numerous and deeper until finally, with a "crack," the entire stone tablet shattered, turning into countless fragments scattered across the ground.

A powerful energy surged from the shattered stone tablet, enveloping me.

I feel my body constantly absorbing this energy, and my strength is constantly increasing.

My meridians expanded, my bones strengthened, and my muscles became more solid and powerful.

"Ah!" I couldn't help but let out a long roar, releasing the surging power within me.

"Yu, you're the best! I believe you can surpass your limits!" Su Yao shouted excitedly from the side, her eyes filled with admiration.

I turned to look at her and saw the joyful smile on her face, which filled my heart with warmth and strength.

Instructor Barium walked up to me, a hint of admiration flashing in his eyes. "Not bad, you have successfully passed the Trial of Strength. Your potential far exceeds my expectations."

I took a deep breath to calm my excited heart. "Thank you for your guidance, mentor."

“Next, you will enter the Beast Taming Partner Collaboration Area, where you will face new challenges.” Instructor Barium’s voice became serious again. “Remember, teamwork is the ultimate destiny of a Beast Tamer.”

Su Yao and I exchanged a glance, both seeing the determination in each other's eyes.

We followed Instructor Barium to another portal, where a flash of light transported us to a completely new space.

This is a dense forest, with towering ancient trees blocking out the sun, and the air is filled with the rich fragrance of grass and trees.

The distant roars of beasts sent a chill down one's spine.

"In this area, you will need to work together with your tamed companions to complete a series of tasks." A clear voice rang out, and I turned to see a petite elf standing before us—it was the Cerium Elf.

I released my beast companion, a male lion engulfed in flames. It stood majestically beside me and let out a low roar.

Su Yao also released her beast companion, an elegant white crane, which spread its wings and circled in the air.

"Are you ready?" the cerium elf asked.

"Ready!" Su Yao and I answered in unison.

Just as we were about to begin the test, I suddenly felt that the air around me had become somewhat abnormal, and a strange disturbance was spreading silently.

I glanced at my companion, Lan, who seemed to have noticed something as well; his expression turned serious… “Wait,” I whispered, “it seems…”
