Beast Taming Star Journey

Chapter 131 A Heart of Protection, Deepest Emotions

"Die!" Lei Yushou grinned, raising his weapon high, and a dazzling light suddenly erupted! The light was like a bolt of lightning, carrying destructive power, heading straight for Su Yao.

My heart felt as if it were being gripped tightly by an invisible hand, making it difficult to breathe. Su Yao clearly felt this powerful force as well. She tried to dodge, but the Thunder Beastmaster's attack was too fast; she had no time to react.

With a loud bang, Su Yao was sent flying and crashed heavily to the ground. Bright red blood spilled from the corner of her mouth, staining her clothes.

"Yao!" I screamed, my eyes bloodshot. An unprecedented rage surged from the depths of my heart, as if it would burn me to ashes.

I frantically tried to break free from the invisible force binding me, but it was like an ant trying to shake a tree; I couldn't budge it an inch.

I watched helplessly as Lei Yushou approached Su Yao step by step, his ferocious smile as terrifying as a demon.

I felt like my blood was about to freeze, and a deep sense of powerlessness swept over me.

"It's over!" Lei Yushou grinned as he raised his weapon, preparing to deliver a fatal blow to Su Yao.

At this critical moment, a powerful force suddenly erupted from my body.

I felt as if my body was about to explode, a surge of heat coursing through my veins, and my consciousness became blurred.

I seemed to hear the roars of beasts, and also the howling of wind and thunder.

I felt myself connect with some powerful being, and a continuous stream of power flowed into my body.

My eyes turned crimson, my hair moved without wind, and golden rays of light surrounded my body.

I felt I possessed world-destroying power, capable of annihilating any enemy standing in my way. "Roar!" A deafening roar echoed throughout the entire space.

A gigantic figure appeared behind me, its body covered in golden scales, and its enormous eyes gleaming with a terrifying light.

It is my tamed beast companion, the Howling Moon Wolf! It sensed my anger and pain and burst out of my mental world.

The Howling Moon Wolf roared to the sky, and a powerful pressure instantly enveloped the entire space. The Thunder Beastmaster was stunned by this pressure, and his weapon fell to the ground.

He stared in horror at the Howling Moon Wolf, his face filled with disbelief. "What kind of monster is this?!" the Thunder Beastmaster exclaimed.

I ignored his exclamation; only one thought occupied my mind: to protect Su Yao. "Howling Moon, attack!" I pointed at the Thunder Beastmaster and said coldly.

Upon receiving my command, the Howling Moon Wolf transformed into a golden bolt of lightning and instantly pounced on the Thunder Beastmaster. The Thunder Beastmaster had no time to react and was sent flying by the Howling Moon Wolf.

I seized the opportunity to break free of the forces binding me and came to Su Yao's side. I gently held her in my arms; her body was so light, so light that it broke my heart.

"Yao, how are you?" I asked anxiously. Su Yao weakly opened her eyes, looked at me, and gave a forced smile.

"I'm fine..." she whispered, then her body went limp and she fell into my arms. I could feel her body temperature, her breath, and her heartbeat.

My heart gradually calmed down. "Don't worry, I will protect you," I whispered in her ear as I held her tightly.

Suddenly, the inheritance space began to shake violently, and the symbols on the jade completely disappeared.

An aged voice rang in my ears: "The inheritance is complete. You have gained the power of the Guardian Heart."

I looked up and saw an old man in a white robe standing in front of me. "You are..." I looked at him in confusion.

The old man didn't answer my question. Instead, he gave me a meaningful look and said, "Your fate will change from this moment on..."

Su Yao leaned weakly against my chest, her breathing shallow, like that of a wounded little bird.

Her lips trembled slightly, and her eyes held a hint of allure and dependence I had never seen before. She whispered, "Yu, you make me feel so safe."

I could feel her soft body pressed against my chest, and I could clearly hear her heartbeat.

A strong protective instinct welled up inside me. I had never wanted to protect someone so intensely before, and was even willing to give everything for them.

I gently stroked her hair and whispered comfortingly, "It's alright, I'm here, I'll protect you."

Just then, Lei Yushouzhe got up from the ground, wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, and his eyes flashed with a sinister light.

He glared at me fiercely, as if he wanted to devour me alive. I knew he wouldn't let it go.

"You little brat, how dare you ruin my plans!" he said through gritted teeth. "You think you can protect her like this? You're too naive!"

I stared at him coldly, without saying a word. My attention was entirely focused on Su Yao; I had to ensure her safety.

Suddenly, the Beastmaster changed his strategy. He stopped attacking me and turned to the walls of the trial space.

The weapon in his hand gleamed with an eerie light, and energy attacks bombarded the weak points in space.

The space began to tremble violently, cracks appeared, and it seemed poised to collapse at any moment. A chill ran down my spine; he actually intended to destroy the trial space!

If space collapses, we'll all be swept into the spatial turbulence, and the consequences will be unimaginable. I have to stop him! "What do you think you're doing?!" I roared.

The Thunder Beastmaster smiled sinisterly: "I'll bury you all here!"

While remaining vigilant against the attacks of the Thunder Beastmaster, I also devoted some of my power to repairing the spatial rifts.

My beast-taming companion, the Howling Moon Wolf, also sensed the danger. It let out a deafening roar and pounced on the Thunder Beast Tamer.

In an instant, the entire space was filled with the sounds of colliding energy. The Howling Moon Wolf and the Thunder Beastmaster were locked in fierce combat, while I was working hard to repair the cracks in the space.

I felt my strength rapidly dwindling, but I knew I couldn't give up. I had to protect Su Yao, I had to protect this trial space.

Just when I was about to give up, the spatial tremors suddenly stopped, and the cracks stopped spreading.

I looked up and saw an old man in a white robe standing in front of me. It was Elder Feng, who had appeared before.

He held a scepter in his hand, which emitted a soft light that enveloped the entire space.

"Young man, you have done very well." Elder Feng looked at me with a hint of appreciation in his eyes. "You have passed the trial of the Guardian Heart."

Before I could respond, Elder Feng vanished. At the same time, Thunder Beastmaster was also blasted away by an invisible force, crashing heavily to the ground, unconscious.

I breathed a sigh of relief; it was finally over. I looked down at Su Yao in my arms. Her face was still pale, but her breathing had become much more steady.

"Yao, we're safe," I said softly. Su Yao slowly opened her eyes, looked at me, and a smile appeared on her lips. Just then, the space around them changed again.

The scene before us distorted and warped, eventually turning into a fog. I felt lost and completely disoriented.

"This is..." I looked around at the scene in confusion, a feeling of unease welling up in my heart.

Su Yao also sensed a hint of unease. She gripped my hand tightly and whispered, "Yu, be careful..." I held her hand firmly and stepped into the mist...

"Wait!" I suddenly stopped in my tracks, my gaze fixed on a blurry outline deep in the mist.
