My Apocalypse: Infinite Rewinds

"Ahhh... Die!" Li Jing's hands tensed, and he swung the snow-white blade violently. The terrifying force almost tore through the air, and the invisible energy swept downwards.

"Squeak!" Feeling the powerful waves above its head, the mutated rat made a strange sound, which seemed to be... a mocking sound.

"Clang!" The tail of the steel whip swept casually upwards, and in an instant, the terrifying scene from before vanished as if nothing had ever happened.

"No way! I thought it was strong, but this is nothing!" Li Jing exclaimed as he saw his full-force attack easily blocked.

While he was distracted, the mutated rat did not stop. Its tail, which rose into the air, stabbed straight at Li Jing in front of it like a sharp cone, with its target being his chest.

"Snap!" Just as the tail was about to pierce his chest, a blinding white light flashed by, and cherry blossoms drifted to the ground.

"Huh? I'm not dead yet?" Li Jing, still shaken, touched his body, remembering what had just happened...

"Damn it, what are you doing standing there like this?!" Li Kai's roaring curses reached his ears. "A guy like you is a dead man!"

"Slash!" Xueying, wielding her katana, turned and swiftly slashed at the still trembling tail.

"Watch out!" Xueying shoved Li Kai aside, gripped her knife with both hands, and prepared to face the attack.

"It's okay... I'll feel better after a rest... I'm a little cold..." Xueying trembled, her pale lips evoking pity.

"Cold? It's okay, stay close to me, and don't fall asleep!" Li Kai hugged the girl tightly, using all his strength.

"But I'm so sleepy..." Xueying murmured softly, her trembling eyelashes blinking as she looked like she was about to close her eyes.

"No...don't sleep!" Li Kai held her hand, constantly reminding her, but the gradually fading warmth clearly indicated that...life was slipping away.

With a clang, the blade fell crisply to the ground, then shattered into tiny fragments and dissipated into the air.

"Ahhh!!!" Li Kai roared wildly, holding the delicate body in his arms. His cries were like those of a wild beast, filled with sorrow and desolation.

"Damn it..." Li Jing, kneeling to the side, angrily pounded the ground, then resolutely gripped the long sword in his hand.

"It seems... we're really going to die in obscurity..." Li Jing smiled bitterly. The evolved monster was completely beyond their ability to stop.

"You...you deserve to die!!" Li Kai walked forward step by step, completely ignoring the shouts behind him, and continued walking straight ahead.
