On the third day, since they had almost been swept away by the flood the night before, Hongfei and Li Xiangyi had not slept at all. They simply lit a fire and waited until dawn to get ready to continue their journey.

After finally getting light, Hong Fei and Li Xiangyi hastily ate breakfast and decided to head to town to rest. They hadn't driven far when they came to a fork in the road. Both Li Xiangyi and Hong Fei were at a loss, because Li Xiangyi had never been to this place before and didn't know which road to take.

Fortunately, they encountered some passersby, and Li Xiangyi asked them for directions to the town before continuing their journey. However, the road they followed became increasingly remote, and they finally found a village. Upon asking, they learned that the person who had given them directions had given them the wrong directions. This road, while leading to the town, was more than twice as far as the other road, and it led to a different town. Hong Fei and Li Xiangyi were at a loss for words.

But they couldn't very well turn back. After all, they had already traveled quite a distance, so it was better to go directly to the town that this road led to, since they could reach the southwest region anyway. This time, they confirmed the direction and route with the villagers, and they also inquired about the village where they had stayed the previous night. Surprisingly, the villagers actually knew. It turned out that the village had been relocated by the government, and that the ravine connected to a large river. That river was called the Yongding River, and it was prone to breaching its banks during floods, causing inundation to the people on both banks. To solve this problem, the government built a dam at the point where the Yongding River met the ravine, for use in diverting floodwaters during floods.

Hong Fei and Li Xiangyi were unaware of this matter, assuming that the village was just an ordinary place that had almost been swept away by the floodwaters last night.

Knowing the truth, Hong Fei and Li Xiangyi could only accept their bad luck.

They bid farewell to the villagers and set off again towards towns. This time they didn't get lost, but the journey was simply too long. Hong Fei was getting impatient, which led to her complaining to Li Xiangyi earlier.

"Li Xiangyi, how much longer until he arrives?" Hong Fei asked.

"Soon, soon," Li Xiangyi said casually, though he was actually exhausted.

Hongfei took out two bunches of grapes from her backpack, handed one to Li Xiangyi, and ate the other herself.

Li Xiangyi took the grapes and examined them. These grapes were of excellent quality; grapes of such high quality were rare. He picked one and put it in his mouth; it tasted delicious. He then asked Hong Fei, "Where did you get these grapes? They taste so good."

Hongfei replied, "I bought it from the system store. I originally bought it to brew wine."

"Brewing wine? You can brew wine?" Li Xiangyi became very interested when he heard this.

"Yeah. What's up?" Hongfei heard Li Xiangyi's slightly excited voice and didn't understand why. It's just that he knows how to brew wine.

"Then what kind of wine can you brew?" Li Xiangyi asked again.

“We can brew many kinds. There’s wine, Guanwai baijiu, Nu’erhong, Yulu wine, and Fenjiu, among others,” Hongfei replied.

"Do you have any wine brewing now?" Li Xiangyi asked again.

Hong Fei realized then that this guy wasn't like Lu Xiaofeng—a drunkard, was he?

“You want to drink,” Hongfei said definitively.

Li Xiangyi coughed and said, "I just wanted to try your cooking, didn't I?"

"Tch! Just say you want a drink. Why beat around the bush?" Hong Fei retorted to Li Xiangyi, then added, "Let's talk about it in town. You still have to drive."

“Okay! We’ll talk about it when we get to town.” Li Xiangyi thought Hong Fei was right.

After finishing the grapes in his hand, Li Xiangyi asked Hong Fei, "Are there any more grapes?"

Hong Fei took another bunch of grapes from her backpack and gave it to Li Xiangyi: "Here, eat them all first, there are still plenty left." She then took another bunch from her backpack and ate them herself.

Hongfei ate grapes while chatting with Li Xiangyi. At this moment, more pedestrians appeared on the road. Hongfei stood up and looked ahead, seeing a towering city wall. She quickly said to Li Xiangyi, "We're almost there! I can see the city wall!"

"Really? Let me see." Li Xiangyi also looked ahead. "We're almost there. Sit tight, I'm speeding up." Li Xiangyi helped Hongfei sit down and started the carriage moving. In no time, they arrived at the city gate.

"Whoa!" The carriage stopped.

A queue formed at the city gate, and Li Xiangyi drove his carriage to the back of the line. The queue moved quickly, and soon it was Li Xiangyi's turn. After paying the entrance fee, Li Xiangyi drove his carriage into the city.

Li Xiangyi found an inn and parked the carriage at the entrance. He jumped down, and Hongfei followed. A waiter approached Li Xiangyi and asked, "Sirs, are you here for a meal or to stay the night?"

Li Xiangyi said to the waiter, "I need two superior rooms."

"Alright, sirs, please come in." The waiter said, gesturing for them to enter.

The waiter led Hong Fei and Li Xiangyi to the second floor of the inn. He pushed open a room door and said to Li Xiangyi and Hong Fei, "How is this room?"

Hong Fei followed Li Xiangyi into the room and glanced around. She found it was a suite; the outer room was the living room, and the inner room was the bedroom. The decor was quite luxurious. She wondered if the room next door was the same.

The waiter stood at the door and asked, "Sir, are you satisfied?"

"Is it the same next door?" Hongfei asked.

"Yes, sir, all the rooms around here are the same," the waiter replied.

Hong Fei didn't ask the waiter any more questions, but instead looked at Li Xiangyi: "What do you think?"

Li Xiangyi nodded and said, "It's alright, this will do."

Seeing that Li Xiangyi nodded and agreed, Hong Fei had nothing to complain about. So she said, "Okay, you can rest first. I'll go rest next door too. Call me when it's time to eat."

"How about I go next door and you stay here?" Li Xiangyi suggested.

"Is there anything different?" Hongfei asked as she walked toward the waiter.

Hongfei walked up to the waiter and said, "Take me to the next room."

"Alright, sir, come with me." He then led Hongfei to the next room.

Upon arriving next door, the waiter opened the door and said to Hong Fei, "Sir, is there anything else you need?"

“No more for now,” Hongfei said.

"Alright, sir, please rest for a while. Just ring the bell if you need anything." The waiter then left.

Hong Fei entered the room and closed the door. She went into her private residence to wash up. While there, she tried to send messages to Lu Xiaofeng and Hua Manlou, but both prompted her to activate the teleportation array first. Afraid that Li Xiangyi would be worried about not being able to find her, Hong Fei left the residence after washing up. She lay on the bed in the inn and unknowingly fell asleep.

Hongfei was awakened by a knock on the door. She got up, opened the door, and saw Li Xiangyi. "What is it?" she asked.

"Come on, let's go downstairs for dinner. Aren't you hungry?" It turned out that Li Xiangyi had come to find Hong Fei to have dinner.

Hongfei yawned and said, "Okay, come in and sit down for a bit, wait for me."

Hong Fei returned to her room, and Li Xiangyi followed her in. He sat down on a chair in the living room and waited for Hong Fei.

Hongfei went to the washstand, picked up the kettle from the floor, poured some water into the basin, and washed her face with a towel. She put the towel down and went to the living room. She said to Li Xiangyi, who was waiting for her, "Let's go."

The two walked out of the room together and headed downstairs.
