Chapter 107 The Tragedy of the Female Ruler

"Who is this?" the Insect Emperor muttered to himself. He opened his eyes wide and looked at the corpse inside. The corpse's appearance and bones were obviously younger than his, and its skin was smooth and without wrinkles.

The Insect Emperor gripped his cane tightly, suppressing his anger, and asked again, "Legion Commander, who is this?!"

Colin lowered his head and said, "Insect Emperor, the tomb raiders opened the crystal coffin when they escaped, and this corpse has been inside ever since."

The Insect Emperor's breathing was heavy. He stepped forward as quickly as possible and roughly brushed aside the black crystal shards pressing down on the corpse with his cane. Some of the shards had cut into the flesh of the corpse when they exploded, causing the skin to crack and black blood to flow out.

A muffled rustling sound filled the tomb, creating a somber atmosphere. Colin took the opportunity to turn his gaze to his side.

Sean and Arran followed orders and entered. They stood at the corner, too intimidated by the Insect Emperor's power to speak.

Sean's face had turned deathly pale. Colin glanced at him, remained silent for a moment, and then spoke up: "Your Majesty, the corpses inside might have been left by grave robbers. I overheard them talking about black crystal; they firmly believe it can preserve corpses..."

Before Colin could finish speaking, he was hit on the head by a cane that came flying at him.

The wooden cane was heavy, and Colin was knocked backward by it. He didn't utter a sound of pain and continued to kneel in place.

The Insect Emperor didn't even glance at him; he had already turned the half-side-up corpse over.

The corpse's face was exposed to his view. It had a high nose bridge, closed eyes, and a pair of peach blossom eyes that, even in death, still looked up like they did in life, with a small red mole at the corner of each eye.

The waist-length silver hair almost stung the Insect Emperor's pupils, and his hand gripping his cane trembled uncontrollably. A few seconds later, he fixed his gaze on Sean.

"Sean, who is this vile worm?"

Sean froze, stiffly raising his head. He said, "Father, I don't know why Ryan is here. I've been keeping him in the hospital for treatment. He's a plant insect..."

"He's in the black crystal coffin now!" The Insect Emperor coughed twice, slamming his cane into the arm of the female insect below him, as if he wanted to chop her into mincemeat. "You wretched creature, what do you want to do? Make this vile insect king?!"

"No, no... Father, some insects stole Rui'an while I was away. I've never done such a thing, Father..."

Sean's voice trembled as he looked at the female insect's corpse. The flesh on the female insect's arm was smashed into a bloody mess, and black blood flowed all over the ground.

Arran watched coldly from the side and said, "Sean, only you have ever known the location where Ryan is receiving treatment. It's difficult for my father and me to even see him. Who could possibly steal such a big bug from you?"

Sean's lips turned pale as he kept explaining to the Insect Emperor, "Father, Ryan is still alive. He's just a plant insect; he's not dead yet. I'm taking him back so he won't offend your eyes..."

“This vile insect should have died long ago.” The Insect Emperor thrust his cane forcefully, piercing the female insect’s arm. He looked at Sean, his voice growing increasingly hoarse, “You’ve kept him alive for so many years, are you resenting me?”

Sean choked back tears, his eyes reddening without him noticing. The Insect Emperor stared down at him, its murky pupils still radiating oppressive power, its serpentine pupils casting large shadows around him.

Sean remained silent for a long time before saying in a dry voice, "Father, Ryan is guilty, and it is right for you to execute him."

"Throw him into the horde of alien beasts." The Insect Emperor pulled his cane from the female insect's body. He walked slowly outside, stopping every step he took, leaving a trail of blood. "Sean, you go yourself."

Sean blinked, his Adam's apple bobbing, and he lowered his head, saying, "...Yes."

As the Insect Emperor passed by Colin, he glanced down at Colin's figure. The female insect was kneeling on one knee, her expression mostly serious. The Insect Emperor looked at him for a moment, then looked away and walked away.

Arran then stood up, his gaze sweeping over the female insect's corpse before he quickly left the tomb.

Fabian was already waiting outside. When Aran came out, he handed him the pills: "Your Highness, you haven't taken your medicine for tonight."

Arran took the pills and swallowed them expressionlessly. He glanced at Fabian and asked in a low voice, "Did you do this?"

Fabian wiped his hands and smiled at Arran, "Prince, how could someone with my physique possibly steal a female insect? Please don't doubt me about everything, okay?"

Aran shut her mouth and continued to sneer.

Fabian's smile faded, and he said casually, "I only gave Prince Sean a few pointers, who knew he would be so bold."

Aran lifted her eyelids: "Be careful, he might kill you."

“As long as I stay hidden in your room and don’t come out, he can’t kill me,” Fabian chuckled. “Don’t you think so?”

Aran smirked: "Get lost."

The female soldiers outside quickly retreated from the cemetery, their footsteps fading into the distance, leaving only a few scattered insects inside the tomb to repair the cracks.

The Crystal Coffin Insect Emperor forbids other insects from touching it, and some insects have already specially surrounded the Crystal Coffin with a warning line.

Sean slumped to the ground of the tomb, holding Ryan's body and tearing off his own belt to wrap Ryan's injured arm completely.

"Ryan, don't be afraid, it doesn't hurt...it doesn't hurt..."

Colin stood beside Sean, watching Sean hold Ryan tightly and refuse to let go. A surge of bittersweet emotion welled up in his throat and chest.

“Sir, he is dead.” Colin knelt beside Sean, his fingers curled as he wiped away the tears from Sean’s eyes with his sleeve. “Why do you do this?”

Sean abruptly shook off Colin's arm, looked up at Colin, and his eyes were filled with resentment that almost overflowed: "He's not dead! He's just a plant insect, he's still alive!"

Colin's arm ached, so he withdrew his hand and said nothing more.

Ryan had stopped breathing long ago. He had been a plant insect before, but not long ago, all his organs began to fail rapidly, especially his heart, and there was no hope of recovery.

He died a week ago.

Colin thought Sean could let him go, but Sean was unwilling to even abandon Ryan's remains, and secretly placed them in the Insect Emperor's crystal coffin.

This is a grave sin. Sean actually went to such lengths for his empress.

[What a sentimental insect. Waaah… Colin, there aren't many Zerg males as devoted as Sean. He loves his mate and he loves you too; he's the only male with such profound love.]

The pink ball somehow slipped back in from outside and landed next to Colin, its heart-shaped body pulsating.

[Now his queen is dead. From now on, he will love you as he loved him... He will shed tears for you; you are his only one.]

Colin frowned and murmured, "Love..."
