Chapter 71 An Accidental Encounter
It was no surprise to run into Cecil Adrian here; he had met him here in his previous life, and they exchanged some trivial pleasantries.
Cecil will soon marry one of the other males. He's the son of the Chancellor of the Exchequer, and Adrian neither knows nor cares what will become of him and that other male.
Besides retrieving his Supreme No. 1, he also wanted to find out some things.
Adrian gripped the quantum computer on his wrist. He walked slowly, glancing intentionally at the shadowy areas inside the store.
The shop was decorated with numerous stone pillars, one every fifteen meters. They supported the roof and walls, casting several dark shadows.
Adrian saw the hem of the military uniform flash by in the shadows before disappearing without a trace.
Adrian looked away, pretending not to have seen anything, and continued walking forward, casually asking the shop assistant, "There are three of these flying vehicles in total. Who got the other two?"
This was originally a private matter, but Adrian had already purchased 425 aircraft from this store, and with the addition of this brand-new Supreme Luxury Edition aircraft, Adrian had long since ascended to the store's top-tier Gold Diamond VIP status.
VIPs have special privileges. The shop assistant searched through the information and said, "Our Supreme No. 2 was given to the Seventh Prince Aran, and the buyer of Supreme No. 3 is a female insect who wishes to remain anonymous."
Adrian raised an eyebrow upon hearing this, nodded, and asked, "Are all these aircraft the same?"
"Yes, sir, apart from the color, the three aircraft are equipped identically. If you require a color change, we can do that for you," the clerk replied.
Adrian didn't say anything. That same day, he took out the Supreme 1 and prepared to drive it home.
The innermost room of the shop was dimly lit, gradually brightening as you moved further out, revealing the brightness of daylight. The shop assistant who had shown Adrian around had already gone inside to retrieve the car; another female insect would be handling the payment process from now on.
Adrian sat on the sofa, glancing to the side. A few minutes later, he saw Maurice walking over from the mall outside.
He was clearly adept at disguise. Although he was only separated from Adrian by two glass doors, and could see the other man with a glance, Maurice walked straight ahead without looking to either side, as if he had never noticed Adrian's presence.
It was as if the female insect who had been hiding behind the pillar, gloomy and silent, was not him.
“Pretentious.” Adrian scoffed, chewing on candy as his gaze followed Maurice’s every move.
When Maurice reached the nearest glass door, Adrian got up and knocked on the window.
Morris raised his purple eyes and looked at Adrian through the transparent glass, a hint of surprise on his face: "...Lord?"
“Come in.” Adrian frowned, then sat back down on the sofa, leaning against the wall behind him and looking towards the door.
Morris soon pushed open the door and walked into the store that sold aircraft.
When he arrived, he was still in his military uniform, the black and gold collar of which was half-folded, his coat open, and his white shirt underneath still tightly and securely worn.
Adrian's gaze swept over his legs. Morris's legs were long and strong, with clearly defined muscles. The military trousers were intentionally designed to show off the strength of the female soldier, revealing the subtle contours of his legs.
"What are you doing here? Aren't you still at work at this hour?" Adrian preemptively struck, sitting on the sofa and looking up. Morris was tall, and his shadow alone covered most of Adrian's figure.
Morris realized this as well, and he stepped forward to move aside, allowing the outside light to shine on Adrian.
“My lord, I have an hour to rest at noon. I would like to buy you the latest game console.” Morris approached Adrian, kneeling on one knee on Adrian’s shoes, and spoke softly with his eyes lowered.
Adrian glanced down. Morris controlled his strength skillfully; his knee pressed against Adrian's instep, and although there was a noticeable sensation, there was no pain. As he spoke, he leaned forward, creating a sense of pressure.
Seeing this, Adrian leaned forward as well. He glanced at Maurice's empty hands and asked, "Where's the game console?"
Morris said calmly, “My lord, the latest version is sold out.”
“Really? I’ll go to the store in a bit to see if they’re sold out.” Adrian subtly nudged Morris’s knee with his right foot. “Get up, you’re making my leg numb. You don’t have to kneel on me anymore.”
“Yes,” Morris answered quickly, standing up and walking to Adrian’s side.
“Maurice, do you know why I’m out today?” Adrian asked, tilting his head. Before Maurice could answer, he continued, “My Supreme One has arrived, you know, that limited edition giant aircraft, right? I’ll show you in a bit. It’s really huge, as big as a warship.”
Morris had seen it all in the military. He often had to pilot warships on the battlefield. Those warships were far larger than ordinary aircraft, with complete facilities and most of them were equipped with missiles.
Adrian's Supreme 1 was just a miniature warship in his eyes.
Seeing the glint in Adrian's green eyes, Morris still gave him face and said, "Yes, my lord, I have never seen such a large flying machine before."
"I'll show you in a bit." Adrian stood up. The clerk who went to retrieve the aircraft hadn't returned yet, so the clerk at the back brought the device to the front desk.
The female insect paused upon seeing Morris. Among the current legion commanders of the military, there are two shining stars, referring to Morris and Colin.
Unfortunately, Commander Morris has suffered a series of setbacks recently, with old wounds not yet healed and new ones added. Now he is being summoned by male insects in public.
Morris remained calm, his narrow, slightly upturned eyes always carrying a sinister and threatening glint when he unconsciously glanced at the insect. The shop assistant only glanced at Morris before quickly averting his gaze.
Adrian signed each of the expense forms. It was a large expense. Adrian had reviewed the agreements and insurance policies and signed his name in the designated places.
"Sir, how would you like to make the payment? Your account is currently linked to... well, seventy-five cards, but only two have sufficient funds. We will prioritize using the Empress's bank card for you, please..."
“No need, just swipe my card.” Adrian pulled out a gold-plated black card from his pocket. His savings over the years were all in it, enough to buy a Supreme No. 1.
The shop assistant looked slightly surprised. He glanced hesitantly at Adrian and Morris before finally accepting Adrian's black card.
"Okay, Your Excellency."
