“I’ll go with you,” Xiaoya said firmly. Although she was still a little uneasy, she knew that Feipeng’s decisions were always for her protection.

The two men quickly ran towards the other end of the alley, their hearts filled with urgency and fear. Huang Feipeng's mind raced through every detail of the missing girls' cases, and he wondered, "Are the fates of the missing girls related to me? Could it be that Old Li really has some ulterior motive behind all this?"

They searched relentlessly along the streets, trying to find safe haven. However, as time passed, a sense of helplessness crept into Fei Peng's heart; it seemed impossible to escape this predicament. His eyes darted around every now and then, a sense of unease creeping into his mind: "Could Old Li be secretly watching us?"

"Feipeng, do you feel someone following us?" Xiaoya asked nervously, her eyes darting around anxiously, as if she too sensed the potential danger.

"I'm not sure, but we must remain vigilant." Fei Peng asked himself silently, "What exactly is Lao Li waiting for? What is his purpose?" He knew that everything was slowly approaching, and the crisis was imminent.

In the dark city night, Fei Peng's mood grew heavier. His trust had been shattered, and his once clear path had become utterly chaotic. He recalled every conversation with Lao Li, trying to find clues, but each time he only found endless disappointment.

"Have you heard? That girl who disappeared from the hotel is a real mystery." At a street stall, a middle-aged man eating breakfast whispered to his friend, his eyes glancing at the hotel every now and then.

"I heard that the police have already launched an investigation, and the girl's family is extremely worried," my friend replied, his expression filled with concern.

Huang Feipeng, standing not far away, overheard the conversation. He frowned slightly, his mind filled with even more doubts about the complexity of the case. The hotel was frequented by all sorts of people, and almost no one knew where the girl had gone. Her disappearance not only troubled her family but also drew the attention of the entire society.

Stepping into the lobby of the "Brilliant" Hotel, Huang Feipeng was drawn to its retro decor. The rich aroma of wood permeated the air, as if telling the story of the place's history. He asked the receptionist about the missing girl, but the receptionist looked puzzled and shook her head: "I don't know anything about her. I left work last night, and when I came in this morning, I heard she was missing."

Huang Feipeng pressed on, "Which room was she a guest in? Did anyone see her last whereabouts?"

"She stayed in a room on the third floor, but we don't know the specifics. Our hotel's policy is to prioritize guest privacy." The waiter's tone was indifferent, clearly indicating he didn't want to discuss it further.

His heart sank; it seemed the hotel's tight-lipped approach wasn't without reason. He went up to the third floor. The corridor was somewhat dim, and several yellowed paintings hung on the walls, exuding an air of antiquity. Although the surroundings were quiet, a strange unease crept in.

He stopped in front of the missing girl's door. The "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door was particularly glaring. He knocked gently, but there was no response. Huang Feipeng frowned slightly and decided to open the door to see what was going on. The door wasn't locked; it opened with a gentle push.

The room was empty, seemingly unoccupied. Sunlight streamed through the curtains, illuminating the bed; the sheets were slightly wrinkled, indicating someone had just used it. Huang Feipeng entered the room, his eyes scanning the surroundings, trying to find some clues. He noticed a cell phone on the bedside table, with several unread messages.

"Looks like it's urgent," he muttered to himself, reaching for his phone and turning it on. Several unread messages appeared, all from a contact named "A-Jie." Most were about appointments and meeting arrangements, but the last message made Huang Feipeng's heart tighten: "Where are you? I've been waiting for you for an hour, come back quickly."

"Ah Jie? Is this the key to her disappearance?" he wondered to himself, deciding to put his phone away and check it more carefully later. Meanwhile, he continued searching the room, trying to find more clues.

In the closet, he found a coat stained with black dirt, clearly not hers. Huang Feipeng had a vague feeling that this might be one of the keys to her disappearance. He carefully took the coat out and examined the stains closely; they seemed somewhat sticky, different from the stains elsewhere.

Suddenly, he heard the sound of high heels downstairs, followed by hurried conversation. Huang Feipeng immediately went to the window and peered out through the gap in the curtains. He saw a middle-aged woman emerge from the hotel, looking flustered. She was clutching a small bag, seemingly searching for something.

"Who is this?" Huang Feipeng muttered to himself, a sense of curiosity rising within him. He decided to go downstairs and follow the woman; perhaps she could provide some important clues.

The woman walked quickly, seemingly rushing somewhere. Huang Feipeng followed cautiously behind, afraid of being noticed. She checked her phone as she walked, her brow furrowed, her expression anxious. Passing through a small alley, she suddenly stopped, looking around as if searching for something.

"What is she looking for?" Huang Feipeng wondered, and decided to get closer.

Just then, the woman's phone rang. She quickly answered, "Hello, what did you say? She's really missing? I'm coming right back." As she finished speaking, a hint of panic flashed in her eyes, and she quickly turned and walked back the way she came.

Huang Feipeng followed her discreetly, thinking to himself, "This woman seems to have a direct connection to the disappearance case." He quickened his pace, trying to keep his distance, but not wanting her to notice.

A few minutes later, the woman returned to the "Brilliant" Hotel, hurriedly ran into a room, and slammed the door shut. Huang Feipeng's heart tightened; he decided to wait outside, searching for more evidence. Standing in the hallway, he pricked up his ears, trying to hear what was happening inside.

From inside the room, the woman's voice came through: "How could you do this! Where is she now?"

"I don't know either. I took her phone. I thought she was looking for me..." Another voice sounded innocent, as if defending itself.

Huang Feipeng thought to himself, "It seems that their relationship is not simple." He listened carefully, trying to catch more of their conversation.

“We can’t stay here any longer. The police have started investigating.” The girl’s voice grew increasingly urgent. “We have to find a way to make her disappear. We can’t let anyone know where she is.”
