Sun Xiaoshi hung up the phone with suspicion, turned to look at Ye Feng, his eyes full of doubt: "What exactly are you and my sister planning to do?"

Ye Feng sighed helplessly: "You're an adult, can't you tell the difference between truth and falsehood? Don't you trust your sister?"

Sun Xiaoshi was still skeptical, feeling that Ye Feng's attitude was somewhat strange.

Ye Feng looked at him, his tone carrying a warning: "Hurry up and leave, or you won't be able to leave even if you want to."

The two went to the balcony.

"I'll go down first. You can jump down too, and I'll catch you," Ye Feng said, pointing downstairs.

It was pitch black downstairs, and I couldn't see anything.

Sun Xiaoshi's calves cramped up a bit, and he subconsciously took a step back.

"It's so high, you'll fall to your death!"

"The villa is full of Lao Liu's men. There's no other way out except through this road," Ye Feng explained.

Sun Xiaoshi looked him over suspiciously.

"You're not trying to trick me, are you? What if you don't catch me?" He thought of Lao Liu's promises and his sister's tough attitude, and his heart was in turmoil.

Thinking it over, he took a few steps back: "I understand! My sister left with nothing after the divorce. If something happens to me, my sister can inherit the estate! And she can frame you!"

Ye Feng felt an immense headache.

What kind of nonsense is this kid thinking!

Ye Feng was preparing to take action.

"Brother-in-law, help! Someone's trying to kill me!" Sun Xiaoshi suddenly shouted at the top of his lungs.

Footsteps echoed down the corridor.

Old Liu led two burly men into the room, and when they saw Ye Feng, they were clearly taken aback.

"How did you find this place?"

Sun Xiaoshi pointed at Ye Feng, crying out, "He's trying to kill me! He wants to trick me into jumping off a building so he can frame you, brother-in-law!"

Old Liu was stunned for a moment, then burst into laughter.

He patted Sun Xiaoshi on the shoulder, turned to Ye Feng, and said with admiration, "You've got some skills, kid."

Ye Feng said expressionlessly, "Adults should handle their own affairs and not involve the children."

“Who’s the kid!” Sun Xiaoshi retorted, the alcohol having emboldened him considerably.

Old Liu waved his hand, signaling for quiet.

"Breaking into a private residence in the middle of the night, what do you want to do?" He glanced at Ye Feng, his tone mocking.

Ye Feng ignored Lao Liu's sarcasm; he only wanted to get Sun Xiaoshi away from this troublesome place as soon as possible.

"Xiao Shi, come back with me."

After saying that, he suddenly threw the burly man who was approaching him to the ground with an over-the-shoulder throw, and then pushed another burly man, causing him to stagger backward and head straight for Old Liu.

Old Liu clearly hadn't expected Ye Feng to be so agile; he dodged to the side without actually stopping him.

"Want to leave? There's no door!"

Just as Ye Feng was about to take a step, a flash of cold light almost grazed his cheek.

A machete was driven deep into the door frame.

Sun Xiaoshi was so frightened that he collapsed to the ground, shouting incoherently, "Don't cut me! Don't hurt me!"

Old Liu sneered and ordered towards the door, "Break the legs of anyone who dares to go out today!"

Noisy footsteps came from outside the door, and three or four thugs blocked the villa's entrance.

Ye Feng frowned. The situation was more complicated than he had anticipated.

He regretted it.

I should have brought Xu San and Xu Wu with me. Now I'm all alone, and it'll be hard to deal with Lao Liu and his gang.

If I don't leave, I'm afraid I won't be able to get away tonight.

But if we leave now, Lao Liu will definitely be on guard, and it will be difficult to find Sun Xiaoshi again.

Old Liu strolled down the stairs slowly, a disdainful smile on his face.

"What? You're too scared to move? You thought you were so tough? Come on!" He looked at Ye Feng provocatively, "Today I'll leave you with just one arm!"

Ye Feng clenched his fist: "I just want to take Sun Xiaoshi back."

"Go back?" Old Liu laughed loudly as if he had heard a joke. "You think I don't know what you're up to? That bitch Sun Shangxiang is trying to find something on me so she can take a share of my assets!"

Sun Xiaoshi huddled in the corner, trembling.

He realized he had made a mistake.

He quickly explained, "Brother-in-law, you've misunderstood. I'm not on his side!"

Old Liu didn't believe him at all.

"Stop pretending! Sun Shangxiang is threatening me with this so-called evidence, trying to make me leave with nothing. You don't know that?" He glared fiercely at Sun Xiaoshi. "Your sister is trying to ruin my reputation, and I won't let her get away with it!"

Sun Xiaoshi panicked completely.

He shouldn't have listened to Lao Liu's nonsense in the first place.

With a sob in his voice, he pleaded with Ye Feng, "Please take me back, I was wrong!"

Police sirens sounded outside, growing louder as they approached.

Old Liu's expression changed, and he cursed.

He quickly dropped his fierce expression, replaced it with a hypocritical one, and waved to his men: "Stop! The police are here!"

His men immediately dispersed, pretending nothing had happened.

Ye Feng's heart sank.

Trouble is coming.

The police car quickly stopped in front of the villa, and several police officers got out and took control of the scene.

Old Liu stepped forward and pointed at Ye Feng, shouting, "Officer, this man broke into a private residence and injured my men!"

He clutched his chest, feigning pain.

Ye Feng watched his performance coldly without saying a word.

Explaining to this kind of person is futile.

A policeman walked up to Ye Feng and asked routinely, "What happened?"

Just as Ye Feng was about to speak, Old Liu interrupted, "Officer, I have more evidence here!"

He pulled an IOU from his pocket. "This is hush money written by Sun Xiaoshi, 50!"

The police officer took the IOU and examined it carefully; the amount on it was indeed substantial.

“This IOU…” the policeman looked at Ye Feng.

Before Ye Feng could explain, Sun Xiaoshi, who was huddled in the corner, suddenly shouted, "I don't owe him any money! He forced me to write it!"

Two heavily made-up girls stepped out of the crowd. One of them pointed at Sun Xiaoshi and cried, "Officer, he was drunk and tried to assault me! I was going to call the police, but he gave me this as hush money!"

Another girl chimed in, "Exactly! We were all terrified!"

Old Liu promptly took out his phone, pulled out a video, and handed it to the police: "This is evidence! He threatened these two girls!"

The police officer took the phone and looked at it carefully.

In the video, Sun Xiaoshi appears to be relatively sober despite having been drinking. He is arguing with two girls, who seem somewhat panicked and trying to avoid something.

The video ends abruptly here.

"I didn't! They lied to me! They tricked me into writing the IOU!" Sun Xiaoshi's voice trembled with emotion.

The police ignored his explanations, their eyes scanning back and forth between him and the two girls: "Five hundred thousand in hush money? Tell me what happened."

Sun Xiaoshi hurriedly explained, "It's not hush money! It's gambling debt! I owe it from playing cards!"

He looked at Old Liu for help, "Brother-in-law, could you talk to the police for me..."
