My Apocalypse: Infinite Rewinds

"!" Li Kai gently slapped his own face, trying his best to stay alert and in top form.

Time turned once again amidst death. The second time, unable to dodge in time, Li Kai was accidentally kicked in the chest by a zombie, resulting in all his ribs being broken.

The third time, while attacking, his arm was accidentally bitten by a zombie and he lost it! The fourth time, he died from poisoning. The fifth time, one small mistake after another led to his death.

The number of deaths kept increasing, the mistakes he made gradually decreased, and his understanding of zombies deepened. Most terrifyingly, his reaction speed was almost instantaneous. By the tenth time he fought a zombie, Li Kai was extremely calm and composed, showing no sign of tension.

"Too slow, far too slow!" Li Kai dodged the zombies' attacks with disdain, easily avoiding them no matter where they came from.

"Hurry up, where did all the strength that killed me go?" Li Kai casually stepped in front of the zombie, facing it head-on.

"Roar!" The zombie roared, opening its huge mouth. From its disordered breathing, it was clear that it was afraid.

"Ara ara, your body is ugly enough, but I didn't expect your mouth to be so foul!" Li Kai suddenly raised his arm, instantly shutting its mouth.

"Die!" As the zombie howled in agony, Li Kai swiftly plunged the dagger into its heart.

"Thump!" The zombie that had previously tortured and killed Li Kai dozens of times collapsed to the ground, without the slightest struggle.

"Is it over?" Li Kai looked at the zombie lying on the ground and sighed deeply. The moment he plunged the dagger into the zombie's heart, a strange sense of loss suddenly welled up in his heart, as if something was missing.

And so he stood there quietly, quietly, quietly, and then he placed the bloodstained blade against his own neck.

"Am I being a bit stupid?" Li Kai opened his eyes and looked at the room, which was exactly the same as before. He actually chose to commit suicide and return here. He had finally managed to escape this cycle of death. What drove him to make such a choice? What made him make such a huge decision?

"Haha, this is definitely the best feeling!" Li Kai laughed heartily from inside the house, while in front of him lay a wounded zombie.

"You tortured and killed me so many times before, how could one death erase all that pain and those experiences?!" He gently wiped the blood from the dagger, his face covered in gore, a terrifying aura emanating from his body—intense resentment, twisted hatred. "The grudges and hatred from before, I will make you pay tenfold. Kill me as many times as you want, and I will make you pay for it all!"

"Roar! (Is this guy crazy? Did I have a grudge against him before? What kind of hatred is this?)" The zombie looked innocently at Li Kai who was rushing towards it, feeling that the roles were reversed. Shouldn't I be the one rushing towards him?

"Die in peace!" Li Kai plunged his dagger into its heart once more. He was covered in blood, and although his muscles were aching and protesting, a smile appeared on his lips.

"Haha, it's not over yet, let's continue!" Li Kai looked at the lifeless zombie and placed the dagger against his neck again.

"Yo yo, not bad! Struggle a little longer, or it'll get boring!" Li Kai looked at the zombie in front of him with a mocking expression, an intense sense of pleasure filling his heart. What kind of feeling was that? It was truly indescribable! When someone has been killed dozens of times, and suddenly discovers that they can kill their opponent, then...

"Hehe, don't you like losing arms? How does it feel to have one cut off?" Li Kai directly severed the arm that was reaching towards him. It was the best way he had mastered through countless rehearsals, no! It should be said that it was the best way he had mastered in actual combat.

"You like biting people, don't you? Now that all your teeth are broken, how can you bite anymore?" As the zombie was dying, Li Kai swung the hilt of his dagger and slowly smashed all of the zombie's teeth, the blood-curdling screams echoing in the house.

"How does it feel to have your head blown off? Do you like it? Oh, I forgot you can't hear me anymore." Li Kai stared at the zombie's head pierced by the dagger, his pent-up resentment surging outwards—a revenge born of a petty person's triumph!

"Hehehe, I'll cut off your arms first, then your legs. The feeling of being amputated isn't pleasant, is it?" Li Kai toyed with the zombie struggling to crawl on the ground. This wasn't an ordinary human; it was even more terrifying than a zombie!

By the time he killed the zombie for the twentieth time, Li Kai had used every possible way to die, whether imagined or experienced! All the ferocity in his body had vanished, and even the initial excitement had begun to turn into numbness. Shouldn't he be satisfied now? He had already vented so many times.

No way! A wicked smile crept across Li Kai's lips. He'd finally gotten such a great opportunity; how could he possibly be satisfied?

That's it, this guy is beyond saving.

"Oh, you want to come along?" Li Kai pulled out his dagger and looked at him with an unfriendly expression.

Uh, you can continue, I won't bother you anymore.

"Today, the common people are truly happy! We've been liberated from slavery and are now singing songs of joy! From this day forward, we'll be the landlords!" Li Kai hummed a little tune as he kicked open the door and charged straight at the zombies who hadn't yet reacted.

I am Li Kai, and this blood-soaked guy in front of me is my assistant. Oh! I forgot to mention, he's a zombie. The good thing is, I'm thoroughly enjoying my life right now; everything is so wonderful, so carefree. (ps: Recorded on my fifteenth kill streak.)
