Beast Taming Star Journey

Chapter 128 The Power of Beast Taming, Passionate Battle

Su Yao's hand was icy cold but strong, firmly pulling me up. I was suspended in mid-air, below me a bottomless abyss of darkness, cold sweat soaking my back. "Thank..." I was about to say thank you when I realized that what was holding me was not Su Yao's hand, but a thick vine.

I looked up and saw Su Yao standing on the edge of the cliff, holding a long, emerald-green whip in her hand. The end of the whip was the vine wrapped around my arm.

She pulled me back from the edge of the abyss with a strong tug. "Be careful, Nong Yu," Su Yao's voice carried a hint of reproach, "Don't get distracted."

I steadied myself and patted my chest, still shaken. "Thank you, Su Yao." This illusion was indeed bizarre; it could even deceive my senses.

I took a deep breath and refocused my attention on the trial before me. This first trial, the illusionary realm trial, was far more difficult than I had imagined.

We encountered all sorts of illusionary attacks: ferocious monsters, deadly traps, and even the things we feared most deep within our hearts.

I had to stay vigilant at all times and cooperate with Su Yao to barely withstand wave after wave of attacks.

“This illusion seems to be intensifying,” I said, wiping the sweat from my brow. “We must find a way to break it as soon as possible.”

Su Yao nodded, her gaze sweeping over the surroundings. "Look," she said, pointing to a giant tree in front of her, "the patterns on that tree seem rather unusual."

We walked up to the giant tree and carefully observed the patterns on its trunk. These patterns were intricate and complex, resembling some kind of ancient script or a mysterious pattern.

I tried touching the patterns with my hands, and a strange energy flowed into my body through my fingertips. Suddenly, a flash of inspiration struck me, and I remembered my beast-taming ability.

I closed my eyes, concentrated, and felt the presence of my beast companion, Xiao Jin, with whom I had a contract of equality.

Xiao Jin is a golden monkey with exceptional perception and analytical abilities.

"Little Jin," I called out in my mind, "Can you sense the information contained in these patterns?" The next moment, I felt a stream of information flow into my mind.

It's Xiao Jin's feedback! It has cracked the secret of these patterns and passed the information to me.

These patterns are not words or patterns, but a special energy code. By touching these patterns in a specific order, the illusion can be broken.

I opened my eyes and, following Xiao Jin's guidance, touched the patterns on the tree trunk one by one.

As the last pattern was touched, the surrounding scenery began to distort and deform, then shattered like a mirror.

We returned to the high platform, and Miss Yun looked at us with a hint of surprise in her eyes. "Congratulations, you have passed the first trial."

I turned to look at Su Yao, about to speak, but noticed something strange in her eyes. Her gaze was fixed on me, filled with…admiration? And…desire?

She unconsciously moved closer to me, her soft breasts gently brushing against my arm, and whispered, "Yu, you're so amazing..." Su Yao's breath sprayed onto my neck, warm and moist.

I shifted uncomfortably, and her breasts pressed even closer to my arm; the soft touch sent a shiver down my spine.

This sudden intimacy left me somewhat bewildered. I instinctively looked at her, only to meet a pair of eyes filled with affection.

"Su Yao, you..." I was about to speak when I realized my voice was a little hoarse.

She didn't speak, but looked at me with an expression I had never seen before, an expression that contained admiration, longing, and a hint of shyness.

A faint blush rose on her cheeks, making her look exceptionally charming in the moonlight.

"Yu," she called my name softly again, her voice as gentle as a feather, tickling my heart, "You're really amazing..."

I awkwardly avoided her gaze, forcing myself to focus on the trial before me.

“Let’s get through the trial first,” I said, my tone slightly stiff. “There are people waiting for us outside.” As soon as I finished speaking, I heard a commotion in the distance.

I turned my head and saw Lei Yushou leading a group of his men charging towards us. Their faces were fierce, clearly indicating that they were up to no good.

"Damn it, they still came!" Su Yao cursed under her breath, her eyes instantly turning sharp.

She released my arm, swung her long whip, and a beam of emerald green light shot towards Lei Yushouzhe and the others.

"Nong Yu, you continue your trials, leave this to me!" Su Yao's voice was full of determination and confidence.

I nodded, took a deep breath, and refocused my attention on the trial before me.

I know this is not the time for sentimentality. I must pass the trial as soon as possible in order to help Su Yao withstand the attacks of the Thunder Beastmaster.

I closed my eyes and felt the connection with Xiao Jin once again.

Xiao Jin's feedback tells me that the second trial is on this high platform, and I need to find the hidden mechanism to activate it.

I began to carefully observe every detail on the platform, hoping to find some clues.

Suddenly, my gaze fell on a stone slab in the center of the platform. This slab was slightly different from the others, as it was engraved with some strange symbols.

I walked over and touched the symbols with my hands. A familiar energy flowed into my body through my fingertips. I knew this was the mechanism to unlock the second trial!

Just as I was about to press those symbols, I heard Su Yao let out a muffled groan.

I turned my head sharply and saw that the Thunder Beastmaster had broken through Su Yao's defenses and was launching a fierce attack on her.

"Su Yao!" My heart tightened, and I instinctively wanted to rush over to help her. "Don't come any closer!" Su Yao shouted, "Concentrate on the trial, I can hold on!"

Although her voice was firm, I could hear a hint of pain in it. I gritted my teeth and forced myself to refocus my attention on the symbols in front of me.

I knew that only by passing the trial as soon as possible could I truly help Su Yao. I took a deep breath and, following Xiao Jin's guidance, pressed the symbols on the stone slab one by one.

As the last symbol was pressed, a dazzling light suddenly appeared in the center of the platform, enveloping my entire body...

“Yu…” Su Yao’s voice grew weaker and weaker, and my heart was filled with anxiety and unease.

I felt as if I were being sucked in by a powerful force, and everything went dark... Then, a cold voice rang in my ear, "The inheritance is about to begin..."
