The mist surged and churned, seemingly alive, swirling around me and swallowing all light. I gripped Su Yao's hand tightly and stepped into this unknown territory. Su Yao grasped my hand in return. Her hand was a little cold, but unusually firm: "Don't worry, I'm fine."

We groped our way forward, the surroundings eerily silent except for the faint sounds of our breathing and the rustling of our clothes.

I walked for an unknown amount of time, but all I could see was a vast expanse of white, as if I were in a state of chaos. I tried to calm myself down; it was precisely in times like these that I couldn't panic.

I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and focused all my attention on connecting with Xiao Jin.

"Yu, be careful!" I nodded and summoned Little Gold as well, ready for battle.
