Quick Transmigration: Finding a Successor for a Sect in JX3

Chapter 26 Betting on Wine with Lu Xiaofeng

When Hongfei and Lu Xiaofeng returned to the inn, she kept her promise and gave Lu Xiaofeng a jar of Xifeng wine. Lu Xiaofeng picked up the wine and drank it right away.

"Good, good wine. I have to say, Hongfei, you're not being fair. You've had such good wine, but you never invited me to drink it before. If I hadn't run into you this time, I wouldn't have known you had such good wine. Good wine!" Lu Xiaofeng exclaimed as he drank.

“Of course it’s good wine. This wine costs 100 taels of gold per jar, how could it not be good?” Hongfei exclaimed.

Upon hearing Hong Fei's words, Lu Xiaofeng nearly spat out his wine, but quickly swallowed it back down. He then clutched the wine jar tightly in his hands. "How much? 100 taels of gold. Just this one jar!"

“Yes! What else did you think? Drink slowly. Don’t spill it! There’s not much of this wine left, and it’s all sold out now.” Hong Fei kindly reminded Lu Xiaofeng when she saw his condition.

Lu Xiaofeng heard Hong Fei's words of advice. "You don't only have this one jar left, do you? You gave six jars to Old Wei. You're so generous. Oh dear, what a loss." Lu Xiaofeng thought about how Wei Ziyun had six jars, and suddenly the wine in his hand didn't smell so good anymore.

“That’s not the case. I only have a dozen or so jars of Xifeng wine left. But I do have other wines. And I can brew wine in my private residence. It’s just that I don’t know where to buy Xifeng wine anymore. I can’t buy it from the wine merchants I used to go to,” Hong Fei said truthfully.

"That's a pity. Looks like I'll have to drink less." Lu Xiaofeng looked at the wine jar in his hand, a regretful expression on his face. Suddenly, Lu Xiaofeng's eyes lit up, as if he had thought of something. He turned to look at Hong Fei.

"Hongfei! You mean besides Xifeng wine, you have other wines? What kind of wines are they? Let me see them." Lu Xiaofeng's expression was something Hongfei couldn't quite describe, but it made her a little itchy to try them.

Hongfei originally didn't care about the wine. But now, she didn't want Lu Xiaofeng to get the wine so easily.

Hong Fei raised an eyebrow, looked at Lu Xiaofeng, and said, "Want to drink my wine? It's not that simple. Unless—"

"Unless what?" Lu Xiaofeng became interested when he heard Hong Fei say that.

"Let's play a game, make a bet. If you win, the wine is yours. If you lose, you get nothing. How about it? Want to play?" Hong Fei looked at Lu Xiaofeng provocatively.

Other guests in the inn overheard Hong Fei and Lu Xiaofeng's conversation and began to watch and cheer from the sidelines.

"Let's play!"

"This is funny!"

"Don't be a coward, you big man. Are you afraid of a little girl?"

The onlookers were all jeering and cheering. They were there to see what the commotion was about!

Lu Xiaofeng was also in a playful mood. "Let's play! Why not? Tell me how we're going to play!" Lu Xiaofeng boldly asked Hong Fei to tell him how to play.

"This game isn't too difficult. You know, different wines correspond to different wine glasses. The game is this: I'll present a type of wine. You need to find the corresponding wine glass in this capital city and bring it to me. If you find the right one, then the wine I've presented is yours. How about that? Simple, right?" Hong Fei said to Lu Xiaofeng with a smile.

Lu Xiaofeng considered himself quite knowledgeable about wine. "You give me a question."

Hong Fei took a flask of Fenjiu liquor from her backpack and placed it on the table. She then gestured to Lu Xiaofeng, inviting him to join her.

Lu Xiaofeng picked up the wine and smelled it. He accurately named the wine, "Fenjiu!" Then he said to Hongfei, "Wait here!" and used his lightness skill to dart out of the inn.

When the guests in the inn saw Lu Xiaofeng leave, no one left; they just waited there to see if Lu Xiaofeng could find the corresponding wine cup and win the wine.

