My Apocalypse: Infinite Rewinds

"!" Li Kai kept complaining to Wang Xiaobai, but I seemed to hear some incredible news.

You say you can't survive without meat? You say you need to consume crystals daily? No, I need to slow down and organize my thoughts.

So, in this apocalyptic environment, in an environment where people are barely able to get enough to eat, you are living a life of plenty every day?

"Yeah, that's right! The meat isn't easy to keep fresh these days, most of it has rotted," Li Kai muttered in dissatisfaction.

I suddenly felt powerless. I have to say, it's quite an achievement that they've survived this long! These two foodies are completely hopeless, and they've even given up on treatment.

"Besides, let me tell you, the outside world is wonderful. Think about us single dogs, ugh! Why are we hurting ourselves too?" Li Kai continued to coax Xiaobai, "Don't you want to find a partner outside? You can choose any type you like."

"Waaah!!" Little White shook its head, indicating that it had absolutely no love. Love, you know, can you eat it? Food is much faster!

"Uh, you really are my Little White! I understand you!" Seeing Little White's decisiveness, Li Kai excitedly hugged it. As for why? Well, you wouldn't understand the feelings of a single dog!

"Wait a minute, it still doesn't seem to be working!" Li Kai suddenly snapped out of his excited state. "This isn't the time to be lamenting!" You're only just realizing that?!

"Are you even listening to me?! Stop eating all the time, can't you see you're almost a ball?!" Looking at Xiaobai who was still engrossed in eating, Li Kai finally unleashed all his anger. "I'm telling you straight today, this is the last dinner. We have to leave tomorrow!"

"Oh~~" Little White nodded and shouted in a very human-like manner, meaning that she was fine and that you could do whatever you wanted.

"Huh? You agreed?" Seeing Xiaobai's quick agreement, Li Kai's brain suddenly went blank. "Wait a minute, this script..."

"Woof woof!! (It was all because you kept talking that I didn't even get a chance to speak!)" Little White finally spoke his mind. I didn't say I didn't want to go out.

"Oh, is that so! Actually, I was just testing your patience. Very well, you passed my test!" Li Kai acted like he already knew. Of course he knew! Why is your face so red? Don't turn away, I've already seen it all.

"Cough cough, that was from the spiciness just now, did you understand!" Li Kai coughed incessantly, but did he really need to hide his trembling voice? Absolutely not!

"Waaah~~ (I want to eat so much, it's all mine!)" Little White whimpered cutely in its sleep, occasionally kicking its legs and scratching its face.

"What lovely moonlight! The darkness without artificial light is actually quite pleasant!" Li Kai, resting his head on the windowsill, quietly admired the bright moon outside, a faint sadness emanating from him. He was truly a quiet and handsome man!

It would be even better if you didn't say anything. Could you please not break this lovely atmosphere?

"Haha, I really am suited to be an actor! A melancholic beauty, tsk tsk, that's amazing!" Li Kai smacked his lips, shook his head and sighed, giving me back my blindingly bright eyes!

"On another note, I wonder how she is now? But, in a world overrun by zombies, it would probably be quite suitable for someone with her violent tendencies." A smile crept onto Li Kai's lips without him realizing it. "We're setting off tomorrow. We've stayed in one place long enough! It's time to head to where she is."

"The Corpse Clan's conspiracy, the hopeless ending—who cares? These complicated things aren't for me! I just want to live a peaceful life, and for nobody to bother me!" Li Kai's eyes grew increasingly resolute, his expression turning extremely cold. For the sake of his heart's desire, he was willing to become a demon!

What a terrifying aura! Could it be that something's wrong with my senses?

"Speaking of which, it's been so long since we last met, I've missed you a little!" Li Kai's expression changed, then he smiled innocently.

What was he missing? Countless insults to his self-esteem, all sorts of attacks and retaliations, or that morbid tone? Uh, there was nothing to look forward to! Li Kai shuddered; all that had happened was a history of hardship and tears!

The next morning—oh! It must have been close to noon, since I woke up late!—Li Kai stood in the hallway, pointed ahead, and declared, "Our journey is to the stars and the sea! Let's set off!"

"Woof!" Little White barked symbolically, just to keep things from getting awkward!

And so, the man and the dog embarked on an unknown and dangerous journey.

I'm Li Kai, and today I finally took the first step out of being a shut-in. Although I'll encounter many dangers along the way, I won't give up! (P.S.: All sorts of dangers? Is anything more dangerous than death?)
