Rebirth: I Became a Maggot 2
Chapter 96 No drama, no plot
I couldn't help but laugh bitterly; how could I refuse?
"Hehehe, I think I'd better not, I have other things to do." I politely declined.
Seriously, you want me to go find some flies to have some fun? This is disgusting! I'd rather die.
My inner voice says no. Can't we just have a normal conversation? I'm still a child. There are even female flies here. Can't we talk about something positive and uplifting?
"What else could you possibly be doing in town? Isn't it just for fun?" the fly asked enthusiastically.
I tried to keep my distance from that guy, after all, he had just eaten that rotten flesh, and if he sprayed it on me while talking, I would feel disgusted.
As I said before, I don't know why, whether it's bad character or bad luck, the things I least want to happen to me always seem to happen to me.
That fly was incredibly friendly, completely disregarding whether I could stand it or not, it crawled right up to me and continued, "Do you have something else to say?"
As I said those words, saliva flew towards me, and even bits of unchewed meat flew at me.
Help! I just want to go to town quietly and then take a bus to the city. Why is it so difficult?
Can't we just sit in the car in peace? Do we even know each other? You just came over like that? And then you spat that damn bits of meat in my face.
I was absolutely furious and yelled angrily, "Get away from me!"
While yelling, he started wiping the bits of flesh off my face. I could smell a stench coming from the flesh; I couldn't tell if it was his bad breath or the smell of the flesh.
You then easily shook off that small piece of meat.
I was so disgusted I almost threw up my breakfast. Was this guy doing it on purpose?
I glared at that guy, quite annoyed.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to," the fly said, looking very embarrassed.
"Alright, I really have something to do in town. I don't want to go to that kind of place with you, and I'm not going to go on a one-stop service with you. I just want to go to the city." I shouted angrily, genuinely afraid that the damn guy would cause some trouble again.
The guy wanted to say something more, but he held back after moving his lips.
At this moment, Dafu asked curiously, "What does 'one dragon' mean?"
Damn it, I completely forgot about Dafu when I got angry. We used to talk in hushed tones, and usually when we went to do a full-service massage, we just went without saying a word.
It's an open secret, but I actually yelled it out in anger, and Dafu overheard it. How am I supposed to explain this?
Faced with Dafu's question, I glared at the fly beside me with annoyance and then explained to Dafu, "How should I put it? It goes back a long, long time, and I can't explain it in a short time. Anyway, 'One Dragon' is a very comfortable activity, similar to a form of exercise, and also a kind of massage that can instantly refresh us when we are tired."
I really didn't know how to explain it, so I could only make up some random explanation to get by for now.
The stray dog finally calmed down, and we quietly enjoyed the breeze, feeling the speed it brought.
At this speed, we should arrive soon. I just hope nothing goes wrong along the way.
Just as I was fantasizing about getting into town and taking the bus to the city so I could put my plan into action...
Stopped suddenly.
Had we arrived? I looked around, but no, we were still in the village. It was just that we might have arrived at another village, perhaps one of the villages on the way to the town.
Our journey took us behind that village. Looking towards the village now, we could see the houses lined up neatly in a row, and behind those houses were mostly trees.
There was a small ditch between us and the trees, and the village was just across the ditch.
We'll stop here now, behind that ditch, looking at the woods on the other side.
"What's wrong? Why did you stop?" I asked, puzzled.
"Little Black is looking at the goddess," the fly on Little Black's back explained.
I only found out now that this stray dog is called Xiao Hei.
"Goddess? What goddess?" I asked, puzzled.
"It's that female dog over there, the white one," the fly explained to me.
So I looked towards the woods across the way, and sure enough, there was a little white dog playing happily in the woods, I don’t know if it was catching bugs or fleas.
As if sensing Xiao Hei's gaze, the little white female dog, who had been playing happily just moments before, gradually quieted down and looked at Xiao Hei.
Perhaps realizing that his goddess was watching him, Xiao Hei quickly tried to leave. He was too embarrassed to stay after being caught peeping.
"Hey Blackie, why are you running? That little female dog seems to like you a lot too," Dafu suddenly said from behind me.
"Hmm?" Almost all of us flies turned our gaze toward Dafu.
Even Xiao Hei stopped, as if Da Fu's words had struck the softest spot in its heart.
"How did you know?" the fly behind me asked curiously.
"Yes...yes, how did you know?" Xiao Hei asked nervously.
"Because I'm female too, and the way she looked at you was clearly full of curiosity. Do you often secretly look at that female dog?" Dafu asked after explaining.
"How...how did you know?" Little Black cried out nervously, as if its tail had been stepped on.
“You have to trust your maternal instincts,” Dafu said earnestly.
Holy crap, when did Dafu become such a sentimental fly? When did he learn so much? Are animal instincts all that powerful? Do they understand certain things at certain times?
Could there be some kind of inherited memory? I shook my head violently. Damn, this isn't a fantasy novel, how could there be such a thing?
But what's with Dafu's seemingly logical explanation? I just can't figure it out. It can't possibly be that mysterious fly language again, can it?
Faced with Da Fu's persuasion, Xiao Hei seemed a little tempted, but hesitated to take the first step. It seemed that he was struggling with something in his heart. Could it be because of his background?
Is it going to be another melodramatic plot like "because you're a princess and I'm just a stray dog"?
"She's a princess, and I'm just a sick stray dog. How could I possibly be worthy of her?" the little black dog said in a very insecure manner.
Holy crap, how come I encounter such melodramatic plots everywhere? Is it really true that without melodrama, there is no plot?
What are they trying to do?
