Chapter 108 Male Insects and Female Insects

Adrian and Maurice returned to the villa where they had previously lived.

For some unknown reason, the female soldier who came to track them changed direction halfway and flew into the cemetery.

Adrian had no wings and fled using the trees for cover the whole way. Morris flew in the air until he was sure the female soldiers had left, then he flew back to the ground and caught Adrian.

Unlike the typical male Zerg, Adrian was short; he was tall and somewhat stocky. Morris wrapped his arms around his waist and carried him away from the graveyard.

Adrian buried his face in Morris's chest, opened his eyes and looked down. Below were steep mountains and dense jungles, and because of the remote location, everything was pitch black.

Adrian gripped Maurice's shirt tightly. A flash of red light appeared before his eyes, and he saw another figure quickly appear beside him.

Adrian's eyes crinkled into a smile: "You're back?"

The crimson sphere rolled once in the air, let out a few cold snorts, and effortlessly slammed down on Adrian's head.

As if sensing something, the red card in Adrian's pocket quickly floated out and soon merged with the card of survival.

"If I don't keep an eye on you, you'll cause trouble everywhere! Do you know what I just sacrificed to get rid of that pink egg?!"

As it spoke, it slapped the red card repeatedly on Adrian's forehead.

Adrian winced in pain, hugged Maurice tightly, and said with a wronged expression, "What did you sacrifice?"

"My lust, you stupid worm!" it cried out in a fit of rage, clinging to life. It knew its spherical shape had always been perfect, but it never imagined it would one day be reduced to using its body to seduce another dull worm.

This is all because Adrian is useless, causing those who live in ignominy to suffer humiliation because of him.

"You have to make it up to me! You have to make it up to me!"

The creature, "Gorges and Stubborn Life," bounced and jumped on Adrian's head, pressing down so much that Adrian's neck could barely support itself.

Adrian was exasperated. He said, "I'll give you 100 Yang Qi points as compensation, is that alright?"

The man who had been clinging to life stopped what he was doing: "Really? You're so generous?"

“I’ve been making a lot of money lately, and I’ll keep working hard to make more.” Seeing that things were going well, Adrian continued, “Little Gou Gou, what do you think? Let’s call it even.”

"Gouchie Chesheng" snorted coldly, his tone slightly raised: "Fine. But don't forget, you still owe me a thousand. You'll have to pay it back next time."

“Okay.” Adrian had no problem with it.

After he finished speaking, the cowardly creature finally quieted down. It shifted to a more comfortable position and pressed itself against Adrian's head, brushing Adrian's messy white hair to one side.

"call……"

Morris's flying figure suddenly plummeted downwards a short distance. His expression changed slightly as he glanced down.

Adrian remained in the same position, holding him tightly with his head pressed against Morris's chest, his head bowed and silent.

...How did I suddenly gain so much weight?

Maurice frowned, then used a subtle force to pull Adrian upwards. Adrian clearly sensed Maurice's unusual action, and looked up to ask, "What's wrong?"

"It's nothing." The darkness concealed Maurice's expression as he quietly placed his hand over Adrian's abdomen, touching his still relatively flat stomach.

Morris frowned inwardly, then increased his strength, carrying Adrian away from the edge of the cemetery.

……

Adrian didn't see Arran again until a week later. Arran deliberately chose the time when Morris was at the military headquarters, and came alone to Adrian's villa.

Adrian had anticipated this. He opened the door and looked around after Arran came in.

"Stop looking, it's just me, I didn't bring any other insects with me." Aran found a seat and sat down. He picked up the hot water cup prepared for him on the table, his expression normal.

Adrian raised an eyebrow, closed the door, and sat down opposite Aran: "Prince, what brings you here?"

Arran remained silent, staring intently at Adrian, his red eyes swirling with emotion.

Adrian, however, was in no hurry. He twirled the personal terminal in his hand, seemingly unconcerned about Aran's arrival.

After waiting a few minutes and seeing that Adrian showed no intention of speaking, Aran hesitated for a moment and then asked directly, "Adrian, what did you see that day?"

He was talking about his wings.

On the day they fell off the cliff, Arran exposed his wings in a moment of panic. Adrian couldn't see them clearly at the time, only seeing half of his wings flapping. As for the other half, perhaps Arran didn't unfold them, or perhaps they didn't exist at all.

Adrian chuckled. "Prince, it's very dark at the bottom of the cliff. I didn't see anything. What are you talking about?"

Aran squinted, gripping the water glass tightly with both hands, his skin burning from the hot water inside.

"Adrian, that royal doctor escaped. He was caught, but last night he was released by the female soldiers lying in ambush and escaped from prison." Arran's voice came slowly as he stared at the hot water in his glass, a sharp pain shooting through his head.

Adrian looked at Arran and vaguely understood the meaning behind it.

Arran is not a male; he and his brother Lorella are twins. A childhood rumor tells of them falling into the water together, Lorella drowning, and Arran surviving.

But looking at the current situation, it's clear that Loretta is the one who survived.

As a female insect, Lorella possessed superior physical attributes compared to the male insect, Arran. After Arran's death, Lorella took his place, posing as the male insect prince and continuing to live in the palace.

The reason Arran is so eager to execute the royal doctor who has fled abroad is probably because he has learned of the secret Arran has been hiding for many years.

If he were to take the opportunity to inform the Insect Emperor... Aran would be guilty of deceiving the emperor, and even if he were to survive by chance, he would lose the chance to compete with Sean for the throne again.

Aran frowned, his eyes flashing with murderous intent: "He's already within Sean's sphere of influence; I can't kill him. Rather than waiting for him to inform the Insect Emperor, I might as well..."

“Prince, don’t be impatient, it’s not that time yet.” Adrian received the signal in Arran’s words and said, “The Insect Emperor is just bedridden right now, and the military is still under his control. Besides, Sean has not yet officially joined forces with the doctor, so we still have a chance.”

"Time is running out." Arran sighed, put his water glass on the table, and continued, "Sean asked my father for Colin's hand in marriage in the main hall today, and my father agreed. They will be getting married in three days."

Adrian paused upon hearing this: "So fast?"

Colin is the commander of the Tenth Army Corps. After Sean marries him, the Tenth Army's influence will also shift towards Sean.

This will only make their situation worse.
