My Apocalypse: Infinite Rewinds

Cough cough, I must have misunderstood, it definitely isn't that kind of thing.

"You stinky spider, get out here right now!" Li Kai shouted loudly at the doorway. He's certainly arrogant enough! I have to admire him; he's a real hero!

With a "sizzle," as soon as Li Kai finished speaking, our giant spider comrade floated down from the sky.

Holy crap, is this what you call effortless grace? Are you blind? That sound is so loud my ears are still ringing!

"You come out when I tell you to, you're really obedient!" Li Kai looked at the giant spider that had landed in front of him, forcibly suppressing his inner fear, and calmly stared at it. Hmm, so many eyes, and they look like infrared beams.

Peng! This isn't the time for you to complain, you jerk, get serious right now.

The spider buzzed, looking at the human—or rather, its prey—standing before it in bewilderment. Was this thing courting death? Was it sick? Would it get poisoned if it ate it?

Nonsense!! Where would a spider get such complicated ideas? Besides, I'm not sick!

"Fine, today I'll let you experience what it's like to be barbecued!" Li Kai pointed angrily at the spider in front of him, then slowly pulled out a lighter from his waist pocket.

"Are you scared now? What will it feel like to be burned to a crisp?" Li Kai gently pressed the lighter, and a small flame flickered and burned in the air.

"Prepare to die!" Li Kai threw the lighter directly in front of the spider, humph, your whole body is flammable!

"Buzz?" The spider looked at the flames at its feet with a puzzled expression, then extended a sharp stinger and gently poked it.

"Snap!" Li Kai's prized lighter met its end just like that. Simple and brutal, I like it!

Wait a minute, who throws a lighter like that?! How can you possibly set someone on fire?! Do you think you're throwing a bomb?!

"Yeah, I was a bit too naive." Li Kai looked at the lighter that had been crushed to pieces with a sullen expression. "I'm so sorry!"

"We're short of something to ignite, so we'll have to sacrifice some of you." With tears streaming down his face, Li Kai pulled out the few lighters he had left and threw them all on the ground. Oh, and he kept one in his hand.

"There's fuel in the lighter, so it'll definitely ignite!" Li Kai confidently looked at the oil stain at his feet and then placed the last lighter on it.

"Whoosh!" A bright flame quickly ignited, and a path of flames blocked the way between the man and the spider.

"How about that? Are you scared now?" Li Kai looked proudly at the spider in front of him, thinking, "Let's see if you survive this time. This house is full of flammable materials. Once the flames are up, I'll see what happens to you."

"Sizzle!" The spider gave Li Kai a strange look, then began to stir restlessly. Was that a terrifying expression? It felt like there wasn't enough flame in front of it! Wait, we seem to have missed something.

Although the flames were already burning fiercely and were spreading outwards, wasn't that a bit too little against a spider that was several meters tall?

Nani? !

This little fire looks like it could be easily extinguished by you. Are you sure you can get it going?

"Whoosh!!" After examining the flames burning before it, the spider's blood-red eyes gleamed with an eerie light. Then, thick white threads shot out from its mouth, easily extinguishing the pitiful flames.

"Gulp!" Li Kai looked at the large puddle of white, sticky substance at his feet. It turned out to be all the silk it had expelled! Wait, does this mean...?

"I really am sick. Well then, goodbye, I won't bother you anymore." Li Kai shamelessly backed away, but do you really think that's possible?

"Sizzle!!" The moment Li Kai retreated, countless fine threads swept towards his body, and in no time, a willful cocoon appeared in the room.

"Waaah!!" Li Kai struggled desperately inside the cocoon, but he was unable to break free from the terrifying restraints.

"Whoosh!" The spider looked at its creation with satisfaction, then thrust its mandibles forward, easily piercing the cocoon, and blood-red liquid slowly flowed out.

With a sizzling sound, the spider, in a humane way, placed the cocoon on it to roast. Although it was good to eat raw, it tasted even better cooked.

"Whoosh!" With its spoils ready, the spider flew back to the ceiling with satisfaction through its web, along with a wisp of white smoke.

I think I'm dead again! Li Kai stared blankly at the cocoon below, his eyes wide with disbelief. What am I now? It's a question worth pondering.

I'm Li Kai. I originally planned to roast a spider, but a small problem arose, and I ended up being roasted by the spider instead! However, I won't give up! Victory awaits me. (P.S.: The feeling after roasting was so crispy and delicious! —by an infected spider)
