Shen Yisui had never thought of revealing his identity to others before.

His appearance had changed, his file had been altered, and even those who knew about it had all died at the hands of zombies during this period. Shen Heng couldn't be convinced by Shen Yisui's words alone.

Shen Yisui had no intention of explaining to Shen Heng. Rather than letting him speak, it was better to let Shen Heng discover it himself.

He briefly explained his plan to Cheng Jingyi.

Cheng Jingyi frowned slightly after hearing this: "You're alone with him?"

"It's alright, I can handle it," Shen Yi said. "If you're worried, you can follow behind. After all, I can't control the current situation of that colored ball."

Cheng Jingyi scoffed: "You wish! Am I your bodyguard?"

Shen Yisui: "Then don't follow me."

“I’m going to follow you.” Cheng Jingyi sat up. He couldn’t stretch out in the closet, so he just leaned halfway against Shen Yisui. “Anyway, you can’t control me.”

Shen Yisui: "..."

"Whatever you want." Shen Yi touched Cheng Jingyi's cheek in the darkness, his lips seemingly brushing against the corner of Cheng Jingyi's lips unintentionally, and whispered, "But remember to look at me, I'll be scared alone..."

Cheng Jingyi lowered his eyelashes, remaining motionless. When he spoke, his lips met Shen Yisui's: "Really? How scared are you?"

He extended his arm forward and pressed down on the wooden cabinet door behind Shen Yisui.

Shen Yisui felt Cheng Jingyi's other hand slip inside his waistband along his clothes. He looked up and said, "Right now I'm very..."

"Brother? Are you there, brother?"

Another sound suddenly rang out from outside, and within a second or two, there was a rapid knocking sound coming from the blocked door.

"Brother?! Are you still there?"

Shen Yisui and Cheng Jingyi were both startled by the sound. The ambiguous atmosphere between them suddenly dissipated, and their nerves were on edge from the noise.

Shen Yisui's expression changed slightly. He grabbed Cheng Jingyi's arm, suddenly slammed his head back against the wardrobe door with a muffled groan, and pulled Cheng Jingyi down with him.

At the same time, the door to the room was kicked open from the outside. Shen Heng looked rather grim. He kicked aside the broken pieces of wood that had fallen from the door and strode in.

"Brother, are you alright...?"

He frowned as he spoke, but his words abruptly stopped when he saw the scene before him.

Cheng Jingyi was pinning a zombie to the ground. The zombie was obviously not very strong; its chin was held down and it couldn't move. It could only grab Cheng Jingyi's clothes with both hands and keep tearing at them.

Cheng Jingyi's expression was gloomy. He grabbed the black hair of the zombie beneath him with one hand and slammed it down hard on the back of the head.

The floor of the house was smashed and cracked, and dust and gravel flew around. After Cheng Jingyi repeated this action seven or eight times, the zombie was finally knocked unconscious by the impact.

"...Brother, are you alright?" Shen Heng hadn't expected to see such a thing. He stood at the doorway and didn't go inside.

"It's nothing." Cheng Jingyi threw down the unconscious zombie in his hand, stood up, and glanced at the ground. "Someone like him can't hurt me."

The zombie lying unconscious on the ground had messy black hair. He tilted his head, and his black hair fell down to cover half of his face, revealing only the tip of his nose and his dry, chapped, light-colored lips.

Shen Heng stared hesitantly at the zombie lying on the ground. The zombie's chest was covered in blood, revealing a gaping hole beneath, and Shen Heng could even see the punctured lungs inside.

"Brother, this zombie... who is it?" Shen Heng seemed incredulous. He pointed to the ground, pursed his lips, and hesitated before speaking.

“You know him, Shen Yisui,” Cheng Jingyi said, kicking the fallen zombie. “He followed me here at some point, ambushed me in my closet, and even tried to bite me to death.”

"Shen Yisui?!" Shen Heng's tone changed. He took a few steps forward and got a closer look, only then seeing the zombie's face clearly. "It really is him..."

Cheng Jingyi rummaged through the drawer next to him, but found nothing useful. So he simply used the two leather belts that had been thrown away to tie up Shen Yisui's mouth and hands.

Shen Yisui: "..."

This was not part of their plan. Shen Yisui remained silent for a moment, then could only open his mouth to cover himself up.

Cheng Jingyi pinched Shen Yisui's chin with his fingers, and without much force, he successfully tied up the side of Shen Yisui's mouth.

Shen Heng watched from the side, his gaze lingering on Shen Yisui for a moment before he asked, "Brother, Shen Yisui has become a zombie now, are we still going to go with him?"

Cheng Jingyi tied Shen Yisui up and threw him aside. He casually found a seat and sat down, glancing at Shen Heng with his eyelids raised: "He's a zombie, and so am I."

Shen Heng immediately realized he had misspoke. He smiled and said, "Brother, I didn't mean that. It's just that Shen Yisui has just become a zombie and is unconscious yet, so I'm a little worried."

"It's alright, I'm keeping an eye on him. He can't cause much trouble yet." Cheng Jingyi said, looking at Shen Heng, "Why did you suddenly come here? I remember you're still injured and shouldn't go out easily."

Upon hearing this, Shen Heng finally shifted his gaze away from Shen Yisui.

Although Cheng Jingyi didn't mention Shen Yisui much in her words, Shen Heng knew their relationship well, and Cheng Jingyi probably still didn't want to give up on Shen Yisui.

Shen Heng secretly clenched his fingers. He looked at Cheng Jingyi and said with his expression unchanged, "Brother, I was just about to tell you about this. I met my former teammates in another building. They have some extra medicine, so you don't need to trouble them to run it for me again."

Cheng Jingyi frowned: "Your teammates?"

“Yes, he’s someone I met in the army. He was my adjutant and always took good care of me…” Before Shen Heng could finish speaking, Cheng Jingyi heard footsteps outside the door.

Two men in black military uniforms walked over. They were about the same size. One of them was pale, but his fox-like eyes were bright. When he saw Cheng Jingyi, his eyes curved into a smile.

The other man was noticeably more serious, with cold, hard features, slightly furrowed brows, taut lips, and an unsmiling expression.

Cheng Jingyi could tell the difference between the two just by looking at them, and guessed that the cold-faced man standing in front must be the adjutant that Shen Heng had mentioned.

“Brother, I told them about your situation. It's a special time now, and the adjutant and his men are willing to cooperate with us. But as a condition, we also need to help them return to the East District.” Shen Heng glanced at the two men at the door and took two steps back.

Cheng Jingyi sat motionless at the foot of the bed. He had always had a bad impression of the military, not to mention that he was now a zombie.

The man standing at the front was also sizing up Cheng Jingyi's figure. His gaze slid over Cheng Jingyi and stopped on Shen Yisui, who was tied to the wardrobe.
