Defeat the system! Kiss my little monster!

Chapter 74 The End of Contradiction

Morris seemed to have suddenly gone mad. His physical abilities were extraordinary; both his muscle and skeletal strength far surpassed that of ordinary female insects.

Edley was dragged backward by him. He wasn't someone who was easy to bully. With his white hair disheveled, he began to bite Morris's arm in revenge.

“Maurice, how dare you—”

Morris seemed oblivious as Adrian's sharp teeth bit into his wrist, leaving it bloody and mangled. Morris didn't let go, dragging Adrian up the stairs one flight at a time, then throwing him onto the bed as soon as he opened the door.

Adrian's head slammed against the wall, his ears were ringing, and he was dazed for less than three seconds before Morris grabbed him by the neck and shoved him toward the bed.

“Adrian, you’ll never get rid of me in this lifetime, unless I want to!” Morris’s eyes were sinister. His taut nerves, like a string, were suddenly snapped and rendered useless.

Adrian stared at him with the same sinister look. He was almost suffocating, unable to speak, but the force in his hand did not diminish in the slightest.

Morris nearly tore Adrian's clothes apart; his wrists were covered in bite marks, but they healed completely in no time.

He pressed down on Adrian's neck, and Morris, knowing Adrian's greatest fear, deliberately returned all the pain from the bite wound to Adrian's carotid artery.

Adrian's face contorted in pain as he kicked Maurice's body repeatedly, trying to break free from beneath him.

“Adrian… Haha, you might as well die with me… If we die together, we won’t have to think about anything else.”

Morris didn't raise his head until more than ten minutes later, the taste of blood lingering between his lips and teeth. Adrian lay half-turned, his face buried in the blankets, the skin on his neck white and delicate, crimson blood flowing continuously from the bite wound.

Morris laughed for a long time without responding. Adrian's lips were pale and cracked, and his pupils were unfocused as he stared into the shadows beside him. The wound on his neck showed no signs of healing for a long time.

Morris's smile slowly faded as he lowered his head and licked Adrian's wounds, his movements slow and meticulous, using his own saliva to heal the injury.

“…My lord, I’m sorry.” After he finished, he buried his head in Adrian’s neck and suddenly resumed his previous humble posture.

Adrian's breathing suddenly quickened. He abruptly shoved Maurice aside and kicked him hard in the stomach, sending him sprawling off the bed. Maurice fell to the ground with a dull thud, perhaps from hitting the corner of a table or chair behind him, and a painful groan echoed through the air.

"Get out." Adrian covered his neck, his green eyes almost overflowing with disgust.

Morris slumped to the ground with his head down. A few seconds later, he suddenly stood up and strode out.

The door slammed shut, severing all contact.

Adrian seemed to hear that distant sound of a door closing again. His eyes trembled; Maurice wasn't the same as he had been in the end. His right eye was still there; though injured, it could heal, and he wasn't beyond saving.

“Maurice, I won’t lie to you.” Adrian kissed the corner of Maurice’s eye, his fingertips lightly touching the slightly brighter worm-like markings on the back of Maurice’s neck, and comforted him, “I’ll do it with you once a day.”

Morris: "..."

“My lord, excessive indulgence will harm your health,” he said.

Going there will only increase your Yang energy value.

Adrian was calculating in his mind. He leaned against Maurice's chest and narrowed his eyes slightly upon seeing this.

Since Maurice is not yet used to the sudden change in his situation, Adrian can give him some time to adjust.

Yang energy isn't something Adrian urgently needs right now; he can wait.

“Alright, since you’re so weak, let’s change it to once every two days.” Adrian was easy to talk to, but there was a hint of concession in his tone. After saying that, he didn’t forget to remind Maurice.

"You need to eat more to nourish your body. What's so good about those nutrient solutions? Look at you, you can't even stand eating them once a day anymore. It's really making the insects miserable."

Morris: "..."

He paused for a few seconds, then said with shame, "Yes, my lord, I will try my best."

Adrian hummed in agreement, then ruffled Maurice's dark hair to show his satisfaction.

"Who was the doctor who examined your eyes? I'll take you back to the military headquarters this time and ask him about the situation."

Adrian found a brand new medical bandage and wrapped it around Morris's eyes. Morris couldn't see light now, so Adrian only checked the condition of the skin around his eyes before wrapping it up again to block out the light.

Morris obediently raised his head and said, "His Majesty was concerned about my injuries and specially arranged for a royal physician to treat me."

Adrian's subordinate paused: "...Royal physician? Which prince's?"

The empire currently has seventeen princes, each with a royal physician responsible for their health.

Military females, of course, did not enjoy such treatment; all injured military females received treatment at the military hospital. Adrian had always assumed that Maurice was the same, but he never expected that the current Insect Emperor would actually send a royal physician to treat Maurice.

Morris didn't try to hide anything and said, "Seventh Prince Aran."

Adrian was somewhat surprised: "It's him again?"

The insect I bought from the store before, the Supreme No. 2, was also from him.

“My lord, do you know him?” Morris asked upon seeing this.

Adrian: "I've only heard of him. He's a prince, you know. I often see news about him on the StarNet."

Morris nodded. The Zerg have special programs that report on famous Zerg warriors, so it's not surprising that Adrian knows Arran.

But Morris is also one of the well-known insect warriors.

“My lord, I also gave an interview last time.” Morris sat upright in the passenger seat, his expression unchanged as he spoke, as if it were just a casual remark.

Adrian glanced at him upon hearing this, and said in a drawn-out tone, "Oh—I see. Then I'll have to see how you perform when I get back."

Morris pursed his lips and remained silent. He leaned back in his chair and turned his face away as if to appear profound.

His interview was flawless. He was well-dressed, spoke appropriately, and even expanded on some strategic thinking, clearly displaying the authority of a legion commander.

Morris thought for a moment and straightened his tie.

The journey to the military headquarters aboard the Supreme 1 was relatively short, as the aircraft's speed far exceeded that of ordinary machinery, taking no more than ten minutes in total.

During this time, Adrian recalled some information about the Seventh Prince, Arran.

His impression of Aran was extremely vague, but it wasn't entirely absent.

The empire has many princes, but the number of male insects is small. The current insect emperor only has two male insect princes, Sean and Arran, while the other dozen or so princes are all female insects.
