Rebirth: I Became a Maggot 2

Chapter 80 Step by Step, Like a Fly

"You're so smart, you're amazing!" Dafu said happily.

"You understand?" the big fly asked Dafu, puzzled.

"No," Dafu said.

"Why are you praising me if I don't understand?" the big fly said, quite annoyed.

“If you say you didn’t understand, wouldn’t that be saying you’re stupid? Besides, Yi Mao Er has already explained so much, we should at least give him a shout-out,” Da Fu said earnestly.

I honestly don't know if Dafu's seriousness was an act or if he really was that serious about everything he did.

"Hahaha, 12 cents explained it so well!" the big fly suddenly shouted.

"Did you understand?" Dafu asked, puzzled.

"No," the big fly replied.

"I don't understand why you're so happy?" Dafu asked, puzzled.

"It makes me look smart and understand, and besides, they've said so much, I can't just do nothing," the big fly said matter-of-factly.

I……

I'm still here, and these two are just chatting so carelessly? Don't they know that these kinds of things shouldn't be said?

And you guys were so blunt, how am I supposed to think about it? I'm so upset.

"That's so well said!" the little fly exclaimed happily.

Like father, like son! There are children around, can't you just talk properly?

I swear I'll never try to show off in front of those two again. This was a real slap in the face, a resounding slap.

"Alright, what time is it? You're still chatting here. How big is your heart? You're still running for your lives." I said, quite annoyed.

They finally quieted down after I said that. It was probably because of the competition; even if they were caught, they would only lose their eligibility to compete.

But I don't think so. I'm going to go out and find that mysterious girl. My goal isn't to just sit around in this small mountain village and wait to die. I have bigger dreams, I have poetry and distant places to explore.

Okay, I admit I'm being dramatic. Anyway, I don't want to fail here. If I fail here, before I even get out, it will be a huge blow to my confidence.

So now I'm not just fighting for Dafu's victory, but also for my own confidence.

"Let's go, let's hurry up and get out of here. The longer we delay, the more dangerous it will be for us," I said to them.

"Why? Can't we hide at night and go out? Anyway, there's no time limit for the competition," the big fly asked, puzzled.

"Wait until night? If we wait until night, we're really doomed. By then, everyone will have been caught, and all the grasshoppers will come after us. Do you think we have much of a chance?" I said, speechless.

"Right now, only a small number of grasshoppers are looking for us, so we need to find a breakthrough quickly. No matter what, we have to get out of here first, otherwise we're really doomed," I explained to them.

"Then which way should we go? We don't even know which way we're going, we don't even know where we came from," the big fly said, quite frustrated.

"I have a plan. Just follow me. Don't wander off and don't cause any trouble," I instructed him very carefully, afraid that something might happen on the way.

"Oh," Dafu replied obediently.

"Okay, don't worry," the big fly said with great approval.

That's why I gave you so many instructions and instructions. How can I trust your character? But since things have come to this, I can't just stick to my guns. Am I supposed to just leave this guy here?

So I flew with them toward the final destination, trying my best to avoid dangers along the way, while they pursued places that were impossible to reach.

Sometimes they would pause for a while to check their surroundings and wait for the patrolling grasshoppers to leave before continuing their flight.

Although we flew very fast, the actual distance we flew was not very far; it was even slower than crawling.

There's nothing we can do about it; there are just so many grasshoppers.

We proceeded cautiously and step by step until we finally reached the finish line. As long as we flew forward, we would have passed this hurdle.

Looking at the victory that was right in front of us, we finally made it through. As long as we broke through, we would have won. We were extremely happy and just about to rush out.

Suddenly, a bee scurried out from the leaves of a cabbage not far from us and rushed toward the target.

We watched in astonishment as the wasp swooped in. How could we have missed it? It wasn't far from us! It was incredibly well hidden!

What's even more outrageous is how long has this guy been hiding?

Victory was within reach, but suddenly the bee fell to the ground.

Suddenly it fell down, and before we could even react, the bee had fallen to the ground.

We were completely stunned. Was there an ambush here? Had they been lying in wait all along?

The bee that had fallen to the ground was motionless, whether it was stunned or something else. A thread on its legs slowly pulled the bee towards the back of the cabbage.

We didn't see any other grasshoppers or spiders come out from beginning to end. That's too weird!

Before we could recover from that initial shock, we saw more than a dozen bees fly forward, determined to force their way through.

As the dozen or so bees charged, suddenly a large number of butterflies, dragonflies, and flies flew out from the surrounding cabbage leaves and rushed towards that direction.

I was wondering why I hadn't seen them along the way. It turns out that apart from those who were captured earlier, almost all of them have now arrived here.

Seeing the swarm of insects rushing past, I thought I'd finally make it through, right? There are so many! Even if I were a machine gun, I couldn't possibly catch them all, could I?

Besides, yours is radiation, there are bound to be some that slip through the net, right?

But reality slapped me hard one time.

I saw a large number of insects rushing towards the exit, and they were about to break through. Even the cabbages around me had a lot of insects crawling out, probably all wanting to rush out with the same idea.

But at that moment, suddenly, for some unknown reason, all the insects that were about to rush out were suddenly surrounded by a web. This was no ordinary web; it was a spider web.

They wiped out the entire colony of insects in one fell swoop, not a single one was spared; they were all caught in an instant.
