Rebirth: I Became a Maggot 2

We finally found Daifuku, but a problem stopped us: how to rescue Daifuku, who was trapped inside the jar.

I racked my brains but couldn't come up with a solution, while the Black Widow used a method without even thinking.

The can was suspended in mid-air, and when we let go, it finally fell to the ground and shattered, freeing Dafu.

But to our surprise, the sound was incredibly loud in the middle of the night, especially in the extremely quiet conditions. It was undoubtedly the sound of a bomb.

Just as I was about to rush up to check on Dafu, I heard a sound from upstairs, along with the sound of someone getting out of bed and turning on the light.

We immediately rushed under the bed, and Dafu quickly crawled inside as well.

While Old Wang was searching for his head under the bed, we finally managed to sneak in safely, thus escaping a disaster.

"Are you alright?" I asked Da Dafu beside me with great concern.

"It's nothing," Dafu replied happily.

I looked at Dafu's body and found that apart from some minor scratches, there was nothing wrong with it. However, for some reason, half of its tail was broken off.

But none of that is a big deal. Maggots usually grow their tails back overnight, so it's not a big deal. At least Dafu was finally rescued.

Just then, Old Wang suddenly found a flashlight somewhere and shone it inside, trying to find out why the Lao Gan Ma glass bottle had broken.

We immediately crawled inside. Luckily, Old Wang had put a lot of things under his bed, which made it easy for us to hide.

There were two suitcases inside, we didn't know what they contained, two cardboard boxes and a small floor fan. We quickly hid behind whatever we could find, as long as we didn't get found by Old Wang.

We had just taken cover when Old Wang's flashlight shone inside like a searchlight. I don't know where he bought this powerful light, but it was so bright, just like the searchlights in prisons.

"What happened? How did this perfectly good bottle break?" Old Wang wondered to himself as he searched for what had caused the bottle to break.

Old Wang picked up some and looked at them casually for a while, then said with great frustration, "Are spiders this smart now? They can even find food in bottles."

It seems that Old Wang thought the maggots he caught were eaten by the spider, after all, the spider silk on the bottle was the most obvious evidence.

After a while, Old Wang slowly went back, and then the sound of a blanket being pulled up came from the bed.

It was probably too late, or maybe Old Wang had drunk too much and was too lazy to cause any more trouble, so he just went to sleep. That's how we managed to escape with our lives.

"Alright, you've found the person you were looking for. I'm leaving now," said the Thief King Wang Qiang as he crawled over.

"Thank you so much for your help this time. I really don't know how to express my gratitude. I will definitely help you if you ever need anything in the future." I truly didn't know how to thank you enough, so I said with great gratitude.

"No need, since you're Xiao Hei's friend," said the Thief King Qiang casually.

I think that means they don't appreciate my help. What do you mean? Aren't maggots just as unpopular?

Of course, since they were so polite in refusing, I couldn't just be shameless and tell the truth. So I politely said, "Thank you anyway."

"Alright, stop with your hypocrisy. If thanking you was useful, what would you need food for? Okay, your little girlfriend is rescued, so we're leaving now," the Black Widow said in a very strange tone.

I don't know what I did to offend that Black Widow. Why does she dislike me so much? It's like I stole her man.

“Alright, you’ve found what you were looking for. Let’s part ways here. Be careful on your journey ahead. It’s best to go back. It’s not time for you to come out yet. At least you should turn into a fly before you come out.” The little black cat crawled over and said to me.

What Xiao Hei said wasn't entirely unreasonable. In fact, if it were just an ordinary maggot, Xiao Hei's suggestion would be quite good. But I'm different. I'd rather die than go back to the toilet.

So that suggestion was useless to me, and I replied, "Take care on your journey, goodbye."

After all, Xiao Hei has already helped me so much. The rest of the journey is up to me. I don't even know if I can find enough meat outside to turn us into flies.

"Alright, then we're off." The little black spider spat out a strand of spider silk and said.

"Okay, goodbye," I said to the little black dog.

The little black guy and the black widow were like a divine couple, rushing upwards on the spider silk.

I was so envious! Even being reborn as a spider would be a wonderful thing. Not only can it climb fast, but it can also swing freely in the air.

And look at me, it's a tragedy within a tragedy. I don't even have hands or feet, and I'm just a creature living at the lowest level.

After watching the two spiders leave, I asked Dafu behind me, "Weren't you in the ant nest? How did you get caught by humans?"

Hearing my question, Dafu said with a wronged expression, "After you were captured, I was very worried and went to look for you with the help of flying ants. Later I found out that you were carried away by a dog, so I went to look for you again, but it was too dark and I bumped into a human, so I was picked up."

Dafu said simply, "Although it sounds simple, I know it's definitely not that easy. After all, I know how many difficulties I've encountered along the way."

Now that we've rescued Dafu, we should go out and find food. We need to find some rotten flesh to eat as soon as possible, or we'll starve to death before we're killed by danger.

"There's more. The Black Ant Queen told me to tell you that if we find you, we should go back to her. As a thank you for our previous actions, they're willing to give us food until we turn into flies," Dafu said to me as if he had just remembered something.

"Really?" I said excitedly. My biggest worry right now was food. I didn't expect the ant queen to be so kind as to feed us.

If I could become a fly, wouldn't it be much easier to find my phone? Once I found it, things would be much easier.

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go back quickly!" I said to Dafu and climbed out of the house.
