Adrian's gaze lingered on the female insect's face for a few seconds. There were two bloody holes around her eyes, and underneath them was a festering red.

“Your Excellency, Sean’s wife has been in the hospital for several years. Recently, the functions of his organs have been declining.” Arran spoke weakly, “As far as I know, your heart is more than 90% compatible with his.”

Sean has a peculiar obsession with Adrian, an obsession that extends beyond his Stand. He has many Stands as a female, so there's absolutely no need for Sean to relentlessly pursue Adrian, this male.

His ultimate goal was still Adrian's heart. A brand new, healthy heart would allow his queen to continue living.

Adrian, unaware of these matters, picked up the photos and asked, "So they all had their internal organs removed?"

“It’s a voluntary donation,” Arran corrected. “Sean doesn’t get his benefits for free.”

Sean grants these substitute insects power and status, and in return, these substitutes must repay him. For example, they might voluntarily donate one of their organs to his queen.

“If it were truly voluntary, they wouldn’t have died such a horrible death.” Adrian looked through the photos one by one, his tone nonchalant.

After looking at them, he put the photos together and handed them back to Aran: "Your Highness, what are you trying to say by showing me these?"

Aran smiled but remained silent. He had come prepared, placing another document on the table: "Sir, you may take a look."

Adrian frowned, took the document, and scanned its contents.

The document details the violent incidents Adrian encountered in the slums, their causes, and the mastermind behind them.

Adrian remained silent. Before he could finish reading, he heard Aran speak to him: "Your Excellency, I think you've guessed something. The Insect Emperor is seriously ill, and Prince Xin will soon ascend the throne. What will you do then?"

Adrian pressed his fingertips against the paper, looked at Arran, and suddenly laughed: "Prince, it seems I have no way out."

Arran laughed too: "Adrian, should I remind you that the Empire has more than one male insect prince, Sean."

"That position, either him or I could sit in it." Aran's voice lowered, revealing his ambition.

But you're a short-lived soul, you really won't be able to sit on it.

Adrian muttered to himself.

He had already discerned the meaning behind Aran's words: Aran wanted to win over Adrian to his side, and all the groundwork he had laid out was simply to completely sever Adrian's ties with Sean.

However, Arran was physically weak and died a few years earlier than Adrian in his previous life, which was the main reason why Adrian gave up on him.

“Your Excellency, I know you are hesitant. You don’t need to give me an answer now.” Arran regained his composure, took a sip of hot water, and said, “My former royal physician has fled to avoid punishment, and I am still searching for him. I heard that he once prescribed medicine for the legion commander. I suggest that you stop giving those medicines to the legion commander.”

Adrian looked at Arran, and seeing Arran's indifferent expression, he said, "I know, Dr. Fabian has told me about these things before."

“He’s just a quack, what does he know?” Arran frowned. His expression darkened when he mentioned Fabian. “The legion commander’s injury needs to be taken seriously. He will be going to the battlefield again in the future, and his eyes are the most important thing.”

“Okay, I understand.” Adrian nodded.

Morris held a special position in the military, and Arran paid particular attention to him.

After Arran finished speaking, he prepared to leave. As he passed Adrian, he instinctively covered his mouth and nose.

Adrian met with him twice, and Arran did this action at least three or four times.

Adrian paused for a few seconds before asking, "Prince, do I smell bad?"

Upon hearing this, Aran's expression changed slightly. He suppressed his discomfort and said, "No, I just feel a little familiar."

Adrian didn't understand what Arran meant, but he didn't delve into it and saw Arran to the door.

Before leaving, Arran exchanged contact information with Adrian, and then suddenly asked about Fabian.

"Your Excellency, have you been in contact with Fabian recently?" Arran's expression tightened again when he mentioned him.

Adrian deliberately kept the details of Morris's surgery under wraps, saying, "I recently asked him some questions online. He's not often at the hospital, and I can't see him."

Aran closed his lips, hesitated for a long time in silence, and finally spoke up: "Could you lend me the account you use to contact him?"

Adrian: "...?"

“He blocked me.” Aran seemed embarrassed to say it. He explained, “I haven’t been feeling well lately and wanted to ask him about it. Don’t worry, I’ll get back the account to you once I contact him.”

Adrian doesn't need this StarNet account for the time being. He's been communicating with Fabian via video calls lately, and the account he uses for consultations has been gathering dust on the side.

“Okay.” Adrian was easy to talk to. He gave Aran the account, but only told him the password to log in to the medical software.

Adrian used different passwords for each of his various apps, as he was extremely protective of his privacy; some apps even had over a dozen security questions. This StarNet account, used for consultations, didn't have many in-depth questions, so Adrian gave it to Aran.

Arran entered the account information into the computer, thanked Adrian briefly, and left the villa.

Adrian closed the door and returned to the sofa. Aran organized all the photos and took them away, leaving not a single one as evidence.

“Everything is subject to change. He might not die young in his lifetime.” Gouqietousheng noticed Adrian’s hesitation and spoke up leisurely from the side.

Adrian laughed: "That's rare, you actually speak up for the bug."

“I’m not trying to help him, what I’m saying is the truth,” Gouqiechoing continued. “Fabian is a skilled doctor, perhaps he can save him.”

Adrian frowned upon hearing this and said, "To be honest, I have absolutely no recollection of Fabian. What was he doing in his past life?"

The data spinning on Gouqiechoing paused for a moment, then spun a few times in the air for no apparent reason before landing on Adrian's head.

"I don't know, he can't be detected."

Adrian didn't ask any further questions. The surgery Fabian performed on Maurice was very effective. The scabs around his eyes had fallen off, and Maurice could now see a little light.

This at least proves that Fabian had no ill intentions towards them.

Clinging to life, he lay motionless on Adrian's head. Adrian, who had finally learned to be diligent and studious, picked up the white paper and continued reading shortly after sitting down.

The air was silent, save for the occasional sound of Adrian turning the pages of a paper.

The electric current crackled through its body as it clung to life. It put away the red card, and pain surfaced in the few fragments of its soul that were not yet fully integrated.

"……elder brother."

He muttered something under his breath, barely audible. His voice was as faint as a mosquito's buzz, low and hoarse, carrying a sense of bewilderment at not knowing where he was going.

Adrian couldn't hear clearly, so he lifted his eyelids to look up. The creature that had been clinging to life had already suppressed its red glow and temporarily entered a frozen state.