Hongfei and the inn's guests didn't have to wait long before Lu Xiaofeng returned with a jade cup in his hand.

Lu Xiaofeng placed the cup on Hongfei's plate and asked confidently with a smile, "How is it? Is it right?"

“Okay, by the way.” Hong Fei didn’t hesitate. She handed the Fenjiu to Lu Xiaofeng.

He then took out a jar of rose wine from his backpack and placed it on the table.

Lu Xiaofeng picked up the wine and smelled it, immediately catching a whiff of rose fragrance. Its color was a delicate red, exceptionally beautiful. After a moment's thought, Lu Xiaofeng called over a waiter. He whispered an instruction in the waiter's ear, and the waiter hurried downstairs. A short while later, he returned with a white porcelain cup and placed it on the table.

Lu Xiaofeng picked up the rose wine and poured a cup into a white porcelain glass. The white glass and the pink wine complemented each other perfectly.

Lu Xiaofeng won again! Hong Fei decided to make things a little more difficult for him.

Hong Fei took a jar of Jade Dew Wine out of his backpack. This time, he wanted to see how Lu Xiaofeng would win.

Lu Xiaofeng picked up the wine again, smelled it, and looked at it. He was a little stunned; this wine was no ordinary wine.

Lu Xiaofeng stood there thinking for a long time, and Hong Fei didn't disturb him. She just wanted to see what he would do.

This time, Lu Xiaofeng thought for a long time before heading out of the inn. He returned quite some time later, carrying something wrapped in a silk handkerchief. Lu Xiaofeng carefully placed the item on the table and gently unwrapped the handkerchief. Inside was a glass cup. Hong Fei looked at Lu Xiaofeng in surprise; he had actually found it.

Hong Fei gave Lu Xiaofeng a thumbs-up, indicating that she had conceded defeat. The wine was Lu Xiaofeng's, and he was happy to have won. He then asked Hong Fei if she had any more wine.

Hongfei saw that Lu Xiaofeng had even brought out a glass cup. She figured other wines wouldn't be a problem for him either, so she said she was done playing. However, she still offered him a drink, so she took another bottle out of her bag.

There are quite a few types of wine. There's Langguanqing, Tujiaochun, Ganhe, Ruoxia, and Fushui. These are all wines from the game *JX3*. I wonder if they exist in Lu Xiaofeng's world?

Seeing so much wine, Lu Xiaofeng couldn't resist. He drank heavily and got himself completely drunk. Hongfei, unable to handle the intoxicated Lu Xiaofeng, had the waiter prepare a bowl of hangover soup for him to drink. Then she helped him into his room to sleep. Lu Xiaofeng woke up the next morning.

Lu Xiaofeng came out of the room, looking listless and constantly rubbing his head. He seemed to have been quite drunk the night before. Seeing Hongfei sitting at a table in the lobby eating breakfast, he went over and sat down.

Hong Fei looked at Lu Xiaofeng's hungover face and wanted to laugh but couldn't. She still had to save face for him. "I've given you all the wine. Do you need to drink it all at once? How about it? Feeling unwell?"

"Stop talking. That wine was really good. It's just that it had a strong aftereffect." Lu Xiaofeng asked the waiter to bring him a bowl of plain porridge and a dish of pickled vegetables. He would have the pickled vegetables and porridge for breakfast.

After breakfast, Lu Xiaofeng looked a bit better. He wasn't as listless. He asked Hongfei what her plans were for the day.

Seeing that Lu Xiaofeng was still not in good spirits, Hongfei asked him if he wanted to rest for a while. She herself didn't have anything to do today, so she just wanted to go for a stroll in the street.

Lu Xiaofeng thought for a moment and realized he wasn't feeling quite right. Since Hong Fei could go out and play by herself, he decided to follow her advice and rest a bit more. So he went back to his room to rest.

Seeing that Lu Xiaofeng had gone to rest, Hongfei also headed out onto the street. Having just arrived in the capital, she wanted to have a good time exploring.
