Beast Taming Star Journey

Chapter 162 Demonstrating Results and Uniting Hearts: A Turning Point for Reform

"Howling Moon, unleash your new power!" I said in a deep voice, gently stroking Howling Moon's silver fur. Howling Moon was my first tamed beast, a wind-attribute silver moon wolf. It had been through countless battles with me, and we were already of one mind.

Xiaoyue roared to the sky, and wind elements gathered wildly around it, forming a small tornado. Everyone gasped and retreated, fearing they would be swept into it.

Professor Xi sneered, "A mere trick!" I smiled slightly, ignoring his mockery. Xiaoyue's new ability wasn't simply about creating tornadoes.

I pointed to a huge rock in the center of the arena and said to Xiaoyue, "Xiaoyue, use Wind Blade Cut!"

A glint flashed in Xiaoyue's eyes, and the tornado instantly compressed, transforming into countless sharp wind blades that shot towards the boulder like a sudden storm.

With a deafening roar, the boulder was shattered into countless fragments, scattering across the ground. A gasp of astonishment erupted from the crowd.

Nickel jumped up excitedly and shouted, "That's amazing! Brother Nongyu, your beast taming is incredible!"

Many students and some young teachers around me have also begun to show great interest in my reform ideas.

They whispered among themselves, discussing Xiaoyue's new abilities and the new training methods I had proposed. I continued to demonstrate Xiaoyue's other new abilities.

It can control wind direction, form wind walls for defense, and even fly briefly. I developed these abilities in the new teaching facility using new training methods.

"This... how is this possible?" Professor Xi's face turned ashen as he stared at Xiaoyue in disbelief.

He originally thought I only knew some unorthodox methods, but he never expected that I could actually improve the strength of my beast-taming partners.

I walked up to Professor Xi and calmly said, "Professor Xi, facts speak louder than words. The new training method allows our beast-taming partners to unleash their full potential. Isn't this beneficial to the academy and to all beast-tamers?"

Professor Xi's face was grim, and he remained silent. The conservative teachers beside him were also silent, their faces filled with shock and unease. Dean Tie had been silently observing everything.

He had initially been hesitant about my reforms, but now a hint of appreciation flashed in his eyes. I knew that my reform plan was gradually gaining popularity.

I walked over to Xiaoyue, gently stroked its fur, and whispered, "We succeeded, Xiaoyue." Xiaoyue let out a low growl, as if in response to me.

I raised my head, my gaze sweeping over everyone before finally settling on Professor Xi's face, a barely perceptible smile playing on my lips.

“Professor Xi,” I began slowly, “now we should talk about how to promote the new training methods throughout the entire academy.”

I deliberately raised my voice to make sure everyone around me could hear me clearly. I saw Professor Xi's face turn even uglier, as if he had swallowed a fly.

He clenched his fists, his lips trembling, as if he wanted to say something, but he held back.

The murmurs among the crowd grew louder; some supported my reforms, while others expressed concern. I knew that the path of reform was never smooth sailing.

Just then, I felt a soft hand gently rest on my shoulder. A familiar, sweet fragrance wafted into my nose. I turned my head and saw Su Yao.

A gentle smile graced her face, her eyes filled with love. "You are truly amazing," she whispered in my ear.

Her warm breath brushed against my ear, sending a shiver through me. I smiled at her, took her hand, and gave her a reassuring look.

I know that no matter what difficulties I encounter, she will stand by my side and support me. However, good times are always fleeting.

Professor Xi, his face grim, led several conservative teachers to Dean Tie and began speaking in hushed tones. I noticed that Dean Tie's expression also gradually grew serious.

I can guess what they're talking about; they're simply trying to stop my reforms and protect their vested interests.

The crowd gradually quieted down, and all eyes were fixed on Dean Tie. I knew a storm was brewing.

Professor Xi delivered a passionate speech, accusing my reforms of being fanciful, disrupting the college's order, and even endangering the safety of the students.

His words resonated with many conservative teachers, who accused me and tried to portray me as a sinner against the college. I listened quietly without refuting them.

I know that saying anything now is futile. I just need to wait, wait for Dean Tie to make the final decision.

Dean Tie remained silent for a long time, his gaze shifting back and forth between Professor Xi and me. I could sense his inner struggle.

He was a cautious man, unwilling to make changes easily. Finally, he spoke. "Nong Yu," his voice was deep and powerful, "come to my office with me."

My heart sank. I knew a difficult test awaited me. I took a deep breath and turned to look at Su Yao.

She gave me an encouraging look, as if to say, "I believe in you." I squeezed her hand tightly, then turned and followed Dean Tie to his office.

My steps were steady, but my heart was filled with trepidation. The office door slowly closed, shutting me out of the outside world.

I stood in front of Dean Tie's desk, waiting for him to speak. The room was silent; I could hear my own heartbeat.

Dean Tie raised his head, his gaze sharp as he stared at me. "Nong Yu..." he paused, "...you..."
